Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Where to?” As Umbra spoke, Raven looked out at the city before turning her gaze back to the man. Silently, the mystic woman took in his mask and hat, which once more adorned his features. Definitely a better disguise than hers. The Titan was glad that Umbra had decided to leave the topic of Raven's darker side behind. Maybe she shouldn't have brought it up. She had only thought it fair to warn him. Still, things should be easier now. Focusing on the emotions over the people around her, Raven found several local spots of extreme negative emotions.
"I have located several of high stress and fear. Would you mind if I teleported us there. It wouldn't be so easy to give you an adress." Raven said. Not that she couldn't give an adress. This may not be a town that she often visited but she did have some knowledge of the area. Besides, she could always teleport there and get directions and then come back. "Or, if you prefer we can just go over the roof tops." |
[/b] The teenager added. More often that not, Raven just teleported others or they would make their way to the scene in some way. It was different when it was a stranger. Still, the teenager was willing to try and keep things easy. After the arguement, Raven wanted to try and create ammendments. If she hadn't had spoken up then everything would have been fine. "I'm sorry about starting the arguement. I merely thought you should know what I am."[/b] Raven appologised.[/style] tags:Umbra word count: Undefined muse: Televison notes: None. it's always do this, do that * everything they want to * Michael thought for a moment, it would be easier for them to teleport but at the same time it wouldn’t work out so well with arriving at the same time. The shadow world was fickle; he could be in there for what felt like seconds and be there for two or three hours and visa versa.
“It would probably be best if we did it over the rooftops. I wouldn’t know when I would arrive and don’t want you getting all the fun.” He wished she could see his smile, but again it was covered, his mask covering the face he knew and showing her the one she was probably more comfortable with. With all that had happened that night Michael was starting to realize that it might be possible that Raven enjoyed the company of Umbra more than him. Was it because Umbra had no emotions to show? He was surrounded by darkness, with a face of non-emotional contact? Yet behind it was a human being, someone who not only had emotion but whose actions were driven by such. If this was the reasoning he decided that he would do all that he could to make her more comfortable.
"I'm sorry about starting the argument. I merely thought you should know what I am." Michael tilted his head. Could she read minds to? That was a scary thought.
“Don’t be, you are whom you are. No matter what others think, though I still believe you haven’t tappd into yourself fully due to what you have been taught before.”

Raven was trying to look past what had happened while in her soul and simply go back to the time when Umbra did not know about her demonic side. The conversation had been fine then and if the rest was forgotten or put aside; it would be for the best. “It would probably be best if we did it over the rooftops. I wouldn’t know when I would arrive and don’t want you getting all the fun.”
Making no comment, Raven rose several feet in the air, intending to fly. There were many different ways she could travel although it would have been easier if she simply teleported them both. "Then I suggest you follow me." |
[/b] Raven commented, moving a little higher so she could find a safe route to fly above. Locating the source of the nearest negative emotion, Raven's gaze went over the city before finding a way to the small and dark side street from which the emotions were radiating from. They were increasing, the teenager noted. There presence would probably be needed soon. “Don’t be, you are whom you are. No matter what others think, though I still believe you haven’t tappd into yourself fully due to what you have been taught before.”Raven was silent and looked down at her feet. As far as she was aware, when she tapped into her true self she went demonic. But this was not something that she decided to share. The conversation would move on. "This way. A scene is having an increase of negative emotions and if we delay it may be too late."[/b] Raven commented, starting to fly in the direction, keeping low enough that she could be seen against the night sky and so she could make sure that Umbra was not struggling with the route that she had found. Arriving, the teenager lowered herself onto the roof, cloak fluttering around to encase her as she stared down. Usually, Raven was used to leaping straight in with the Teen Titans but they were not here. Instead she would wait for Umbra to catch up with her. Indigo eyes flickered across the darkness, following the emotional signatures that she felt with perfect clarity. There were five beings down there, one which was terrified. The others were threatening, feeling confident with themselves. It was difficult to tell what was the cause was but things had not come to blows, yet.[/style] tags:Umbra word count: Undefined muse: It's My Life notes: Sorry for the delay, school and social life got too much. it's always do this, do that * everything they want to * Michael nodded and watched as Raven lifted from the roof and started flying over different roofs toward an altercation she could only detect at the moment. His eyes then moved towards the path he would fallow. There were many drops between him and they’re destination, some large then others….which meant only one thing. He smiled behind the mask and began to run for the first lip of the roof he was on, his speed increased has he moved until an on looker would think he was about to launch himself off. Yet at the last second Michael pulled al the shadows that surrounded him into him and he was dragged into the shadow realm, only to reappear on the next roof from the shadow of a vent. This kept up until he saw Ravens for sitting at an edge, looking over the lip of the roof. He moved next to her and looked down into the dark abyss that would soon become a fighting ground.
“What can you sense?” Michaels whispered words were now the masked words of Umbra. The time that they had been vulnerable had passed. This was business as usual now. He tried his hardest to pick up any kind of sound from the ally over the sound of cars on the street a little ways away. What he could hear disturbed him, laughs, a female whimper and a screetch. A disturbing picture seemed to appear in his mind and before he knew it Michael had pulled back from the edge of the lip and began moving towards a shadows vent.
“Not a chance in hell.”

So she knew when Umbra had arrived next to her without even looking up. Judging the situation from here was not too easy but it was getting hostile and quickly. “What can you sense?” "There is fear, strong and coming from one person. The other four are feeling confident. I believe they are the ones we must face." |
[/b] The teenager replied, almost watching as the four emotions drew closer to the one terrified point of light. “Not a chance in hell.” Raven looked over to Umbra who was moving, taking action. Raven herself was still hazy about the situation but it appeared that Umbra was going to get into the conflict soon. "I'll draw the attention, then?"[/b] Raven suggested, lifting herself into the air and flying a few feet into the air. It would be easy enough to fly into the emotions, causing a disturbance. "Unless you'd rather approach this another way?"[/b] Raven asked, she was seeing how good Umbra was after all. It was worth giving him the options and seeing how he played them. Besides, Raven was never used to being the one in control. She went along with what the team needed her to do.[/style] tags:Umbra word count: Undefined muse: It's My Life notes: None

Michael hadn't heard all Raven had to say because he was already moving into the shadows, its tentacles reaching out and pulling him deeper in. That ally was dark, and the darkness was his territory. When he had moved fully inside the shadow realm Michael felt himself drop until he seemed to float and land directly into the hellish scene inside his head. The girls clothes were ripped around her chest, her hair a mess and her pants torn. The look of utter terror distorted her once pretty features. The men around her hadn't noticed the cloaked figure behind them yet. Instead they spoke words of lust, preparing to do unspeakable things to the young woman.
Michael's mind was on fire with fury and before he knew it words slipped from his lips.
"Father forgive me for the ending of life by my hands. Please also give me the strength to do so." The men turned to him in confusion, they're faces going from confident, to confused. Michael didn't give them the chance to feel terror, instead in one movement he pulled three throwing knives and launched them at the men.
"Your villainy is only surpassed by your disgusting thoughts. Your death is well deserved." Three bodies dropped before the final one recognized what had come and terror materialized on his face. He tried to run, the fool, but before he took one step Michael materialized on the other side of him the sword on his belt now in his hand.
"justice is served." And with that Umbra drove the sword threw the mans stomach and into his chest cavity.

Before she could act, he had gone, his emotion appearing amongst those in the fray. Then emotions changed rapidly to confusion and Raven teleported in, landing in front of the victim. It was at this point that she was too late. Three of the emotions flickered before her before disappearing for good. The whole situation was dreadful. "Calm." |
[/b] Raven told the cowering girl, placing a hand on her shoulder. The emotions swirled around Raven as she took away the panic. It had been to late to save the fourth person. Even has she had arrived Raven had felt the emotions slip. There was only the three of them now. The Titan closed her eyes, it was difficult feeling emotions suddenly disappear. It was something she prayed she would never do. Taking in a shaky breath, the teenager tried to control the feelings inside her and the extra feelings she had absorbed. If only she could influence the girl to sleep; she looked like she needed it.This was difficult for Raven. The teenager felt strongly about the situation the girl had been in. Raven's mother had been in a similar situation, being offered up as a bride to the devil and having Trigon pretend to be a perfect man. The teenager shuddered. In her opinion the girl had been put in the worst situation ever. But that didn't sanction killing. Standing up straight, indigo eyes fell onto the shape of Umbra as Raven considered how to speak to him after this. "You shouldn't have killed them. It may not be as bad as the crime they intended to commit but death is no justice. Some of them will have gone to their deaths without realising their crimes."[/b] Raven said, her voice emotionless as she looked at the masked figure.[/style] tags:Umbra word count: Undefined muse: Loreena McKennitt notes: None

it's always do this, do that * everything they want to * Michael turned at Ravens words. His eyes gazing from her to the corpses that now littered the ground around him. He felt a piece of him freaking out, terrified at the idea he had ended life. He had done something that he had always known to be wrong, yet before the emotion could flood his very being his eyes rested on the poor girl that they had saved. She seemed to be in some kind of calming trance enduesed by Raven. Either way though, the face she had had a moment ago still flashed before his eyes. The terror that had seemed to lose all hope. The emotion that would have been traced through her life after what was coming.
“They knew what they were doing. They’re sins were already traced in their minds. Look at her clothes, they were already working on her when she fell.” His eyes were full of hate for the men who had been willing to do such an evil act to the girl. It didn’t matter her past. She could have been a whore, the easy girl at school, or even just some pretty thing that had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. No matter what, something like this shouldn’t happen. Umbra walked over to the girl and looked her over before pulling his cape from his back, wrapping her in it and helping her up.
“I’m going to take her to the hospital, want me to meet you somewhere?”

Pride was something she knew better than she would care to admit. He was actually freaked out by his actions but the Titan was not moved to feel sorry for him. Instead she kept her icy demeanour as she watched him. “They knew what they were doing. They’re sins were already traced in their minds. Look at her clothes, they were already working on her when she fell.” "Yet they will never fully understand their crimes. They can never repent for their sins. Even as their emotions faded they felt no concern but fear for their own lives. It was not justice." |
[/b] Raven said, turning away from Umbra to regard the bodies. This was a terrible situation. Intervening was the important thing and protecting the girl even more. But Raven had felt the dying emotions of the men and it was not pleasant. None of the emotions would have been pleasant to feel. All the teenager had wanted to do was avoid both. Then there was the hate in Umbra, which was dreadful to be around; he hated the now dead men and the emotions would do no good. "This situation may affect you deeply but I doubt you have as much reason to hate this situation as I. But I would not have killed these men and I do not feel hate like you do."[/b] Raven commented as she moved away from the bodies. Raven was silent as Umbra put his cape around the girl, the Titan choosing to stare out and into the darkness. Contemplation was something that she knew well. “I’m going to take her to the hospital, want me to meet you somewhere?” Turning, indigo eyes fell upon the two humans. "I can take us all to hospital, it won't be a problem."[/b] The Titan said, walking over to the two. She did not intend to let either leave her attention until the problems had been fully dealt with. it's always do this, do that * everything they want to * Raven was not happy with him at all, but in all honesty he didn’t care. The girl was safe and that’s what mattered to him at the moment. His eyes bore into her emotionless ones before he nodded.
“Fine, take us Raven. Realize though, nothing you say is going to change my mind. This girl didn’t deserve what happened to her and I will NOT let anyone else end up in the same kind of agony. Gangs of people who do such horrible things need to be whipped from existence. Sometimes the judges and they’re courts not only let the guilty go free but they then arrest the guiltless and the victims. These kind of attacks happen all the time, and because of this I refused to allow them to have a chance to escape they’re fate.” Some would say these were the ravings of a mad man, yet he knew of many heroes who lived by the same code. If there was any way that the criminal would get away from the punishment of their crime then it needed to be presented to them directly. This girl could have been dead by the time they were done, and if she was then they’re fate had been met without any need to be dragged out.

Umbra had not felt the emotions as they ebbed away. He would not have felt the girl's emotions if they had not intervened. “Fine, take us Raven. Realize though, nothing you say is going to change my mind. This girl didn’t deserve what happened to her and I will NOT let anyone else end up in the same kind of agony. Gangs of people who do such horrible things need to be whipped from existence. The half demon looked at Umbra, her eyes as empty and devoid of emotions as the icy desert of the South Pole. "Maybe I should not be the judge of this. I may be biased, after all, I did feel their emotions as they died and I have felt all the girl's emotions as well." |
[/b] She said icily as she teleported. Beast Boy had once called her the Ice Queen and it was true that Raven could be very cold without emotions. Besides, if they went by Umbra's philosophy then she should be killed. No second chances. Kill the evil. In a poof of purple, the three had arrived at hospital. As a Teen Titan, Raven was known enough and explaining the situation was easy enough. The girl was taken away to a ward. Hospitals were dreadful places to be in for an empath and this was the second time in a night. "If you kill all who have done wrong, then I should be dead.[/b] Raven told Umbra, turning to look at the masked man. "I have killed innocents, I have committed wrongs. By Azar, I even am a sin! But even when I am lost to my heritage my friends try to get me back. I have had more than my fair share of second chances. Those men never will."[/b] The teenager sighed and stared out the window. "There is still more crime happening. I can feel it. It will never rest, even with death. One day you will meet someone you cannot kill,"[/b] The teenager said, with a sigh. "She'll begin to feel emotions in about half an hour. The hospital will most likely have treated her and called her parents and the police. It is likely that she will remember that you killed them and it will be a mark in your files. Although it may reflect on me. If you are still willing, we can continue but I will not stand for more death."[/style] tags:Umbra word count: ??? muse: Krawling notes: Nada! Michael heard her words. What stung was that her words seemed to resonate from the deepest part of his soul. Even being an alien and living in the ways of another God, he could hear the words of the bible resonate in Ravens words. He had felt so sure and right by his actions, so empowered...yet had he just played the part of not only the Creator but also His right hand? Was that what Umbra would be? He wanted to protect and serve. Killing without giving a chance was not that at all.
Michaels masked eyes reached to Ravens cold ones. Those cold, calculating, knowing eyes. How was it that someone who claimed to have no emotion have such strong and caring resolve. She wasn't all she saw herself as....that was for sure, yet she was still right.
Michael sighed, looking away and shaking his head.
"You are right and wise, both i know all to well." With a flick of his wrist a Shadow opened. "I need time to think....I need to figure out who I am and who I wish to become. Thank you for tonight, it helped me alot." And with that Michael abruptly moved towards the portal and slipped through. Only to appear at his apartment where he ripped his mask off and fell to his knees in sobs and prayers to plead for forgiveness because of the life's Michael Mullenix had taken.
