That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep a view
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough}

"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Bright red and straight when it's short. She wears it often with blunt bangs and angled down along her chin on the sides. Currently she's sporting more of a mohawk of sorts. In her costume it appears as though she had thick curly red hair, but it is only a wig.
Eyes: Slightly on the narrow side of almond shaped. They are a soft, but intense shade of jade green. They often are covered in thick black liner that is often smudged down a bit. Nights and nights of no sleep has left intense dark circles under her eyes.
Height: 5'6
Weight: 125 lbs
Distinguishing Marks: She has a nautical star on her back between her shoulder blades, a swallow tattoo on her left bicep near her shoulder. She also has scars from old injuries and boot camp on her body in various places.
Appearance: Kate Kane is incredibly physically fit. She has a narrow waist and is a bit fuller through the hips, but doesn't have the normal super woman bust. She used to keep her hair long and curly but after being removed from West Point she cut it short and has kept it short since. Her skin is so pale it's almost a grey white. She enjoys smiling and has been told she's got a pretty nice one.
Also it could be noted here that Kate Kane is a twin, but her twin sister, as far as she knows is dead.
Face Claim: Pink (Alecia Beth Moore)
"I’m not interested in making new friends,
I don’t even like the ones I have”
I don’t even like the ones I have”
Likes: Ladies.
Being the dark shadow in the night that villains fear.
Though she's often mad at him, she loves her father and her family.
Batman Inc.
Loud music and crazy booze filled parties and dancing.
Training and practicing fighting.
Tattoos and piercings.
She loves being Batwoman.
Dislikes: Villains and bad guys in general.
Don't Ask Don't Tell.
Loosing those who are dear to her, no matter if she could help it or not.
Cults (especially ones who morph twin sisters into monsters).
She's almost always fighting with her family, even though she loves them.
People who don't accept her for who she is whether it be a partier, a strong fighter, ex-military or gay.
Guys who can't take a hint or keep asking if they can watch.
Personality: Kate is a strong woman, she's had to be. She lost her mother and sister at a very young age and her father, being military, never helped her reconcile that loss. Because of that she's not the most forthcoming with her feelings. She has a hard time trusting people because of the losses she took so early in life. The military only helped harden her further into very nearly void of all emotion except occasional happiness when she was with her loved ones.
Since she has been removed from the military, her personality has adjusted a little. She smiles more and has often been described as charming. When she sees someone she likes, she's not shy to approach and begin talking to people she doesn't know. While she appears friendly, she has a hard time keeping friends. Most get frustrated with her not wanting to talk about what's bothering her and leave. Also it's hard when your friends can only know half of your life at the most.
As Batwoman, Kate is often a bit on the sarcastic side, also she edges on sinister. If Batman is considered edging too close to the dark side then Kate is almost falling off the edge. She is intense and no nonsense. Precise and deadly. Also as Batwoman, she rarely smiles or makes joke when appropriate. One trait that Kate and her alter ego both share is an unshakeable, iron willpower. There is only one thing that can shake her and that is seeing her dead twin sister Alice. Other than that she can take just about any amount of pain, or fear and continue fighting toward her goal.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: N/A
Weapons Oh jeeze...
Weighted bat-shaped cape that can be used as a weapon or a form of protection.
Spiked gauntlets with removable batarangs as the spikes.
Pepper spray.
Suit is completely bullet proof from the tip of the cowl to the toe of her boot.
Two pistols as a last resort in the back pouch of her utility belt.
Her gloves are ridged to allow her to grip solidly and not let go of things.
Grappling hook gun.
Thanks to the support of DEO, her gloves also have built in tasers.
Strengths/Abilities: Kate is extremely athletically gifted and before she was removed from West Point she was senior elite in gymnastics there.
She has had incredible amounts of military training both before, during and after her attendance at West Point.
Anything that shoots or gets thrown, Kate can probably effectively do.
Her military training, combined with her almost inhuman willpower, has allowed Kate an incredibly high tolerance for pain and has taken multiple stabs and continued fighting.
She is skilled at aerial combat, on moving vehicles and even in free falls.
Kate has a deep knowledge about pressure points, anatomical weak points in human frames and has no qualms about telling people exactly what will happen internally before she fights them.
Weaknesses: Her dead mother.
Alice, her dead sister.
Her father (though she's often very angry with him)
Her romantic interest.
Her cousin, Betty Kane(Flamebird).
Basically her family are all big weaknesses of hers. Though she tries to hide it, she loves fast and loves hard.
She often will forget what she is doing if she is reminded of painful moments. She has more than once just fallen still in thought until the punch landed on her face.
Kate also gets very intensely driven by the loss of her mother and sister and that can cloud her judgement.
Other than those things, she is also still human, out of the suit she's just Kate Kane and can die of all the things humans can.

the sanest man alive to lunacy,"

History: When Kate was younger, and her father was still active military, her mother and sister were kidnapped. When they were found her sister was gone and her mother was dead. Her father though, always told her that her twin sister was dead. She continued struggling in young adult hood with a father who raised her like a little soldier whether she liked it or not. Luckily, she began to like it and wanted to be like him. She started training and doing gymnastics at about 13 which is about when she started trying to force herself to like boys. At sixteen she had her first girlfriend, but she kept it quiet, not sure how her dad would react to all of this. Also, if she wanted a military future she couldn't let it get out.
Yes, this was still the time of Don't Ask, Don't Tell where homosexuals couldn't serve in the American military and die for their country as any other person could. Kate continued to grow into a lovely young woman and after high school she enrolled at West Point. Her father could not be more proud. The only problem was, Kate still hadn't told him the truth about her sexual preference and when she met a woman at West Point in the same boat, she couldn't help but fall briefly in love. Unfortunately, she got caught and when asked by the board if she was gay or not, she said she was. Her girlfriend at the time said that she wasn't. Broken hearted, dejected and removed from her dream work since she was a child, Kate went home to face her father (a few months later Don't Ask, Don't Tell was repealed).
After that, Kate lived at an apartment, a very nice one, funded by her mother's life insurance policy. She had no job, no respect, and no intention of doing anything with her life except partying. Her father rarely came around lately, she assumed he was disappointed in her and now in her life choices. He probably should be. One night, as she was walking from a party she saw some women being attacked near an alley. She couldn't walk past anymore, couldn't stand this city's violence and villainy any longer. She attacked, taking the would be rapists down easily and finding a way to hold them until the police came.
It was that night that Batwoman was born. First, the costume was pretty hack and slash, black and crimson. Then she started getting her father involved, taking apart kevlar and bullet proof material. She remade the costume and kept the colors. She took to the night with a cowl on and the moniker of Batwoman. Needless to say, it caught the attention of Batman who began carefully watching her, grooming her when he could. Everything seemed to be going well for Kate, new girlfriend, fulfilling new hobby then things came crashing. She heard rumors of this thing called the Crime Bible. Kate was recognized in the book as the 'Twice-Named Daughter of Kane' and the gang that worshiped the Crime Bible kidnapped her to use her as an offering. During the sacrifice she was stabbed in the heart and tore the knife from her chest to kill the man who stabbed her and fight others until she collapsed in the arms of her girlfriend at the time, Renee Montoya.
When she woke up, she was back in her pent house with a new sense of life in her. She should have been dead but wasn't, mainly thanks to Renee getting there just in time. Things were quiet for a while, then a new villain hit the city, her name was Alice. The two of them struggled and fought several times and in the last moments of Alice's life it became clear to both of them, Alice was Kate's long lost twin sister.
Kate tried to save Alice, but she couldn't make it in time before she fell, presumably, to her death. She still hasn't completely reconciled the loss and has not spoken to her father since finding out she had been lied to all those years. Recently, she was hunting a meta human called the Weeping Woman who has been kidnapping and killing children in Gotham City. While doing this, Batwoman caught the attention of a new threat to her. A man (skeleton) named Director Bones who is Hell bent on figuring out who the Batman is. Through careful research he is able to learn who Batwoman's true identity is after he finds a nearly dead Betty Kane (Flamebird) and when the young girl was asked who she wanted, she said Kate's name.
Now, Director Bones held the threat over her head, the safety of the career of her father and those that she loves. All of this as well as her secret identity and all she has to do is do what he says. Work with DEO as an agent until Director Bones deems she is no longer needed. It's not what she should do, or what she wants to do, but it's what she has to do to protect herself, and her family. Once she accepts, she is told by Batman that as long as she's working for DEO there's no place for her with Batman Inc. She tells him that she simply has no choice.
