Hair: None
Eyes: None
Height: 5'11
Weight: He's a ghost....
Distinguishing Marks: Lack of a head for one.
Appearance: James is on Dapper cadaver, regardless of his total lack of a physical form he is rather well defined for a ghastly thing. Though his form is sheer in appearance in ghostly white, his attire is fitting for his name. Everything about the spectral man is deck out to the nines. Well the nines of the 19th century. Most noticeably, Craddock lacks any resemblance of a head, though a monocle and top hat stays afloat. Perfectly aligned as to where it should be.

Personality:
The Ghost walks a thin line between a Bloodthirsty revenge driven poltergeist and a harmless trickster.
Perhaps it's the gentleman in him, but Craddock does not like openly lying to people. It's not a gentlemanly thing to do, and it's beneath him. For this reason, while he might be very careful with just exactly how much of the truth he tells, he will not openly lie. Lies of omission, however...are another thing. In his time, James has also learned that no one has his interests at heart more than himself. Thus he is not at all stingy about getting exactly what he wants, exactly when he wants it.
Another side-effect of his immortality, Craddock has come to regard "right" and "wrong" as arbitrary choices that have no bearing on life. But he does believe that there is perhaps a desire not to do bad. "No harm, no foul" would be a good way to describe his feelings on this. He is not "immoral", per se, but "amoral". Meaning that he has no leanings towards either good or evil, but maintains a distance between such choices when it suits him. Additionally, James has a great disdain for people who have no more sense or skills to simply bash people and things to get something done. He does know that such kinds of "solutions" do have their place. However, they are not with him; that's what underlings are for.
The Problem with living forever is that one soon grows bored with a normal existence. That's one of the reasons he often makes forays into crime crossing wits with the superheroes is a most enjoyable "joust", and often is the only sport he has. Another side effect from such a long life is that one sees and hears just about everything in one's time. So if someone's looking for shock value from him, the person is likely to be sorely disappointed. Gorillas in regal attire taking over the world? Demons appearing and offering more power? Nope, Craddock has seen it all.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers:
As most ghosts, Craddock retains all of the note worthy abilities, among then the ability to render himself to the visible eye, only being able to be seen as a cold spot on thermal imaging devices. Another being the ability to phase through objects and people as well which cal leave them with an over whelming intentness cold feeling. Craddock has been known to as well when it suits him, teleport as little as across the room to other states and either dimensions.
A more notable and unique ability is to resurrect the spirits of others for a minimal time. Should he wish to give someone a fright with the ghosts of their parents and such.
The ghost is a being of great supernatural power and the limits of his ability are currently unknown.
Weapons
Flintlock pistol - The same pistol that Nighthawk used in the fight to drag him to the hangman's noose is the very same gun that Craddock carries. Providing a medium to channel his spectral energy into devastating attacks.
Cane - Like the pistol, James' skull topped cane provides a perfect medium for him to channel his supernatural powers through. Such as transmutating everyday objects into deadly creatures.
Strengths/Abilities:
Hand to hand - Though now a rather useless skill, Craddock is a superior fighter when need be. Having over two hundred years to home this and all of his abilities. As a ghost however it is only effective against the likes of other ghost such as Deadman.
Equestrianism- Craddock is a superb rider, having learned in the age of cowboys and gunslingers, such a skill was invaluable. The Ghost as been seen upon a spectral horse who can be at times solid enough to attack upon his own will.
Marksmanship - Just as his other strengths due to the years of use along with growing up in a time that required true skill to operate a gun. Gentleman Ghost is a exceptional shot.
Craddock's spirit can never be put to rest until his killer is put to rest first. However, since Nighthawk's spirit can never truly die neither can Craddock's.
Weaknesses:
Nth Metal - Regardless to the fact that the man is indeed a ghost, and there fore intangible, he can be damaged, harmed, and trapped by Nth metal. {Nth metal is a special metal native to Thanagar, though various members of the justice league out side of Thanagarians have been seen to carry it in their arsenal such as Batman and Green arrow}
Exorcism/Supernatural forces - Life his own source of power, magic and other supernatural forces designed to control, summon and banish ghosts are highly effective against him. However he is not a vampire, so don't toss a cross in his face or try an toss holy water on him. You'll just water the Grass. Unless your Deadman, then you can fight the Ghost rather easily.
Virgins - He is unable to touch or harm a virgin, though he is able to control an object and have it attack them in his place.
Noble blood- Any being of noble or royal blood line is able to cause harm to the ghastly man and banish him for an extended period of time

History:
Craddock's life of crime began at an early age. He was born the son of a distinguished English aristocrat, who later left James and his mother at an early age forcing the two into a life of poverty. During his youth James became a pickpocket to help his mother get by on her meager income. Though during this time James splurged upon a gypsy who resided by the Gallows at Tyburn. She foretold that James would 'Meet his end by noble blood' and that he if his foe dies that night he will live arise and live forever. However, James being the young brash kid that he was, never headed the warning.
Later during his life Craddock moved to the United States to seek fame and fortune as many were prone to during that age in history. Which is now considered St. Roch, Louisiana. It was there that The Highwayman Craddock crossed paths with two vigilante who would prove to be his down fall. Hannibal Hawkes, known as nighthawk, and Katherine Manser, Cinnamon. Hawkes being the reincarnation of Khufu, who was cursed to be reincarnated with his true love until the end of days. Now the two have been reincarnated as Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
However, Hannibal wrongfully accuses James of sexually assaulting Kathrine and hangs the Thief in cold blood. It was in face due to the nature of his death like the gypsy foretold that James was resurrected over a century later. He will never truly meet his end due to the spirits of his killers will never truly die as well.
It was then that he made his existence known to the world, starting a crime wave that encompassed all of the great capitals of Europe. During this time several of his attempts were thwarted by the winged duo. Though they were never able to capture the spectral thief due to his ability to literally vanish.
During his first arrival to Gotham city, The ghost made his mark rather quickly, being accuse by many of the established rouges as 'stealing their thunder'. Now Craddock merely causes trouble for the other heroes as a way to pass the time, finally coming to terms with his state of being at that it will never end. Now he can be found aiding other villains all across the globe, due to this and his knack for causing trouble he is and will ever be a large blip on the Radar until the end of time.
