Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Frankcontinuedlimping towards his new found enemies, out of shear anger. He'd never sustained so many injuries in his entire lifetime. He'd dodged bullets and bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan, just to come home and get blown away from a lit gas leak. He wasn't going to let the bitch and her companion take him out, so easily. Frank was the average human with no special powers like the cowardly woman had. Why didn't she just accept death? Frank slowly twirled the knife through his fingers, as he drew nearer to their location. The woman had spoken, making him reveal a weak smirk. "M-Mortal?... You're.... You're as crazy as you look" he spoke weakly as he grunted in pain. The billowing smoke continued to rise from both vehicles, still kind of blocking his vision to the rest.
Frank fell to one knee as he coughed up blood, from a ruptured lung. He quickly stood up, not admitting defeat to these freak-shows. "I... I don't owe you an explanation... I came here... To end you both" he said as he lunged at the woman through the smoke attempting to stab her. Before he could get any closer, a powerful force nailed Frank right in the gut, knocking him straight back onto the pavement. The knife flew from his hand and slid across the concrete. The Punisher laid on the ground helpless and unconscious. He'd lost everything within a day, first his van and now his dignity. Frank loathed admitting defeat, but what was a mortal to an immortal.

Athena sighed. The mortal was dying, she could obviously see that. She looked back at Sportsmaster, saying she should just kill the man in front of her. She looked back at the mortal who was now limping towards her. He had fallen on one knee and was coughing up blood now. She closed her eyes and decided on something, foolish as it was. She opened her eyes to see him lunge at her, knife in hand. Just then, something whizzed past the two and it sent the knife flying onto the concrete. The man fell to the ground, unconscious, and Athena looked in the direction from where the object came. Finally, the smoke had cleared, for the most part, and she could plainly see the Sportsmaster and a man behind him standing. Once she looked closer, Athena recognized him; the man out of time. 'Great. That's all I need, another mortal who thinks they're a big shot.' She thought with a mental sigh. She turned back to the unconscious man and knew she had some time to save him. She walked over to him and got on her knees, something she rarely did. She placed her hands on the man's bare chest and closed her eyes. Using magic once more, she healed what parts of him she could in his abdomen. She saw a bright green light flickering, and knew it was working. Once the light died, she opened her eyes enough to locate his head and she placed her hands on his ears. Once more closing her eyes, she healed his eardrums as well. Finally done with fixing him, all she had to do was wait until he awoke. She knew he'd probably attack once he woke, so she stayed beside him and waited. Without turning her head, she spoke to the Sportsmaster. "I'm not a senseless killer, mortal. I will find out why he attacked. If this has anything to do with you..." She did not finish, knowing he'd probably know what she would do. She was a goddess after all. She also directed a statement towards the man behind Sportsmaster, 'Captain America', as mortals liked to call him, though she knew him as Steve Rogers. "You're not planning on attacking me as well, are you? I don't suggest it. My patience has run thin today, and I will not tolerate anymore violence. Also, strong as you are, Mr. Rogers, I doubt you could face me and come out without a single injury." Athena said. To show that she wasn't fighting anymore, Athena changed her armor to the dress she had been wearing when she was watching Sportsmaster dispose of the crime lord's thugs. Sportsmaster prepared to stab the Punisher, but a colorful shield came out of nowhere, knocking the weapon out of his hand. He then saw a hero clad in American colors walking towards the trio. The ubiquitous despicable heroism radiating from the man was almost palpable, and Lawrence immediately recognized the hero that stood before him. After Athena spoke, Sportsmaster himself approached Captain America. "This isn't your business, Captain. Or... whatever Athena called you. Rogers. This guy shot at us, and I've got my rep to preserve." The assassin then looked at Athena, scowling in frustration. "Hey, goddess. This guy tried to kill us. Maybe we should return the favor," he growled.
The villain glared at the man lying before him with disgust. It was the same disgust reserved that he reserved for obsequious assassins who wished to impress him, or even pitiful opponents who stood no chance against him in battle. This guy was not either, though. He had proven to be a brilliant fighter and marksman, and he would have certainly killed Sportsmaster had he not acted in time. Lawrence glanced at the cut on his stomach, which was bleeding profusely. Pulling out some gauze, he wound it around his stomach to alleviate the pain. It still hurt, but the intense stinging had subsided, leaving behind only minute traces of pain.

He held a knife and as cowardly as he was, he was going to stab the woman. The Punisher fell on his ass, smacking the back of his head across the pavement from the velocity of the shield. The shield had boomeranged back to his location, making him snatch it easily. Now that the Punisher was out of the billowing smoke, he was much more easier to be seen. Steve knew who the man was Frank Castle from Queens, who went by the Punisher. The man was in desperate need of help, and looked like he'd stepped on a bouncing betty mine.
He immediately caught the attention of Athena, but was expecting a thanks, not a lecture. He listened to her cold words, but shook his head. Steve wasn't here to attack anybody, but receive an idea as to what the hell was going. The woman before him seemed old-fashioned like himself, much more old fashioned. She didn't look like she resided in the same world, but whoever she was, Steve would've kept a good eye on her for the time being. "I'm not here to fight, I'm here to dismantle the situation at hand, before it gets any nastier" he spoke to Athena, reassuring her he wasn't the enemy The other man on the other hand, looked much more colder. He was tall, built, and wore a hockey mask to mask his identity. Whoever this man was, he looked dangerous and a force to be reckoned with,
Before he could speak, the other wounded man had spoken although not in a nice way. He was an eager fellow, one that seemed murderous. Captain disliked murderous men, even though he had the right to defend himself. "It's my business when innocent lives are caught in your cross hairs... This man before you will not be killed, not while I'm around, you have a problem with that, then you'll have to answer to me" he spoke as he barred his shield out-front. Before the Cap could do anything else a small light was emitted from the woman's hand. She knelt before the Punisher and was healing him back to perfect health. Steve was shocked to see that this woman had healing powers, wanting to know how. Was she alien? Even through the hundreds of thousands of mutants, not one could heal. "Wh-What are you?" he asked with a shocked facial expression.

Satisfied with Steve Roger's answer Athena nodded and replied. "Good, though with this man unconscious he's certainly not much of a threat anymore. I doubt anymore trouble will be caused by us tonight." She said. Athena stood up because she knew Punisher would be out for a while. She walked over to the other two men. When she saw the hero's expression and heard what he asked, she simply smiled. " I am Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, warfare, and crafts and daughter of Zeus." She said. In a brief moment, Athena's felt her body shudder. She had used a lot of magic today, and that would probably make her that much closer to her 'Sleep'. She sighed mentally, and made a note to check her eye color later. Without her knowledge, her bright green eyes had dulled at least two shades because of her magic use. Seeing the expression Sportsmaster gave her, she felt a very sudden well of anger grow in her. She made a fist, and didn't realy listen as Steve Rogers spoke to Sportsmaster. Once he finished speaking, Athena took over. "I'm not liking your tone or attitude, mortal. I suggest you think twice before angering me," She said harshly. She looked to Steve Rogers and spoke with a softer tone. "Though he attacked me, I will make sure he is not killed. I prefer strategy to senseless killing." She glanced over her shoulder at the Punisher, making sure he hadn't awoken yet, and turned back to the two men in front of her, waiting. Outfit: OutfitWords: 279 Notes:

Sportsmaster scoffed. "Captain America, you can't stop me from ending this crap's life. Neither can you, Athena. Grow a backbone." Sportsmaster pushed Captain America back and glared at Athena, daring her to try and stop him. He then advanced towards the Punisher, his javelin in hand. "You picked the wrong day to mess with me, chump. I gotta pick up my payment in two hours at the subway terminal, and I don't have any time to waste. And in all honesty, you're worse than Slade about this stuff. So forgive me if my hand slips...." The tip of the javelin rested against Punisher's neck, when a brick crashed onto the ground next to him.
"You have five minutes to come and collect your reward, Sportsmaster," he read aloud. He snarled and crumpled it up. "Screw it. I'll go late. THere' nothing they can do about it anyways." Sportsmaster then raised his javelin to stab Punisher's throat. "Say good night, chumpp."

Frank laid on the ground in a subconscious state, dreaming of his wife and kids in the park. It was just another day, where Frank was spending time with the family after being home from a tour. He laid on the blanket, that laid firmly on the grass with his wife. Frank snuggled with his wife, as they watched their kids play from afar. Everything was perfect, and the way it was supposed to be. He kissed his wife Maria on the lips, but the only words that left her mouth was, "Join Us." Frank quickly gave her a confused look, trying hard to contemplate what the hell she was talking about. Within seconds everything had faded, causing Frank to wake up.
He opened his eyes, finding himself no longer in pain. "Though he attacked me, I will make sure he is not killed. I prefer strategy to senseless killing." Frank listened to the woman's words continuing to keep his eyes closed. Someone else had arrived on the seen, but he couldn't make out the voice. "Captain America, you can't stop me from ending this crap's life. Neither can you, Athena. Grow a backbone." Captain America had come to save the day, wanting Frank to smirk widely. The man had confronted him at one time, trying to recruit him into SHIELD. The Cap warned Frank of grave threats approaching, now that Loki had access to a classified weapon of some sort. Frank denied the offer, telling the Cap that he worked alone. As for Sportsmaster, the man hadn't a clue as to who he was dealing with. The only reason Frank was beaten, was because of the freak of a show bitch, that couldn't keep her nose out of his business. Frank wondered why he felt cured from his injuries, but was baffled at the fact that he didn't feel like death.
The Punisher continued lying on the ground pretending to be unconscious, but quickly opened one eye to see whether his weapons were in tact. Frank's holsters were empty, but he then spotted a flashbang in tact. He closed his eye, as he listened to Sportsmaster drawing closer with threatening words. His plan was doomed. Frank laid there helpless on the ground, knowing that the assassin would've been quick with his weapon if he were to grab his only weapon. He only hoped Captain America was as good as people said.

From the looks of his appearance, he seemed to be one hell of an assassin. Death wasn't an option, and if the man was planning anything to jeopardize the law, then he would've felt the full weight of justice. Sportsmaster's arrogance showed through his words, as he was determined to avenge himself. Athena seemed calm and not even fazed by the man's words. I mean she was a goddess sent from the heavens, and there wasn't a single thing a mortal could do to hurt them. Steve was raised a Christian, so he knew a being higher than the gods and goddess' were still among them. He took his faith seriously, and a doubt never entered his mind. "I don't think you want to go down that line of rash thinking... Skull man is coming with me" he spoke as he readied himself in a fighting stance, with his shield in hand.
The Star Spangled Avenger watched the Sportsmaster's every single move, having his vibranium shield at the ready. If this man was looking for a fight, then the Cap would've brought his A-game. He believed he could beat the Sportsmaster in a one on one, just because the arrogance was a weakness. Yeah of course, if someone tried to attack you, then you have every right to defend yourself, but gunning down an unarmed man is a different story. Steve watched as the javelin was aimed directly over Castle's neck, making Captain America release his shield with such speed. The vibranium shield, glided over to the chest of Sportsmaster, hoping he would've caused him to back away.

The Sportsmaster's words about her made her snap. She never did like being insulted, especially by mortals. And the fact that he was threatening the mortal she just saved made her even angrier. She wasn't in a blind rage, simply an anger someone might have if they messed up one too many times. She turned her cold gaze onto the Sportsmaster before she moved with great speed. Before the captain's shield could reach the man, Athena had caught it. She went to grip the Sportsmaster's javelin quickly, meaning to snap it in half. "As I said before, you will not harm this man. You will also take care on how you insult me, mortal. You forget I am goddess who does not take kindly to threats. The man on the ground is proof of that. I only healed him because I wish to speak with him. You attempt something like that again, and I will bring my wrath upon you." She made her voice as strong as she could, hoping he could feel her words to the core of his very being. Outfit: OutfitWords: 203 Notes: I apologize for the long time between posts.
