Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Lots had happened since then. That didn't mean that she had moved on. That didn't mean that she would not question it. But why now? Why, at this point, did she choose to stop and think at the place of her rebirth.
Phoenix. 11pm.
Raven had been standing here for half an hour now and hadn't moved. Infront of the cloaked teenager was a church. It had been underneath that very place that the Church of Blood and their followers had resurected her, forming her body from the blood of their worshippers. Raven shuddered slightly. No matter how hard she tried she would never be free. In recent times it seemed that what illusion of freedom she had would be lost.
Still, she was here, unable to do anything but think. There were two options to consider although both seemed to lead to the same demise. One would just prolong it with a death. Indigo eyes stared down at her foots, the only movement in the night being the wind. Could she ever make her mind up on this topic?
Was this why she had been brought back to life? To face such horrors in her future? But why as a teenager? Would this lead to her death? So many unanswered and unspoken questions. Couldn't she just die to avoid her fate? Or would that fate just move on to one of her siblings and her death be in vain? "More questions." [/b] Raven said, dryly. Why could they never leave her head? Why did they have to drive her here? Still, Raven wondered why she had been reborn in this body, younger. What was the universe trying to give her? Another chance at living a normal teenage life? That seemed amusing, it had been full of finding out about her half brothers and the possibilities of going demonic. But still the teenager did not move, as if she was bound here. Dark thoughts weighing down on her mind.[/blockquote][/div] [/style]

Phoenix was a nice place to visit if you didn't mind the heat during the day. Something Wanda was getting used to while not staying in her New York apartment all year long anymore. Thankfully her hair didn't get too frizzy in humid weather. She would have been really ticked off if her hair was not cooperating with her. Then take it out on the person who wanted here for a job.
'No kidding!' 'It takes forever to get our hair this luxurious and make people think we don't do anything to it.' Wanda was glad that this time the client was right and the person she was sent to kill was the real deal. No more surprises with getting jumped by a different person going to kill her! However on that thought she did wonder where Tony was at. She kind of liked the guy in a mercenary friendship way. Maybe she could sneak a date out of him in the future.
“Oh like he'll say no to this.” She ran her hands up and down her body. Not caring is someone noticed her actions or her talking to herself. 'He did seem a bit distracted when he saw us in the light.' 'We do have a killer body that drives men crazy!' “Too true. Although only the gay men won't look at me the same way. Unless they are and I just don't notice.”
The female mercenary stopped in her tracks as she saw someone standing in front of a church. So why is someone at this time of night just staring at a church. Were they open at all hours like in the olden days? She figured churches closed up like most every day business that were open during the daytime hours. “I don't think they have anything fun to steal. So maybe just go find a nice museum or something,” she said as she noticed how the young woman was dressed as she got closer.

Nor were the emotions something that she focused on. Facing the future, the two paths, occupied so much of her focus. “I don't think they have anything fun to steal. So maybe just go find a nice museum or something,” The Titan blinked, turning towards the voice that had spoken.
Catching Raven off guard was not a common thing but it didn't take much for the teenager to compose herself.
"I don't steal." |
[/b] Raven said, wondering what kind of person this may be if they brought up stealing when they first saw a stranger looking at a Church. It had made Raven wary and she cautiously tasted the emotional climate around her. "Although it is interesting that you leap to that conclusion."[/b] Her tone was emotionless as she spoke, despite the inner turmoil. Emotions were meant to be controlled but failing that she would attempt to keep up her emotionless face. If she believed it was working then maybe it would be easier. There had been nothing useful from the stranger's emotions. Still, that was not too suprising. There was not always a lot to be found from emotions. It just gave her an edge in the conversation. Another person's presence did not distract Raven from the Church. Even as she turned to look at the stranger she was aware of its presence. It was like a darkness that haunted her with questions. Don't steal? Well that was kind of pointless then. She titled her head to the side and her long blonde hair swayed behind her. Besides that long cloak made it seem like she was going to steal things. Unless she was being a rebellious teenager and this was her fashion statement. 'Should of picked another color.' 'What's with her non-facial expressions?'
“Well why wear a cloak if you weren't going to play ninja to steal things? Also what is up with not having a smile on your face or something? A bit of a downer if you're just like Kristen Stewart with no expressions at all,” she said with a frown. Maybe she was a mime? But mimes weren't allowed to speak and this young lady's face was not painted white. 'Or the tacky black and white striped clothes.' 'Totes for reals!'
Wanda was getting upset by this lack of emotion from the other girl. She is a woman, so she needs to be heard and seen! She walked over and proceeded to poke her index fingers on either side of Raven's face to force a smile. “Be happy once in awhile and not a broody person,” said the mercenary. “Broody people are not that fun to be around. They tend to suck the fun out of everything!” 'Literally.' 'A fun leech for the rest of us having fun.'
The women were unaware of being watched by a group of cultists. Or at least Wanda was completely unaware of several people watching the two women standing in front of a church. She was too busy trying to figure out why this woman was being an emo teenager like her life was so difficult to live. Now if Wanda told her life story, then she should be the one to be all broody and emo all the time than a few times at random.

[atrb=border,0,true][style=width:430; height:490; background-color:000000; padding:5; text-align:justify; font-family:verdana; font-size:11px; color:78747F; overflow:auto][style=float:left; margin-right:10px] The teen watched the stranger with her cold emotionless eyes. It was not often that someone walked up to her and expected her to be about to steal something. “Well why wear a cloak if you weren't going to play ninja to steal things? Also what is up with not having a smile on your face or something? A bit of a downer if you're just like Kristen Stewart with no expressions at all,” So there was the explanation behind the stranger's words although it did not bring any change to Raven's features.
"I wear a cloak because it..." |
[/b] Raven had never had to explain this before. It was unusual to have someone question her dress sense. "It hides my identity when I am protecting humanity from beings such as thieves."[/b] The Titan explained, her tone cold. She chose to ignore the lack-of-a-smile comment. It wasn't as if the stranger needed to know that. She wasn't supposing that Raven worked against the law because of it. The teenager was aware that the stranger's emotions were changing - she was upset. But Raven could see no reason why... Before she could fathom the thoughts behind the emotions, the teenager found her face being poked and and she moved back, trying to avoid the fingers. It wasn't very polite and Raven considered that it could possible be annoying. “Be happy once in awhile and not a broody person,” It appeared that the stranger did not seem to enjoy Raven's lack of emotions. “Broody people are not that fun to be around. They tend to suck the fun out of everything!”"I am not broody and I don't do happy."[/b] Raven said, attempting to move away from the woman. With the attention that the stranger was giving her, Raven had been unable to pay attention to the emotions that had moved around them. Instead she was focused on trying to stop the stranger from bothering her. "If my appearance does bother you, there is nothing stopping you leaving me in contemplation."[/b] The teenager said, unaware of the impending danger.
