Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

There had been a good response to her summons as well as a surprise in the form of Kara, or Supergirl. Then there had been Wally's arrival which had been useful as the speedster was one of the oldest members of the Teen Titans. It was a shame that she had not been able to get a hold of any of the previous leaders of the Teen Titans such as Robin or Wondergirl but everything should sort itself out. The dark teenager suspected that Wally would become the leader.
Still, the socialising had tired her and Raven took solace in a quite morning meditation on the room of Titans Tower. The day promised to be warm with the sun giving a soft golden touch to the landscape and only a slight chill to the wind. The city was beginning to wake up, the Titan could feel emotions as they began to stir, the early morning workers getting up as those with a nightshift drifted off to sleep.
It was a good atmosphere for meditation and Raven sat down on the roof, lifting into the air as she went into meditation. Emotions had become a more prominent problem for her, hence why she was assembling the Teen Titans once more although they had yet to find out that purpose. There was hope that she may still find a way to stop the emotions effecting her. Meditation was one of them. Peace entered the girl's mind as she relaxed, allowing thoughts to pass through her and the emotions to fade and dissipate in the sun's light.[/style]

Lor made his way through the city looking around for each and every sight he could take in. It was a gorgeous city that was thick with social interactions and life, he had heard about a team of young people who were assembling, young people with super powers. He figured it would be a great place for him to begin his training to mature into an actual hero. He had power, but not knowing how to use them could be detrimental to him or the people he was trying to protect in the future. Lor was positive that he would know the group when he saw it, or at least he would know the building they were in, it was said to be in the shaped of a large ''T''. And he was positive it would not be in the heart of the city, which is where he was.
He lifted into the air and began to get a bird's eye view of the city, until he finally spotted the tower on the outskirts of the city on an island. He did not even need to use his telescopic vision, it was friggin huge! Lor began flying in the direction and sped up as he got closer and closer. He stopped about one hundred yards from the tower and began looking at it through an x ray perspective. It was complex, a lot of time had been spent building it. And also, there was a person on top of the building. No doubt someone he would need to talk to. He floated over to the young lady and began to speak.
''Um, Hi, I'm Lor.... Lor Zod. I came here because I heard there was some sort of group being gathered, and I would like to join'', he said landing and watching her levitate. He remembered meditation, it was useful in the mountains with the monks. The more he thought about it, the more he realized how ill prepared he was to be a super hero, not because he was weak or anything, but he didn't even have a costume to fight in. Even now, all he was in was a black tee shirt, and a pair of blue jeans with boots.

Normally the Titan would have sensed the emotional presence that was closing in on her location but as it was, the half-demon was only shaken from he peaceful meditation when the stranger landed and spoke. ''Um, Hi, I'm Lor.... Lor Zod. I came here because I heard there was some sort of group being gathered, and I would like to join'' Indigo eyes opened and took in the form of the teenager before her.
Placing her feet on the ground, Raven stood up, politely and introduced herself. "My name is Raven, it's nice to meet you Lor. You have heard correctly, the team is the Teen Titans and there was a meeting yesterday but that doesn't mean that you can't join." |
She said, slightly cautiously. From what she could sense of his emotions there as no hostility in him and Lor had been honest about what he had said. Of course, it always paid to be wary about strangers who suddenly appeared. Just being an empath made it easier to make judgements. Like Lor, Raven was dressed casually for now, wearing dark blue shorts and a dark brown hoodie although the hood was down. "Do you need anything to eat or drink?" She offered, politely. After all, he was a guest and it was polite. The Titan wondered if Lor was from the other world that had merged with this one as it didn't appear that he knew about the Teen Titans as he had referred to them as a 'team' and not by name.[/style] tags:Lor word count: ??? muse: None notes: N/A Table Layout By BRY, 2012[/style]

Lor took note of her tone, she was seemingly level, which was good, all things considered, it was a good thing. It meant she would be a good teacher for him to keep his emotions under control. ''Um, no thanks, I don't require food'', he said looking around the tower. She would undoubtedly want to know his powers, and then he would have to explain about his dead race of people, and perhaps even Krypton's back story. It did not seem that too many people knew about them, besides his cousin, whom had already apparently joined the team.
''Um, what exactly is the team for? And what was the meeting about'', he asked rubbing the back of his head. He had no idea if he would even be able to help these people, but he would try. He began looking at the sun and immediately felt re-energized. It truly was amazing that he had a constant source of energy and life here, it was like the first time he had ever seen the sun all over again. He needed the sun, just like human's needed food. But all the same, he enjoyed eating, the food on this planet was awesome, the monks had amazing cuisine. And the cities had even better cuisine. And most importantly, he could eat it for hours and not get full.

She didn't try to use her power like that too often but it was only natural to try and judge a character who was going to be a possible future ally. ''Um, no thanks, I don't require food'' Raven looked back at Lor as he spoke and wondered whether he meant that he didn't ever need to eat or whether it was just at this time.
''Um, what exactly is the team for? And what was the meeting about'' So it appeared that he was completely ignorant of the situation, or else he might be testing to see if she trusted him. "The Teen Titans work to help people. We're like the Justice League, only teenagers. Quite often the Teen Titans is a place to learn and get away from mentors." |
Raven explained, looking towards the teenager. "And the meeting was merely to help everyone to get to know each other. It doesn't matter if anyone comes later." For a second she was silent once again, considering whether to invite Lor inside. It would be polite and the done thing. "Do you want to come inside. I can show you around. Give you any information that you want to know." Raven said, still not completely sure of Lor but willing to trust him and to see how he played. The best way to judge him would be to see how he reacted to a situation when the Titans were needed but for now everything seemed calm in the city.[/style] tags:Lor word count: ??? muse: None notes: N/A Table Layout By BRY, 2012[/style]
