Wonder Woman joins Superman's meeting along with the rest of the JLA to discuss important matters regarding the new universe.

Wonder Woman is sent by the JLA to find Sinestro. Though he states he is a newly refined man, Wonder Woman, as well as the rest of the league, greatly doubt his claims. A verbal spout occurs before Wonder Woman is forced to put her lasso around him to get the truth out of Sinestro. He reveals that he is struggling to find out who he actually is and has no ill intent. Diana feels horrible, like the bad guy, because all along he was telling the truth. Sinestro blasts Wonder Woman with his ring, helping himself to feel better. He then tells her about a fire raging in a hotel with politicians involved. It turns out it was a terrorist plot by a group of terrorists wanting to take out a select group of politicians. Diana and Thaal fight off their attackers and save many innocents. After the battle, Wonder Woman tells Thaal that she will report favorably to the Justice League.

Diana spends the day trying to gain leads on various superheroes and supervillains by speaking with top executives, CEOs, and general big wig businessmen. What she discovers is there is a masked hero on the streets of New York and a possible gang fight. Wonder Woman is tipped off by the police that there is about to be a gang war on the bad side of town. Taking their coordinates, she goes there only to find a masked man in the middle of it all. Diana takes him and tells him to make his men back down. He tells her that he is not apart of the gang but in fact, is trying to quell the conflict. Wonder Woman joins him in battle. The man easily takes control of the scene and calls the cops and doges off into the darkness. Wonder Woman gives her statement to the cops and to a reporter. She tells the reporter that if ANYONE has ANY information about Umbra, to contact the Justice League hotline immediately.

The Gods Have Turned Against Us

Diana is plagued by fleeting thoughts that the Gods are up to something. She attempts to gain entry onto Mount Olympus, as usual, however... this time she is strangely barred from entering. Diana seeks counsel with her mother, Queen Hippolyta, on the Island of Themyscira. The Fates have given Queen Hippolyta a message for Princess Diana. All the message says is "New York City" and "Mutants" in a different language. Wonder Woman readies the Amazon troupes the next day at a large gathering of mutants at a convention center in New York. Mythological creatures start pouring out of the Earth.

Raven helps civilians as Wonder Woman takes the offensive. The Hulk transforms to encounter different myth creatures though he gets turned to stone by Medusa. Diana follows Medusa after being saved by the Hulk, to a traveling exhibit of fake Greek relics and artifacts. There, Medusa is attracted to what Wonder Woman thinks is a fake replica of the Stone of Athena--the legendary stone used by the Gods to ensure that Medusa cannot turn any of them to stone.

The two confront each other and Diana makes off with the Stone of Athena after smashing its display case. She brings it to Raven, where Raven notes that it isn't a replica but the REAL THING. Wonder Woman wonders what it is doing on Earth, but she has Raven imbue it with magical power, where it begins to glow. Sinestro shows up and Diana tells him to act as an offensive power. She goes back into the tattered building and revives the Hulk with the Stone of Athena.

By using the Stone of Athena on The Hulk to transform him from stone back to his green form, she unintentionally powered up Medusa, turning Medusa into a giant Godzilla-like creation. Apparently, this is what Medusa wanted all along--the depowered Stone of Athena to gain power (via Raven) and then to be used on a metahuman (via Hulk). This strange combination burst forth to create a monster in Medusa.

Medusa fought against Hulk, Wonder Woman, Sinestro, and Raven. Wonder Woman tried to kill Medusa the old fashioned way, via slicing off the gorgon's head, but that didn't work. She commanded Sinestro and Raven to distract Medusa so that she could get the Lasso of Truth around Medusa long enough to figure out how to kill the creature. Hulk, Raven, and Sinestro distracted Medusa long enough so Wonder Woman could get the rope around Medusa.

It turned out that Medusa would only die by the very Stone that had made her powerful: the Stone of Athena. Wonder Woman pressed the Stone of Athena to Medusa as Medusa cried out. Diana commanded Sinestro to continue firing at Medusa, while she told Raven to revive a snake-bitten Hulk. She hoped that Hulk could provide the necessary last blow needed to kill Medusa. And he did, ripping the head off the foul creature. Medusa dies and the Gods take their monsters and leave the scene.

However, the Hulk is still deadset on ravaging the scene. He attacks Wonder Woman but is interrupted by Superboy. Wonder Woman takes the time to find that both Raven and Sinestro are in poor health thanks to the snakeheaded Medusa. Feeling like a failure, Diana cradles Raven in her arms and curses the Gods for their doing.

Diana is in New York, trying to convene with magic users to see if the Gods have further plans to attack mutants. As she is ending her meeting, a car comes barreling through the magic shop. She hurries out and notes that the green creature named Hulk is on a rampage thanks to something Joker did. Wonder Woman quickly joins the battle, hoping that she can distract the Hulk long enough for emergency personnel to evacuate civilians as well as more superheroes to appear on scene.

As they are fighting, Spider Man appears on the scene to save Wonder Woman from a death grip by the Hulk. Soon, the Black Canary appears and angers the Hulk with her piercing scream. The Black Widow attempts to make contact with Bruce Banner underneath the Hulk's guise.

After a long battle with Medusa and Sinestro and Raven almost dying, Wonder Woman is not mentally all there. She goes to her best friend, Superman's apartment to speak with him and hopefully get her morale back on track.
