Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

The Hulk had transformed back into his nerdy-looking human counter part, and the others seemed like they would know how to deal with him. The odd mythical creatures had either died or retreated, and the human emergency response teams were making their way to the former battle field to help those who had been wounded in the massive battle. He was sure many of the humans had died in the fray, but he had to assume that things would have gone a hell of a lot worse if they hadn’t shown up to help. Even Hulk, who had eventually turned and tried to kill the lot of them, had been of some kind of use during the battle. As long as he had the right target in mind, maybe he wasn’t so bad. Of course, there seemed to be no way of making him see who was bad and who was good- he was a rage monster who only wanted to punch faces in. Very fascinating. Any other time, he might have stayed longer to talk to the human he had became and find out more about the transformations. At that moment, however, he had more important things to deal with.
Like the fact that there was a ton of poison swirling around inside of him thanks to a massive bite from a Godzilla-like Medusa’s snake hair. Yeah… not really something that was going to be easy to explain to anyone who might have been curious. It didn’t matter to him, as he wasn’t in any condition to do a lot of talking anyway. He could barely fly in a straight line. Though he had held himself together for the battle, with the adrenaline faded and the battle behind him, it was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore what was going on inside of him.
He knew he needed to find somewhere to get help- some place that might be able to put together and antidote for him. However, his options were rather limited. Being an alien, he couldn’t go to a regular human hospital, as it would only turn him from patient to science experiment in thirsty seconds flat. He had to find some place that catered more to heroes and their strange needs, none of which he knew off the top of his head.
If a place like that even existed.
Finding an antidote on his own wasn’t going to happen- he couldn’t even see straight. Getting his ring to work properly enough to research what the poison inside him was and if an antidote could be created just wasn’t in his capabilities. When he was in pain, it was difficult to get his will power focused.
It made the ring harder to use, hence the bumping into buildings and falling out of the sky for a couple of seconds before getting the glow back around his body. Slowly, he moved down the streets, hovering just above them with the speed of a snail. His hand was wrapped around his stomach, clutching his side where the large fangs and grasped him and injected their doom venom. This was why he didn’t like to help save humans- it was always more trouble than it was worth.
A thought of heading back to the other heroes crossed his mind, but fled just as quickly. It suddenly didn’t matter what he wanted to do. His body gave out and he collapsed to the pavement with a heavy thud, lying right smack in the middle of an empty street. The late hour made the humans a bit more a scarce, though that may or may not have been a good thing. Groaning softly, he didn’t try to push himself up, needing a minute to regain himself. Just minute, that was all… then he would be fine.
Oh sure.

Steve was in incredulous disbelief that mythical creatures were attacking New York City. Either April fools day had come soon, or the reports that were coming in were surprisingly true. He wanted to leave the underground base to see if the reports were true, but he was stopped by Nick Fury. Nick told the cap that it wasn't his mission, leaving him to sit at the SHIELD base awaiting the postbellum of the invasion. Rogers wasn't a man to just sit back and wait for the world to be taken over, because he was given the super soldier serum for a reason. He sat in the gym area of the base and awaited word from Fury, but each minute felt like hours. He needed to join the fight, with or without the consent of the big cheese. Steve would've had to sneak past the SHIELD agents, in an attempt to retrieve his Kevlar suited costume from his barracks. Rogers quickly left the gym and made his way to his barracks dodging a couple agents.
After retrieving his gear, Cap left the underground SHIELD base on his 1947 Gilera Saturno San Remo motorcycle. He looked up into the city as he rode down the dark streets, eyeing the large plumes of smoke from afar. Buildings were on fire, and bent as if King Kong had entered the city. Cap looked around in an attempt to cast an eye on the supposed mythical creatures that were invading, but couldn't point them out. Before Rogers could enter the chaotic city, something jetted green and flying in midair collapsed to the pavement hard right in the way of Roger's path. With quick speed, the cap quickly steered to the left collapsing into a light pole in an attempt to evade the figure.
He flew off the motorcycle, but flipped in midair landing perfectly on the pavement. He held his vibranium shield over his torso, walking closer to the humanoid that was present before him. He looked at the man's side and witnessed two large holes, indented in his rib cage. Was this one of the mythical creatures that had been invading the city? The man was dressed in a yellow suit, along with a very noticeable logo upon his chest. The logo appeared to be alien, just from the way it looked. "That was a nasty landing, are you okay?" asked Steve as he squatted in an attempt to help the humanoid, "Can you understand me?" he added. Whether this alien was a friend or foe, the Cap stood ready just in case.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro groaned again, fighting off the black haze that had started to take over his mind. He had heard something screech nearby, though in his confused and delirious state he could hardly comprehend that it had been a motorcycle. Instead, he had absolutely no idea what it was, his mind telling him that he needed to get the hell up just in case he needed to fight. But his body was kind of ignoring his mind right at that moment, and he remained motionless on the floor, his chest heaving painfully as he struggled to breathe.
It was only when he heard someone’s voice that some semblance of consciousness found its way back to him, the Green Lantern forcing his eyes open completely to try and see what was going on. He imagined a threat wouldn’t walk up and try to speak to him, but his fever was getting the better of him and that made it difficult for him to know what was a good idea, and what wasn’t. Fighting this guy if he needed to didn’t seem like SUCH a bad call right at that moment. All he needed to do was get to his feet. Slowly, he turned his head towards the stranger, managing to catch the last portion of what the other was asking. Ironic that he was asking if he could understand him, when he hadn’t actually been able to understand what he had said before that. The ringing in his ears was what he was going to blame for that little fumble.
“I can… understand you,” he grumbled, mustering his will power so that he could sit himself up somewhat from the ground. He moved a hand to his forehead, ignoring the burning there so he could rub the side of his head ruefully. Looking at the man, he arched an eyebrow, needing a moment before his eyes adjusted well enough for him to make out more than just a blue blob on a dark background. This was… some kind of hero? Or maybe another villain. Maybe not all the mythical beasts had returned to their own little world. If that was the case, then he was really going to need to get off his ass.
If the world would stop spinning.
“You’re not from Greece… are you?” He asked somewhat teasingly, “I guess not… you look human….” He frowned. Human, yes, but he wouldn’t call the man hovering near him normal. He seemed very fit, and his ring indicate strange levels of power from him. Not a mutant. Not an alien. Just… different, somehow. Better than other specimens of humans his ring has given him some statistics for. “Who… who are you?”
(Sorry, I said he was a yellow lantern cause he is, but only in the threads set after this one. xD I started this one before he changed)

Steve wasn't a man to just walk past a helpless person in need. He cared for everyone, no matter what planet they were from. The patriotic hero took a second to look up into the city and witness the destruction. He looked around in an attempt to find any mythical creatures nearby, but spotted nothing but debris and lots of flipped over cars. The destruction was nothing compared to the aftermath of the War with Loki. He didn't even want to think about the casualties at hand. The cap looked down as the man showed signs of life, “I can… understand you,” Spoke the green suited humanoid. Cap sighed with relief, as he spoke with calm words. He was always a man who trusted others easily, but right now he needed intel on what the hell was going on. “You’re not from Greece… are you? I guess not… you look human….” Steve grinned at the mutant's words, but only held it for a second. He knew this form could read his levels and his body scales. When people placed their readings upon him, they are uasually astounded at the super enhanced molecular readings of his body, therefore leaving Rogers not surprised of their reactions. "My name is Captain Steve Rogers, what's your name and what the hell is going on?" he asked, wondering who caused the large amounts of damage. He looked down at Sinestro's side, and continued eyeing what seemed to be large fang holes engraved his side. The wounds looked very deep, leaving a weird tinge of slime. "Did you get bit by a large spider? Nasty creatures, very hairy, large fangs" he spoke with a small worried look. He remembered the large tarantulas in Egypt and Libya, when the Axis powers invaded back in 1941. Steve stuck out a finger, making his way towards the wound, eyeing the venom. "I need answers."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro watched the human carefully, though not because he thought he was evil. After everything he had dealt with, he would pound some super-human into the ground if he needed to. He was just feeling feverish and it made it difficult to know which way was up, much less who was a good guy. Either way, he was struggling to be on his guard. Struggling, and failing. Coughing faintly, he continued to eye the other as he introduced himself. Captain Steve Rogers? So he was in the army? That was a strange uniform, he had to admit. he hadn't seen much of earth, but he knew their armies well enough standing against them in the past. Not once had he ever seen a man in uniform wear something similar to what this Rogers had on. He looked more like a super hero than anything else- something else he was used to dealing with. Just... not one he had ever seen before. From the other dimension?
Seemed the day for it.
He asked if he had been bitten by a spider, and the red-skinned alien managed a shake of his head. "no... not a spider," he gasped, trying to catch his breath, "snake... some kind of big... snake hair..." well, that likely made no sense. He knew the other was looking for answers, but he was hardly in the condition to make coherent sentences. If he was looking for an in depth story of what had happened, he wasn't going to be getting one right away.
"I can... tell you... everything... but I need..." no, he couldn't bring himself to say he needed help, even with a wild fever and his body completely crashing down around him, "... I've been... poisoned... an antidote... I need... an antidote." He looked at the human, wondering if he was talking to the right person. A hero might be more inclined to help him than some army man. If he really was a soldier, he would likely turn him over to his higher-ups, and he would easily become a new experiment. but if he was a hero, and used to dealing with stranger beings, then maybe, just maybe, he had a chance. It wasn't like he could do much about it either way, at that point. His body was shot and he couldn't get his mind focused enough to use constructs. Whoever this Rogers really was, he was in command of the situation.
Sinestro didn't like that anymore than he liked saying that he needed help.

Steveknew this man was in dire need of help, just by the way he was slurring his words. The man had informed him that the fang wounds weren't from a large spider, in which Rogers had anticipated. He couldn't understand what he was saying, molding the words snake and hair together. Steve expressed a confused look, and continued eyeing his deep venom infected wounds. "So you're saying a large serpent with hair, caused all this" he asked. Steve knew he wasn't going to receive a clear response, because of the weakness from the venom that thrived through his veins. An antidote needed to be conjured fast, before this being would've ended up another casualty of war. He only hoped this being wasn't using him, to get cured. Steve hated being stabbed in the back, because most of his enemies took his kindness for weakness.
"I'll get you help" Cap spoke as he stood up looking around. Steve had no clue where he was going to get an antidote, especially through all the destruction. From the looks of the wound, the venom looked like it was given in a large dose. "If only Banner was here... He's a real doctor" he said as his eyes scanned the wreckage for an unscathed hospital building. Bruce Banner would've known how to synthesize a cure for the venom. He had a lot of experience in synthesis, but failed in his case. The Hulk was a stubborn bastard, and wouldn't rid his body even if the cure were right. "I didn't catch your name" he said in hopes to keep the being conscious.

If he did survive the poison in his system, he was going to have to make sure he told this man what he knew- it would be wrong of him to say he would explain, and then bolt. Still, he wasn't going to give more information than he needed to, especially when it came to the other people involved in the battle. Most of them weren't unfamiliar to him, which meant he didn't want to compromise their positions if it turned out this guy shouldn't have been trusted in the first place.
Assuming he survived- it didn't look like the hero knew what to do with himself, much less what to do with the ill alien. Sinestro sighed. there was a chance he could muscle through the poison on his own, but it seemed like a slim one. With the healing function of his ring disable, at least for the time being, he really was looking for some kind of assistance.
Rogers asked his name, and the red-skinned alien sighed.
"Sinestro," he said faintly, "Thaal Sinestro." He was feeling very tired, but maybe Rogers had the right idea. If he kept talking, he wouldn't pass out. It was just talking that was getting to be the trick. The longer he spoke, the harder it was to get the words out. Panting softly, he looked at the man again, offering a faint smile. "If you have... some kind of base or something... I wouldn't mind going there..." he hoped that would give the man some kind of an idea. Maybe he worked from some kind of group and had a base, like the league had watchtower or that shield place had its own headquarters. If the man felt like taking some stranger there, of course. Otherwise, he was probably on his own.
Which wasn't going to end well.

New York was in chaos with fires everywhere and mass panic. Athena didn't blame the humans. An attack by creatures thought to be myth would cause panic even with everything that's happened already. She was walking the streets of the areas just outside the city, helping who she could along the way. She saw some who had been in the initial attack, but many others had not been there. They were either attacked by straggling monsters, or attacked by humans looking to use the panic to prey on others. Athena was walking down an abandoned alley when she saw something green flashing across the sky and land fairly close to her. She was going to head there, and turned a corner when she came upon a man attacking a woman. She was screaming, trying to get free of his grip and he was laughing, trying to strip her. Athena narrowed her eyes and walked calmly over to them. Before the man even noticed the goddess, she had him by the front of his shirt, pressed to a brick wall. "You touch another woman like that and I'll geld you, mortal." She said, anger blazing in her green eyes. Surprisingly, he seemed to know what she meant because his eyes widened and he spewed out apologies to her and the woman he was assaulting. She let him go and he ran off, not looking back. After Athena helped the woman, she headed in the direction where the mysterious ray of light disappeared. She soon came upon two men. One she recognized as Captain America, whom she knew because of a past event. The other was on the ground. He wore a green suit and was obviously injured. Athena had no clue as to why he was, but she headed over to the two. When she was close enough to them, she spoke. "Captain, nice to see you again, given the circumstances. Need any help?" She said, looking at the hero. Outfit: Outfit (minus the headphones)Words: 353 Notes:

A PATRIOTIC HERO [style=border-right:10px solid #0066CC; letter-spacing:0px; border-top:10px solid #0066CC; background-color:#000000; padding: 3px; font-family:arial; font-size:10px; text-align:justify; line-height:9px; ] Steve Rogers wasn't going to let this being bleed out on the street. He was a person who cared for the well-being of others, even if he was an alien from outer space. Steve knew that the UFO's and extraterrestrial beings weren't a farce, but this extraterrestrial would've been one to enlighten him as soon as he was better. Steve continued looking at the wound, knowing very well that he didn't have much time left. The man could barely speak, making the Cap realize that the venom was attacking his nervous system and succeeding. Cap squatted back down to Sinestro's position, as he received a name. He placed a hand over his large forehead, and felt the instant warmth. "Yeah you're burning up, don't worry Mr. Sinestro I'll get you help one way or the other" The Star spangled hero spoke.
For some reason Steve felt like he was being watched, from an unknown entity. He glanced around trying to find the source, but knew it was only a matter of time before Sinestro was out cold. He needed to keep him awake, and aware before the toxins would've entered his brain. Steve nodded at Thaal's question, grabbing a hold of his arm to try and lift him up from the ground with support. Before he could throw Thaal's arm over his head, a familiar voice filled the air from behind him. He quickly released Sinestro's arm, to turn around and confront the familiar voice. Sure enough, it was the Goddess of Athena. "Well aren't you a sight for sore eyes" he spoke with a wide grin. Cap stood up and looked into her eyes, but quickly turned his attention back to Sinestro. "This man is in need of some dire help, he said he's been bitten by some type of... haired-snake" he spoke as he pointed to Thaal with his hand.
Athena had arrived at the perfect time, because he knew Thaal would've died before he was brought back to the SHIELD base. Extraction was held off, by innocent civilians being rescued within the destruction. He'd once witnessed Athena save Frank Castle from near death with her healing powers, but hopefully her powers would've worked on the anatomy of Thaal's body.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] The Green Lantern couldn't do much to protest as Captain America tried to help him out, even if he didn't think he was doing a very good job. It felt like he was lost in that situation, and had no idea what he was supposed to do. Probably normal- most heroes were better suited to jump into burning buildings or beat off a swarm of armed thugs. Dealing with someone being poisoned was more of a doctor's thing, though Sinestro was pretty sure even they wouldn't be of much use to him. How many doctors were versed in antidotes for a mythical being's hair biting someone?
He was vaguely aware of Captain America speaking to someone, though he couldn't figure out who for the life of him. Someone he was happy to explain the whole situation to, it seemed, so hopefully not a villain looking for an opening to take advantage of the both of them. Surely Rogers wasn't an idiot, and was just cheerful... right?
He was doomed.
Forcing his eyes open, Sinestro turned his head slightly towards the pair, if only because he was annoyed by Captain's inability to explain things correctly. Yes, it was his fault for not being able to say it coherently the first time around, but in his mind that wasn't enough of an excuse not to blame Rogers.
"Not... a hairy snake...." he breathed weakly, struggling to keep his eyes even somewhat focused on the blurred pair ahead of him, "... hair... that was snakes.... medusa..." That was the name- he wasn't likely to forget it any time soon. He was just thankful that he hadn't been turned to stone, and had only been poisoned. Or, was that really better? He was in terrible pain, he could feel himself getting weaker and it didn't seem like anyone was going to be able to help him after all.
Not a great day, considering he had just help save a whole city. Was this going to be his thanks? Death by poison?
Not cool, karma, not cool.

Athena smiled at the captain. Despite her best efforts, that man always brought a smile to her lips. She looked down at the man he had been trying to help up and the smile faded. She walked over to him, listening to the captain's words. She raised an eyebrow. "Haired snake?" She asked, trying not to laugh. She knelt down beside the man clad in strange clothes and inspected his wound. She placed a hand gently beside the wound to open it slightly to see inside. As soon as she looked in, she knew immediately what was wrong. She looked up at the man who looked very out of it as he said what she had suspected. "This wound came from Medusa, Captain. No amount of human medicine could have helped him. You are right though; I can definitely help him. The problem is that when I healed the Punisher, I was weakened. You didn't see it, but being who I am, I could definitely feel it. I'm... 'rested' now, but this'll take a lot out of me, a lot more than the Punisher's wounds." Athena said, rubbing her hands together. She didn't wait for Steve to say anything because he might object to her healing him now that he knew she would be greatly weakened. She looked at the man on the ground. "This'll hurt a little, but I'm positive you're already in a copious amount of pain." She took in a deep breath before bringing forth as much strength as she could muster into her magic. She could already feel herself weakening, which scared her. Once she saw the green 'aura' around her hands, Athena placed them over the man's wound and started using her magic. The light was very bright considering all the energy she was using. She put every doubt she had back in her mind; Athena liked to help and, even though this man was definitely not human, she still wanted save him. 'Words are sharper than swords...' She thought. Athena felt her power draining fast as she saw the last of the poison being driven from his body. She could almost laugh at the thought of Steve seeing her eyes go from a bright green to an almost black green. She had to concentrate though, because, even though the poison was out, he could still die if she didn't heal the wound. Eventually, she got it healed and Athena stopped healing him. She fell back on her rear and exhaled, feeling exhausted. She was still anxious about her weakness; at the moment, she was almost as weak as a human and she's never had that low of power before. She looked up at Captain America an gave him a weak smile before looking back to the man before her. Outfit: Outfit (minus the headphones)Words: 500 Notes:
