Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Kara waited for Sinestro, he was running late and she was starting to worry. Today was Kara’s first day shopping . Clark had gave her his Credit card and told her to get some clothes. Kara had asked Sinestro to go with her so she would have someone who knew more about the human ways then she did. Kara waited for her friend to show up. Kara wore what she wore when she wasn’t fighting crime, short denim jean shorts with a small tank top that showed her belly and her red leather jacket with her red boots.
Kara watched how all the people just walked around smiling and laughing at things Kara didn’t understand. One thing Kara dint understand was what Michael had called a dress. She was totally stumped by this word and had asked Sinestro to explain it and he told her it was clothes. Kara’s mind began to wonder to the first time she met Sinestro and how he didn’t like hugs, but now that he’s been around Kara she was sure he was getting use to the hugging and that made Kara very happy. Kara began looking for Sinestro and left the place they were destined to meet.
Kara saw Sinestro and hugged him “I thought you forgot.” Kara looked up at him and smiled. Kara thought of Sinestro more of a father figure then anything and she liked it that way, of course their was Clark but Clark would always be her cousin and Sinestro reminded her of her own father.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro hadn’t intended on being late for his meeting with Kara, but he also hadn’t intended in finding a bank robbery in progress while he had been flying to the shops to meet up with her. Of course, by nature, he had been obligated to stop and put an end to the disturbance, if only because the league would have gotten on his ass if he hadn’t put in some kind of effort towards putting an end to the trouble. It annoyed him that he had to think of their reactions to what he did and didn’t do, but there was a part of him that wanted to make some kind of good impression with them. A small part of him. And not really them, so much as Diana. If she didn’t loathe him, then he imagined he was doing at least something right, given how noble and good-hearted she seemed to be.
So it was alright for him to be just a little late: he had stopped to do something important. Anyway, he didn’t know why he was going in the first place. He wasn’t particularly good at shopping and he wasn’t sure he was going to be able to help Kara figure things out anyway. Still, she had asked for his help and there was something in her childlike innocence that disallowed him from saying no to her.
She was something of a daughter to him- like he really needed another one of those. The one he had was a big enough pain in the ass already.
Still, there was nothing he could do about it. The want to help her had already implanted itself in his brain, and he couldn’t just ignore it until it went away. He wasn’t that man any more, as unfortunate as it was now appearing to him.
Sighing lowly, he finally landed beside the lady, offering her a slight smile as she moved in and gave him her obligatory hug. While anyone else might have gotten smacked in the face for such actions, he didn’t tell her off for it, having already given up on thinking it would do him any good. She liked to hug, and his dislike wouldn’t stop her. That didn’t mean, however, that he would hug her back, the man waiting for her to let go with little movement in the meantime.
Once she had finished, he nodded. “Apologies- I got caught up in some other business. But I’m here now, so why don’t we get started? I’m afraid I don’t know much about shopping, but I’ll do what I can to help you find a dress your Michael might like.”
Weirdest mission ever.

Kara pulled away from the hug she gave him and looked at him “it’s ok Sin stuff happens, I’m just glad you’re ok. And I can’t wait to see what all these shops have.” Kara smiled and began walking “where should we start” Kara saw a nice shop with all types of dresses and dress clothes. “How about this one?” Kara looked up at Sinestro. Kara was happy she considered Sinestro family and being that he was here with her made her feel loved. She wanted nothing more than a nice family and friends. Kara looked back at the shop and walked in. the place was full of clothes and people who slowly began to leave and come in as they pleased. Kara felt very girly in the store. There was making up that she didn’t even know and dresses of all colors and shirts of all kinds and pants for everyone. Kara was excited she hadn’t noticed she began to float. Floating would have been ok if she wasn’t inside a store of humans who didn’t really approve of super human’s using powers inside of buildings. Kars smiled and began to float towards the makeup “sin what’s this? Why is it so colorful and mushy?” Kara looked at Sinestro holding eye liner and eye shadow. She was still floating and getting all kinds of stairs. Most stairs where of disrespect but Kara didn’t understand why they were staring at her. She just kept going on with what she was doing and waited for Sinestro’s help on the unfamiliar make up.

It wasn’t like his skin tone was entirely natural. He was an almost seven foot tall alien with magenta skin and pointy ears, not to mention the fact that he liked to float around everywhere rather than walk. It was better on his wounded leg than moving around with a cane. Still, he was getting enough stares, so perhaps he didn’t need to be making things worse for the both of them. So he landed on the floor, creating a construct cane to walk on so he at least moved around like a human being. The skin color and height, however, he could do nothing about.
Still, Kara didn’t seem to mind him being a sore thumb. Actually, she didn’t seem to notice at all. She was having far too much fun looking at the clothing in the shop. It was almost nice to see- most of the young ladies he had met on earth were grumpy, gloomy types who didn’t have much enthusiasm. She was entirely different from them.
It was refreshing.
Oh, she was floating too. “Um, Kara? I think it might be wise for you to suppress your powers when we are in public, lest these unknowing humans think we’re here to try and rob the place or something.” He didn’t speak harshly, though there was always a natural edge to his tone.
“That’s make up,” Sinestro remarked, “it’s not for men to use, really, so I’m afraid I don’t know much about it. I think the humans would be able to help, but unfortunately they might be a little scared of us now.”

Kara landed on her feet, and thought for a minute. “This looked too complicated to understand” Kara looked at Sinestro she had never seen him walk she smiled at him “thank you for coming with me today.” Kara noticed what the humans called manikins these ones were faceless and kind of creped Kara out. “Why do those humans not have faces and why aren’t they moving?” she looked at the nonmoving female manikins and moved closer to Sinestro. She was scared because she didn’t know if they were watching her or not. Kara was really paranoid when it came to being watched by anything she couldn’t control, the humans in the store that watched her she didn’t mind because she knew why they were staring at her. But when she thought something out of her power was watching her it just freaked her out. “Is it watching us?” Kara’s voice was scared for the first time sinestro had been around her. Normally Kara wasn’t afraid of anything but this one item just freaked her out.
She watched the object with an intense stair and stood close by sinestro, Kara knew that if it was watching them as long as she was close to sinestro It wouldn’t be able to see her. Kara wondered why she was feeling scared when she knew they couldn’t kill her unless they had kryptonite or red solar radiation. Kara looked at sinestro and waited for his reply on the strange objects that scared Kara Kent.

While the humans were giving them the stink eye and looked about ready to phone the police, she was completely captivated by something else entirely. It must have been nice, living in her world. Everything probably looked like puppets and set pieces. “I believe those are called mannequins,” he informed her easily enough, “they aren’t alive- they’re just there to show off the clothes the store sells. I don’t think you need to be too concerned about them.”
Her innocent nature seemed to be warming the hearts of the shop patrons and workers, as they were starting to look a little like they were realizing the pair weren’t going to be any kind of a threat to them. A couple were even smiling, amused by the way the young girl seemed to fear the mannequins.
Sinestro gave her a pat on the head, trying to comfort her a little without really knowing what to do. Normally, he encouraged fear. This whole ‘having to stop it’ thing was a real head scratcher for him most of the time. It had been a long time since he had worked for the other side of the fence, and he was probably quite rusty. “There’s nothing to fear,” he assured her lowly, “it isn’t alive, and nor is it watching us.”
He took a moment to point to one of the racks of clothing, at a nice dress displayed in front. “You wanted to look at dresses, right? That’s one of them there. It seems quite nice. I’m not… really sure what your style is.” He imagined he just needed to let her see what a dress actually was before she could go ahead and find one that suited her. And maybe the distraction would take her mind off the mannequins.

Kara smiled and walked over to the dresses. She began to touch them, taking in the feel of the fabric and the ways the designs moved along the fabric and how the colors always blended. She pulled out a dress that would fit her; it was a strapless dress with an orange top with orange fabric and yellow, orange, pink and clear jewels. A nice dark orange sash with a light orange light pink flower on the side wrapped around the side, the light fabrics of orange and pink blossomed out from the bottom and came down to the knees. Kara looked at Sinestro. “How does this one look? Its orange and pink.” Kara smiled and felt the fabric on the bottom and how soft it was. She smiled and looked at the people around her looking at them. Kara smiled her cute friendly smile and looked back at Sinestro. She thought about how the dress would look on her and she lit up to think about it. Kara took in the colors around her and felt very happy about the whole idea of shopping. Kara noticed that one of the workers was walking over to do something. The worker was staring straight at her and it made Kara worried, what if they were coming by to kick them out or yell at them. The worker was tall and had a slender body with long brown hair and dark brown eyes. “Do you guys need any help with anything?” the workers voice was calm and Kara realized that they weren’t going to harm them. www.mtdress.com/images/v/prom-under-200/riva-short-strapless-babydoll-prom-dress-1.jpg

He watched her investigate it thoroughly, pleased by the way she seemed to take great effort in her observations. It was nice to see her enjoying something, he supposed, though he couldn’t imagine why he cared so much about the feelings of someone else. And not even feelings directed towards him- he just wanted her to be happy. Like a father looking to see their child happy.
“That one is nice,” he said when she asked about it, “though I must admit: I don’t know a lot about dresses, either.” More than make up, perhaps, but it still wasn’t anything he had experienced for himself. He just knew he had always liked it when his wife had dressed up for him. The dresses she had worn for him had always made him smile.
Beyond that, he was clueless.
Sinestro was actually a little surprised that someone had come over to help them, but he supposed enough time had passed that it would seem inviting to come over and speak to them- they had proven they weren’t there to cause trouble. While some seemed a little hesitant, still, to be around the red alien, they seemed to consider Kara much more… human. Thus, she was clearly easier to speak to. Sinestro nodded at the associate’s question. “It might be a good idea for her to try this dress on,” he informed the woman indifferently, “but she might need a bit of help. She’s fairly new to the planet, and doesn’t know how everything works.”
“Oh, the associate hummed, a little nervous as she looked from the tall man to Kara, “well, I can show you how to use the dressing room, if you want to try it on.” She smiled warmly, clearly at least somewhat pleased to be able to help aliens.

Kara left with the worker to the changing booth and she helped Kara out. Kara smiled at herself in the mirror she loved how the top held her up and how the bottom didn’t cover up her nice legs. She opened the door and walked out. She walked over to Sinestro. “How do I look?” Kara asked with the intent on buying the dress. Kara spun around and smiled. Kara was happy and for a time in her life she felt like a normal human girl with a loving father and a boyfriend she wanted to impress with a lifetime to have a perfect life. Kara was caught up in her happiness and the words flowed from her lips “dad should I get this one?”
Kara’s eyes widened as she realized what she had just said. Kara looked down at Sinestro shoes scared he was going to be mad at her. Kara never had her birth father there to do things with her and the word just kind of slipped from her mouth. She waited for Sinestro to get really mad and yell at her. She was scared he was going to leave her there and never speak to her again. Kara knew that’s not what Sinestro would do but Kara always figured the worst in things.
“So you guys are family” the lady probably just made things worse and Kara felt even more scared that Sinestro would leave. “If more fathers and daughters had a relationship like your guys relations then everyone’s family would be perfect”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro was about to answer her question when he was struck by the next thing she had to say, left almost completely speechless for a moment. He hadn’t been killed ‘dad’ in a long time. Not without there being some kind of snarky undertone to it. Maybe he had been called daddy after he had been caught in an explosion that had nearly killed him, but honestly he could barely remember what had happened after he had been sent flying by the blast. His daughter was not one to use that word when describing him, despite their blood relationship. She had another father that she considered her one and true dad, and it wasn’t Thaal Sinestro. It was something he was just going to have to live with, even if it burned him a little every time he thought about it.
This, however, was something else entirely. He was suddenly the other dad- the one who wasn’t related, but still in the picture. Her parents were dead. She probably needed a father-figure in her life. Was it just because she had got caught up in the moment? Was she upset that she had blurted it out like that? The last thing he wanted to do was have her be embarrassed.
Even if he had found it sweet.
Sinestro looked at the shop worker when she spoke, and seemed to come back to his senses. He offered her a faint smile, before looking at Kara. “I don’t know about perfect, at least where I’m concerned,” he chuckled lightly, “but Kara is about the best daughter anyone could want.” He watched the girl, patting her head lightly before letting his smile widen somewhat. It was really a nice moment for him, who had already ruined his relationship with one daughter, to find someone who didn’t absolutely loathe him.
“And I think that dress looks wonderful on you, Kara, Michael would really like it.” It was a very rare thing to have happen, but Sinestro was in quite a good mood all of a sudden.

Kara smiled and looked at Sinestro. Did that mean that he didn’t mind being her father figure? Kara wanted to hug him so badly but knew that he didn’t like hugs in public. Kara went back to the changing room with the biggest smiles on her face. She changed back in to her street clothes and put the dress nicely back on the hanger and walked out and back to Sinestro who was making conversation with the helper lady. Kara took her gaze to some beautiful looking bottles and went over to them; she lightly smelled the perfume bottles and smiled. She thought about quake and how she liked shopping. Kara thought about getting quake a gift. She picked up 3 different smelling perfumes and went over to Sinestro. “Um dad will you help me pick out a smell for quake? I want to get her a present.”
Kara smiled as she used the word dad and she felt like she had a family, she felt loved. One thing Kara loved to do was give presents, ever since Michael got her presents Kara wanted to share the feeling of presents with everyone. She was getting Michael something and she was going to get both Sinestro and quake something but she was unsure what to get. So she thought that quake would like these smelling liquid bottles. Kara looked at the fist bottle that was called love struck. It was a purple bottle with fancy black words on it; the smell was that of fruit and Kara loved the smell. The second bottle was a pink bottle that said fireworks, the smell was not as good as the first to Kara but it smelled like flowers. The last bottle was a blue color with a Champaign and strawberry smell. Kara handed the bottles to Sinestro. “pick the one she would like the best and we will get it for her.”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] Sinestro stopped chatting with the associate when Kara joined them again, carrying some perfume with her. Fortunately, it was something he actually knew a little about, as his own home world had its own version of perfume. The females on his planet had enjoyed the fragrances as well, as well as his wife from another world, Arin. She had always been pleased when he brought her something from one of their planets, usually more pleased when it had come from her old home. Perfumes seemed a universal like for the ladies of the world. Who knew? When she presented him with some options, he looked down at the bottles, tilting his head slightly to one side.
“That seems like a good idea,” he told her lightly, “I think she would like a present.” Actually, he didn’t know much about the woman, but he supposed anyone would like to get a gift. Even rude, feisty females who had gotten in the way during an attack by some mutants.
But he was digressing.
He sniffed the bottles slightly, taking in each scent to at least give the illusion that he cared a little bit about which bottle they were going to get the woman. If Kara liked her, she probably had a reason for it. Sinestro wasn’t going to get in the way of her good day. So far, it looked like she was really enjoying herself. It seemed to be making the people in the shop happy, too, just from watching her. Probably just in her nature to make those around her happy as well. Had he been tricked into it, too, or was he there because he knew more about her than they could possibly know?
“I think I like the third one the best,” he said, considering strawberries was more or less the only scent he’d taken in before while on earth. The rest were all a bit strange to him, because they were unfamiliar.
“Which one do you like the best? You can get her whatever one you want.”

Kara picked out the perfume that Sinestro liked and put the rest back. She bought the dress and the perfume and walked back to Sinestro. “Where shall we go next dad?” the blonde looked up at the man who stood in front of her. She was still afraid of the manikins but let that slip past her mind so that she could have fun with Sinestro. Kara walked out of the store with Sinestro to look around the place she was unfamiliar with. “Are you hungry? We could eat candy?” Kara knew that candy wasn’t good to eat as a food but she thought that maybe she could trick Sinestro in to eating candy with her. Kara had a thing for sweets and it was one of her hidden secrets.
The alien girl looked at Sinestro with want for candy in her eyes. She smiled and waited for him to think it over. She was hoping he would say sure let’s get candy. The sun was high in the sky and Kara’s stomach was making the noises she found funny, Kara let out a giggle and smiled. “I’m hungry.” Kara looked at Sinestro with her wide baby blue eyes. “After we get something to eat can we get something for Michael? And then something for you.” Kara loved giving people things. She knew that Sinestro was going to tell her something that she didn’t need to get him anything but she was going to because she loved her father and wanted to get him something to show him how much she adores him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x126/Gotta_love_gits/Sinestro/random%20images/bluemiddle.png] “If you’re hungry, we should have something proper to eat,” advised the Green Lantern, “but we could pick up some candy as a treat for later, if you would like to.” He didn’t mind if she wanted to have something nice, but he did want to make sure healthy was also something on the menu. Or at least healthier than candy. Sinestro imagined humans didn’t have a lot of truly healthy foods, especially in a place such as this. It would all be burger and pizza stands. Still it didn’t matter, as long as they got some food in them. He was feeling a little hungry himself, now that he had a moment to think about it.
“Let’s go to that area,” he said, pointing towards a food court, “it looks like it has places where you can buy food. After that, we’ll pick up some candy and a gift for your Michael.” He didn’t know if he would be able to help with that one, but if she wanted to get the kid something, he wasn’t going to say no.
Not when she looked at him like that.
She also seemed to want to get something for him, which made him frown. “I don’t think you need to get anything for me,” he told her, “though I do need to look for a suit for something I want to attend a little later on.” He had at least a little human money, and he knew plenty of places where he could get more. Past trips to the planet, working with the bad guys for their stupid goals, had left him with money stashed all over the place. Stuff that had been stolen and probably, for moral reasons, needed to be returned. But he wasn’t one to care about what humans considered the moral choice. It seemed far too late to worry about returning the money now. Anyway, he didn’t know how many millions went to what place, so how could he possibly put it back, anyway?
He took hold of her hand and directed her towards the food court, letting her look at all the various stands where different types of foods were available. Since it was all foreign to him, and nothing looked particularly nicer than anything else, he would let her pick whichever one she liked best.
“What would you like to eat? My treat,” he told her with a faint smile.

All the food looked new to Kara. So many choices and Kara had to pick on. She wasn’t sure what to pick. There was round things with red stuff and sprinkle cheese, or hamburgers that she tried once, and something called tacos. The Supergirl looked at Sinestro. “Um I don’t know what any of this is but hamburgers.” The word hamburger sounded funny to Kara. It was like a word that you would say to a toddler to make them laugh. With that in mind Kara let out a small laugh. Without much thought Kara guided them to a small place called subway. It was a nice place with a weird sign and it just pulled Kara in. “How about this place?” the thought of food made Kara hungrier then she thought she was. She took in all of the items and everything that was there on the menu. She was lost. Kara had no clue what any of this stuff was, she looked up at the man behind the counter that was waiting for some strange reason. She stared at him with confusion. “Miss. Are you ok?” his voice just confused her more. Maybe coming to this subway was a bad idea. Kara looked at Sinestro with fear in her eyes. Yes Kara was Supergirl and she could stomp out the wildest of villains but something’s just scared Kara, and the unknown scared her, along with manikins. The guy behind the counter was getting quite impatient with the girl and was being very noticeable about it. Kara was starting to feel like he was going to come over the table and choke her with red solar radiation.
