According to spokesperson Jan Kolins, the decision to expand Stark Industries' reach globally came directly from the top: "Mr. Stark, himself, disclosed interest in making Stark Industries a global effort and wanted to express this by changing the name from "Industries" to "International". He is very excited about the opportunity for a global impact," said Kolins during the press release. Stark Industries is no stranger to name-changing. When the first version of the company was founded by Isaac Stark, it launched as Stark Enterprises. Later, when Howard Stark- father of the current president and owner of the business and developer of the technology that gave us Captain America- took over his father's business, he renamed the company Stark Industries. It seems that Howard's successor, his only son Tony, is following in the patriarchal footsteps of his family and perhaps even taking it further. Not only has Stark dropped out of the weapons manufacturing business, and become the leading name in clean energy, but the owner of Stark International has more in store for his company. "Stark International has already opened branches in many other countries, including Japan, and will be working closely with the Fujikawa branch in the coming future," Kolins stated. But not only will the technological giant be focusing its reach across seas. The 2013 Stark Expo is sure to be a big hit. Rumors have been dropped periodically about what will be the big unveiling during this year's expo, but Kolins says that everything is very much under-wraps: "We don't want to spoil the fun!" The spokesperson laughed. "All I can tell you is that Stark International's subsidiaries, including Fujikawa, will be represented at the next Stark Expo. It's going to be a blast, just as it is every year. So get your tickets early!" Indeed it seems this year will be very active for the billionaire playboy and technological genius that is Tony Stark. |

The brave people you put your lives into the hands of every day are... selling themselves. To anyone. This year at Stark Expo 2013, where the best of the best in the technological sphere are supposed to get together and discuss ways to better the world, there will be a superhero auction. Anyone can bid and the highest price lands you a superhero for a day. Always wanted to fly? Save up your nickels and dimes to buy Superman. Want to jump on a giant webbed trampoline? Spider-Man's your guy. Want to get a superhero out of the way for total global domination? Well now is your chance because the amazingly intelligent minds at Stark International- and by that I mean Tony Stark- have decided a fantastic way to raise money for charity isn't by donating any of his billions, but by putting all of our lives in jeopardy for one day of carefree fun and games at Stark Expo. Also at the expo this year, if we all make it long enough to see it, will be Stark International subsidiaries Accutech and Fujikawa, who are reportedly going to be unveiling new search-and-rescue technology and new entertainment technology respectively. Stark himself will also be unveiling several projects he and the staff at Stark International (formerly Stark Industries) have been working one. While the expo, in good old Howard-Stark-fashion is open to any and all technological geniuses and companies to show off their skills and ways to "better the world through technology", as the Stark Expo logo states, we all know why millions of people flock to the event every year. The Ironettes. Although it has been rumored that since Tony Stark's newest team-up with so-called superhero group, The Avengers, the Ironettes may take on a whole Avengers-themed look. What will Stark's clever naming dub them? The Avengerettes? God, I hope not. Speaking of gods, I wonder if Loki the god of Mischief is going to show up to the superhero auction. Maybe he'll actually purchase one of them. Oh, the fanfictions I see coming.... So, if you're ready to party hard (or if you actually want to learn something about science), make sure you get your tickets early for Stark Expo 2013, set to begin this summer. It's sure to be entertaining. |
