And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"

Eyes: Yellow outlined flame.
Height: Variable [Enjoys 7”]

Distinguishing Marks: ..the fact he is a being made of Mystical Fire.

Unlike his wretched twin sister Umar, Dormammu chooses to remain in his Faltine form, having little love for his human form. This firey form is clad in black and red armor, draped over by a flowing mantle of the same color scheme. His height is usually around seven feet, this is chosen in order to add an imposing natural presence to his already frightening figure.

Personality:
Dormammu is a totally selfish being, he is driven only by his desire to do as he pleases. What pleases him you ask? Control. Control of everything within his reach, and when your reach is limitless, the only thing in your way is the efforts of others. While he is admittedly not a good person, he doesn't exactly recognize himself as a villain. He simply deserves to rule everything.. is that so wrong?
Another dominating trait of the Dread Lord is his outlandish self-confidence. Never believing he can be truly defeated, not in the grand scheme of things. A loss now will translate into a victory later, after all, Dormammu has nothing but time. There is also a special place in his heart for manipulation. He gets a special type of satisfaction from the deception of lesser beings.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers:
Sorcery over the Flames of the Faltine: Dormammus whole being is constructed of the Flames of the Faltine. As such, he is virtually indestructible and immortal. The essence of his being gives him more raw power and the ability to manipulate magics than any sorcerer, including Dr. Strange and the Ancient One. He has even bested wielders of the Phoenix Force.
Banishment / Binding: Dormammu has the ability to cast anyone out of the Dark Dimension, his domain, at will. However, he does not often do this.. more often opting to fight with them personally than just be rid of them. His ability to banish and bind was even so great that it was shown to be able to restrain the Goddess Gaea to the core of the Earth.
Astral Projection: Limitless inter-dimensional projection of himself.
Matter Transmutation: Inside the Dark Dimension he is capable of turning anything into whatever tool or weapon he pleases at will.
Inter-Dimensional Teleportation / Transportation: Dormammu is capable of opening portals from any one dimension to any other, be it to pass through himself.. to simply peer into, or to surge his power or physical through.
High Speed Flight: Dormammu can fly, faster than Dr. Strange in a contest of speed. True speed or limit is unknown.
Transformation: Due to him being made of the Fire of Faltine, Dormammu is capable of transforming himself in size and form to whatever he pleases, even reaching massive sizes to boost his physical prowess.
Elemental Control: Dormammu is capable of commanding the elements.
Time Travel: While able to travel through time.. this feat substantially drains Dormammus powers; it is for this reason he hardly (if ever) takes advantage of this ability.
Energy Projection: Dormammu is capable of passing his energy through projection in numerous forms. He could simply throw a bolt of mystical power in the form of the Flames of Faltine at his foes, or provide a substantial boost in raw mystical energy to a conduit of his choosing. He is even capable of constructing whole new beings of mystical energy to do his bidding. Those who he chooses to grant his power too gain raw mystical energy to rival even a dimensions chosen Sorcerer Supreme.
Energy Absorption: The Dread Lord is capable of drawing energy directly from his dominion, empowering and sustaining himself with its energy. However, this power is substantially weakened when outside of the Dark Dimension.
Resurrection: Through the raw power of his mystical energy, Dormammus power is capable of reviving the dead. He himself has never done this, though those who receive his power have done so.
Weapons:
None, though inside the Dark Dimension [See Power: Matter Transmutation] he could create whatever he wished while inside his domain.
Strengths/Abilities:
Dormammu is well-versed in an extra-dimensional form of martial arts.
His strength, speed and stamina are set to rival that of even an angered Hulk. This can be expanded on and boosted by his mystical force, and enhancing his size to massive extents. Despite this truth, his real power and talent still resides within his mystical abilities.
Weaknesses:
Dormmamus powers, terrifying as they may be, are only capable of reaching their maximum potential inside the Dark Dimension. On Earth, or any other dimension, he is weakened when passing through to other planes. This weakened state is so great that he is incapable of directly piercing the barriers placed by Earths Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange, as they are outside of his domain. Furthermore, when he does manage to find ways to bypass these barriers, his weakness is so great that Dr. Strange is more than capable of rivaling him in direct mystical combat.. a feat that would be suicidal within the Dread Lords domain.
The Staff of One has been said to make Dormammu tremble in the past. The extent or reason behind this is not elaborated on, and it is unknown if this is rumor or fact.
Beyond his mystical weaknesses that target his power, Dormammu is also quite gullible despite his immense power. Behind it all one of his grandest goals is approval; of his peers, of his sister.. even from his enemies. He is over joyed when offered approval in one sense or another, being swayed easily by his sister implying that she has always loved him as a brother. This secret motivation is known to very few, and greatly abused by the one who knew, who betrayed him the most – cut him the deepest – and for that she was exiled.

History:
Dormammu and his twin sister Umar were born from their genitor Sinifer, but they destroyed Sinifer when she tried to stop them from pursuing their wish for a physical form, as Faltines are naturally ethereal mystical bodies of energy. With that act of murder the two were chased out and exiled from the Faltines home Dimension. It was then they arrived in the Dark Dimension.
At the time of their arrival, the Dark Dimension had known peace for centuries, war was long since forgotten in the minds of its denizens. However, the 'Good' King Olnar wanted more. Despite this dimensions wizards, the Mhuruuks, warning the King against trusting the new arrivals.. he ignored them. Instead he agreed to grant Dormammu and his sister power if they taught him how to shatter dimensional boundaries so he could conquer new lands once more.
After eons of patiently waiting, Dormammu tricked King Olnar into opening a portal to the dimension that housed the Mindless Ones.. a race designed to do nothing but destroy. It was this instance that destroyed the Dark Dimensions armies and brought about the deaths of most of the Mhuruuks, and even the King himself. Dormammu and Umar worked together to raise a mystical barrier sealing the Mindless Ones back in their own dimension. This struggle greatly weakened Umar, paving the way for Dormammu to rule the Dark Dimension as it's one true Dread Lord.
From there.. the 'early years' of his reign are relatively unknown. Dormammu is familiar with countless powerful beings of Godlike standing throughout the realms. In past times unknown by many if not all, he was allied with Odin against unknown enemies; and even aided Eternity in banishing a powerful extra-dimensional demon to a 'space beyond space, in time beyond time'. While the Dark Dimension grew exponentially under his reign, his conquest had seemed to slow. Until he seemingly began a new campaign against Earth in the dimension that housed the now Sorcerer Supreme Dr. Strange. At the time, a man named the 'Mystic' (later known as the Ancient One) was the Sorcerer Supreme. It was to this man that Dormammu suffered a defeat during his first attempt at conquest.
Ever since this loss, his campaign against the Earth and this dimension in general has been more of a vendetta than an invasion. Eventually, he managed to trick and capture Dr. Strange, though actually aiming for The Ancient One when this took place. In the ensuing battle with Dr. Strange, Dormammu pulled too much energy from his domain and weakened the barrier keeping the Mindless Ones back. Unable to ignore this threat to his domain and followers, Dormammu withdrew from the fight to push the Mindless Ones back and reseal them.
To his surprise, Dr. Strange did not immediately flee, the Earth Sorcerer had stayed to aide him in beating back this threat and sealing them once more. It was as a result of this that Dormammu allowed him to leave uncontested and agreed to leave the Earth be for now, in order to repay his debt to Strange. This event is seen as a black mark in Dormammus past, disgruntled by the fact that Strange even thought his aide was required.
Sometime after this event, Dormammu banished and exiled his sister Umar to a pocket dimension within the Dark Dimension. This was a punishment for her going mad, and attempting to somehow over throw Dormammu. This solidified his dominion over the Dark Dimension once more.
However, in the time since his deal with Strange and securing his seat of authority, the Sorcerer Supreme had time to erect and strengthen barriers around his home dimension to bar the Dread Ones entry. For years now Dormammus only way to jab at the Sorcerer was to possess or empower followers within Earth, entering it by proxy with his power.. while he himself never even left his throne room.
These incursions never ended in Dormammus favor, but that didn't stop him from trying again and again. Even in the face of his somewhat predictable attempts at entry into the world of Strange, to kill him, he had began to be lax of late. Perhaps he was tiring of this vendetta, this personal quest, maybe even growing tired of targeting this dimension at all. After all, it was conquest he was after.. and surely other dimensions were less protected from one such as he!
However.. this lax feeling, this possibly waning interest was revitalized in an instant. A very special instant.. where quite suddenly everything changed.. and Dormammu felt it. Being as powerful as he was, with a domain so vast, how could he not?

Writing Sample:
The Dark Dimension. A peaceful dimension, not due to the kindness or nature of its denizens, but something greater. This great force keeping the whole of the dimension in check was not some common purpose, but a common fear.. a common Dread. This universes Supreme Rule was none other than the Dread Dormammu. From his throne room he could see any instance, of any realm – his or others, through any dimension.. his sight and reach were limitless. The other dimensions were only lucky that he was pateint, lucky that he was in no rush to conquer them. After all, be it now or later, a patch of dirt is all the same.. so long as it was his in the long run – he would be the victor.
In recent years Dormammu had been absorbed almost completely by his rivalry with the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth and it's dimension.. Dr. Strange. Still, that annoying mans barriers were effective, susceptible to the passage of time none the less. He was blocked now, but he would try then and again, and in due time the Sorcerer would find it quite impossible to block his advance. After all, Dr. Stranges lifetime – even with Eternities blessing – was eclipsed by the time Dormammu had. He would be forever, death held no sway over a being made of energy.. no, he could not die, and thus he could not lose.
Still, sitting on his throne he felt something change.. violently, suddenly. No, this was not the work of a Sorcerer, this was not planned. A grave mistake had been made, one that had put more at risk than anyone could ever know. Levitating, he rose from his throne, provoking the attention of all the servants in the chamber. As his heavy boot first met the ground, a train of servants – escorts and guards alike – filed in behind him. "An interesting development.. I wonder.."
