Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Failure. The simple seven letter word rang like an ominous bell in Wonder Woman’s tortured heart. The one person that was supposed to be steady like a rock felt her soul draining to nothingness. Her public façade was stalwart and secure, even after the Gods attacked. After all, the public needed a designated figure they could grapple onto for hope. Wonder Woman was glad to be that dignitary, as difficult as it was for her in her current state of mind. What happened to Thaal and Raven was unforgivable. She beat herself up about it on a daily basis. It was something that generally, Diana could brush off with conviction. Not this time though. The event with Medusa was something that could have been preventable, if Wonder Woman had just pressed further and looked into the hidden meanings presented to her. Instead, she fought an uphill battle against prepared mythical opponents that had caused great harm to Sinestro and Raven. She should have been the one that had fallen that day—not them. Their only crime was that they happened upon the horrendous fight and interfered for the good of mutant kind. Wonder Woman was angry that she couldn’t have done more… If only she had gotten between the snakes and Thaal then perhaps she could’ve… Her fleeting thoughts dispersed into her mind as she maneuvered up to Kal’s door. She was dressed modestly in a blue sweater, skinny jeans, and comfortable boots. Wonder Woman wore her unneeded reading glasses to blend in with civilians; she wanted no attention today. Regardless, it was quite difficult NOT standing out when you were easily six foot tall. A breath in and a breath out were all it took for Diana to regain some much needed composure. She brushed a strand of her famous locks of hair behind her ear and knocked on “Clark Kent’s” door. Sighing, she crossed her arms and stared at the floor. There were approximately two people Diana trusted more than life itself. Her mother, Queen Hippolyta, was her constant in her life, whenever something was wrong she could certainly share a moment with her mother that had crafted her from clay. The other was Superman, Clark Kent, Kal… Whatever his name was, he was her steadfast hero’s hero. And didn’t every heroine need a hero? They had been through it all. More than even the closest of superhero compadres. It was an eternal bond of friendship that had been sewn from years and years of hard work, patience, and camaraderie. Each had saved each other’s asses more than they’d actually like to admit and that was something. Besides that, their powers and personalities were the closest out of anyone in the Justice League. It was sometimes hard for old Superman and Wonder Woman to relate to the masses when possessed by shocking ability to move a planet’s gravitational field! Therefore, they kept a quiet solace with one another, as each knew each other better than the other. That was what brought Princess Diana “Prince” of Themyscira to Kal’s doorstep. It was the hope and feeling that Clark would most certainly help her with her latent troubles.

It was all over the news, every channel in every city in the world was watching the fight that took place between mythical creatures and some of the worlds finest, but the question on many peoples minds was where was Superman? That was a question Clark was sitting there asking himself as he watched the news.
"Why didn't I go help?"
A question of questions for the man of steel, in fact why hasn't he been out there as much as he usually was? He had been spending more and more time out of costume and thus being less of a hero. A dissapointment to many to say the least. There was no excuse for his absence from the world, not now, during one of it's most critical of times. He stood by and did nothing while so many suffered and died.
He turned off the tv and got up from the couch to go take a long shower to reflect on his poor choices. If Pa were alive he would probly be disappointed in him the most but would probably give him a pep talk about never sitting on the sidelines if he had the power to do good. Clark stood in the shower and let the hot water pour down on him while he wondered what his problem was. Perhaps at the end of the day, since this whole world merging thing has happened, he's forgotten what he's fighting for. Or maybe he is harboring some primitive feelings of inferiority now because he's no longer the golden boy of heroes, that he has more equals now than before. Selfish thoughts for sure and he wouldn't even consider them as being true on his own, no that was something that people like Bruce, Diana, and Ma would call him out on.
He looked up when he heard a knock at the door, he turned off the water and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around himself before walking out and answering the door. He opened the door and was surprised to see Diana standing there, and then quickly blushed and looked away when he remembered he was standing there in just a towel and dripping wet.
"Diana please come in, I was just in the middle of a shower, excuse me."
He dashed off in the blink of an eye and after four seconds he returned after finishing his shower and getting dried and dressed. He escorted Diana into his living room and to the couch. After she sat down he took a seat next to her and put a hand on her shoulder. He could tell from the look in her eyes how she was feeling right now and knew why she was here.
"I know how you're feeling right now, and I know I don't have the right to give you a pep talk seeing as I never even came to help, or done much helping at all lately. Losing for us is a difficult thing, to experience the loss of friends and allies is one of the hardest things we'll ever have to deal with. But that's part of what makes us who we are, it gives us purpose and meaning behind every decision we make. It's why you and I try as hard as we do sometimes, and it's why we fall as hard as we do when we mess up. But Pa would tell us that that's why we need to pick ourselves back up, make ourselves better, so that it doesn't happen again." he stopped his speech and looked off for a moment. Everything he just told her is what Pa would have told him right now, his words rang true and his wisdom carried over into Clark and was just what he needed to hear right now to reinspire himself. He pulled his hand from her shoulder and softly grabbed her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Let me go make us some tea, you look like you could use some, and a vacation, and maybe a quiet dinner for two."
Did Clark Kent just flirt? She could decide for herself. Clark let go of her hand and got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen and put a pot of water on the stove and turned it on. Heat vision didn't do tea justice, it was nothing like doing it the old fashioned way.

When Kal appeared at the door with nothing but a towel on, Diana thought she might have accidentally knocked on the door of a Chippendale’s dancer or perhaps accidentally ended up on an awkward sitcom. He quickly told her to come in while he readied himself. Though Wonder Woman was a figure born of clay and a mother’s love, even she could experience the human female emotion of attraction. She had been in love with many, her biggest being Steve Trevor. But this raw emotion of seeing Superman half-nude made her sad thoughts momentarily dissipate.
When he came back, he was more appropriately dressed for Diana to get her head in the right spot. She sat by him on the couch. For once in her life, Diana felt comfortable. Who knew this emotion could only be achieved by the Superman? She exhaled as he started going through the motion of giving advice. Though Diana was worried as to why he didn’t show up on the scene of the mutant massacre, Kal deftly evaded the subject by his calming words.
There was a million different things she wanted to say to him, but none of them would get to the point. She could easily blame him for not being there to back her up, or any of the other Justice League for not being there in her time of need. Diana could blame her mother for not being able to tempt the Fates and garner further information to prevent the attack. But none of this mattered. It all came back to her, herself, Wonder Woman… and her inability to prevent and stop the attack.
No worse feeling in the world compared to feeling like a failure. She felt like she had single handedly destroyed and disrupted Sinestro and Raven. Who knew how that event would further impact their lives for the worse? And it was all her fault. Nobody else could be blamed for the atrocities faced in New York that day. The blood of innocents would forever stain Wonder Woman’s garment.
Diana tossed her hair behind her back and stared at the floor with her stark blue eyes. He mentioned that she looked like she needed a vacation.
“A vacation, huh? That’s one interesting way of telling a girl she looks bad. I guess I’ll forgive that with the dinner part,” Diana let down her guard and flirted back.
Though her soul was largely filled with pensive feelings, she brushed it aside for the sake of the flirt. Clearly, Kal was dead set on taking her mind off her errant troubles. Honestly, Wonder Woman DID need a vacation. The mantle, itself, needed a rest. She would be desperately happy if Donna Troy or Cassie Sandsmark approached her today and asked her to temporarily retire. But the fact remained that being Wonder Woman was a difficult job. Not just anybody was equipped to do that job, either.
Diana crossed her arms over her chest and looked to the kitchen area.
“What is it with you lately? Where have you been? You know how reporters are. It’s only a matter of time before people start saying you hung up the Superman name to pursue other interests. Your fan club will turn to a hate club,” Diana spoke.

“A vacation, huh? That’s one interesting way of telling a girl she looks bad. I guess I’ll forgive that with the dinner part.”
"Well you have an interesting way of putting me in a position to make it up to you. So since you're already here we will have dinner, what are you in the mood for?"
After a few minutes the tea kettle started to whistle and Clark lifted it from the stove and turned it off before pouring two cups of herbal grey tea for him and Diana and made his way back to the living room.
“What is it with you lately? Where have you been? You know how reporters are. It’s only a matter of time before people start saying you hung up the Superman name to pursue other interests. Your fan club will turn to a hate club.”
Clark walked up to the couch and held out her mug for her while he took a seat next to her again. He took a sip from his tea and she would be able to tell that the expression on his face changed to a stressed out look akin to the way he has looked lately.
"To be honest I have been avoiding my duties as Superman to avoid my clone and cousin. I am not ready to suddenly be placed with these two in my lives. I don't know how to handle it, how to handle them, so I avoid them by not being Superman as often as I need to be. Right now it would be a true statement that Bruce is a better father than I am. I know what I'm doing is selfish, I know what I should be doing, but I just can't bring myself to do it."
Clark just sounded like a very horrible person, there was no other way of putting it. He didn't want to honestly know what Diana thought of him right now but he knew he needed to hear it and if there was anyone that would tell it to him straight and tell him what he needed to hear it would be her.
