Distinguishing Marks: Phil has pretty large front teeth compared to the rest of his smile. The rest of his teeth are rather pointed and seem to be more like fangs when he's got his Hobgoblin costume on.

Appearance: Phil looks like your average guy, just... with crazy eyes. His skin is a darker apricot color and his hair is dark brown. He typically dresses in regular clothes like tee shirts and jeans, sometimes adding a black leather or tan jacket.

As the Hobgoblin, Phil wears his costume. It's mostly orange with bits of green. It uses a hood and cape, and the Hobgoblin mask hides Phil's true identity from the world. The gloves incorporate finger blasters which can be used to shoot electricity, and the boots contain small jets that allow him to hover. The suit incorporates scale mail material on his arms and legs which helps resist melee weaponry, and bulletproof material elsewhere in the costume.

Personality: Phil is batshit crazy. He used to be a good guy with a good heart. He used to want to be a super hero. Now his heart is black and full of vengefulness and hatred. He's manipulative, conniving, and cynical. He thinks he's smarter, toughter, and all around better than you. He plots things out, he can be methodical, but has little patience when things don't go his way. Impatient and bull-headed, Phil often gets himself into trouble by taking on more than he can chew. He is obsessive and murderous, and sometimes stalks people.

"With great power comes great responsibility"

Powers:
-With the Goblin serum comes enhanced physical capabilities such as strength, speed, accuracy, and flexibility, as well as an enhanced healing factor.

-Lunatic Laugh: something that Phil can use outside of his Hobgoblin alter ego is what he calls his "lunatic laugh". This is a high-pitched, sonic attack that is powerful enough to topple buildings and permanently damage someone's hearing. Phil can only use it if he's laughing and is impervious to its effects if used on him.


Weapons
-The Goblin suit comes with a wide array of useful gadgets, including a pair of wings that gives Phil the ability to fly.

-The Goblin mask reacts to the Goblin formula in Phil's body, making his "superhuman" abilities kick into overdrive. It also channels his Lunatic Laugh.

-Finger blasters located in his gloves can shock a victim, shoot electricity, or blind someone with a flash of light.

-Jets in his boots allow him to hover and stabilize his flight.

-Pumpkin bombs (exact replicas of the Green Goblin's, Phil has yet to customize them for himself)

-Gas ghosts (smoke- and gas-emitting bombs that take on the shape of ghosts)

-Razor batwings (just like the Batarangs)

-A flaming sword

-A variety of other small inconsequential items such as knives.


Strengths/Abilities:
-Enhanced physical attributes and superhuman capabilities.

-Resistant (but not impervious) to physical attacks, able to last longer in a fight than a normal person.

-Cunning and clever, not afraid to team up in order to meet his goals.


Weaknesses:
-Insanity, Phil doesn't have a tight grip on reality. He even hears voices in his head.

-Emotional, Phil is easy to enrage. He's not very good at controlling his emotions.

History:

Phil grew up always wanting to be a news reporter. His uncle Ben worked for the Daily Bugle and would often take Phil on trips with him to places that Ben would write about, teaching Phil the art of journalism.

During one particular stake-out of an Oscorp building, Ben fell under attack and Phil ran to find help. What he found, instead, was a set of Green Goblin armor and the Goblin formula. Phil accidentally fell into the formula and, equipped with the Goblin costume, received all of the wonderful effects of the formula.

Deciding that he could save his uncle on his own, Phil donned the Green Goblin costume and fought off the attackers.

Intrigued by his new abilities and the use of the Green Goblin costume, Phil became a heroic version of the infamous villain, even teaming up with Daredevil to stop villains.

But after a battle that severely damaged his suit and his psyche, Phil gave up heroing altogether in favor of completing his degree in journalism. He began working for the Daily Bugle while his mental state dwindled.

There he met Mickey Musashi who wanted to form a self-help group for teen heroes, and the two went into business, creating Excelsior. But Phil's time was more devoted to the group and his work with the Daily Bugle was slacking.

Peter Parker, a young journalist with incredible potential, was rising up the ranks and surpassing Phil's journalism. In a move sparked by frustration with Phil's work, J Jameson fired him.

The stress of Excelsior, Phil's rotting mental state, and the loss of his job caused Urich to snap and attack Mickey Musashi.

With his sanity finally gone, new voices in his head growing louder every day, and a hatred for Peter Parker, the Daily Bugle, and the masked hero "Spider-Man" that the company seemed to be obsessed with, Phil repaired his old Green Goblin armor, changed it, and took on the identity of the "Hobgoblin".

As the Hobgoblin, Phil Urich finds pleasure in destroying everything around him, improving his suit and his own powers, and ruining everything in Spider-Man's, Peter Parker's, and Norman Osbourne's lives. He blames Parker for the loss of his job and his livelihood, Osbourne for the Goblin formula he fell into at Oscorp, and Spider-Man for continuously protecting the people that have hurt him.

Recently Phil has taken a job with the Gotham Gazette in Gotham City and supplements his job by providing the newspaper/tabloid with photos of his alter ego, Hobgoblin.
