Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

It had been another long day of not really working at the Daily Planet. She had spent most of her time in Perry's office, arguing about whether or not they should print a story. Of course, it had to do with some of the more shady tones of the city, so the editor was hesitant to sign off on it. However, Lois Lane was not someone who could be denied, and she was fine taking center stage if it meant getting a point across. She imagined it was the best thing to do to ensure the city stays ahead on everything happening. With the merging of the dimensions, it seemed like there were more heroes and villains running around than ever before, and more than that there were more secrets to boot.
The public had the right to know what was happening around them, and Lois wasn't going to let anyone tell her to put a lid on it, even when some of those against her were pretty damn intimidating.
She didn't care how many times people came after her, as long as she got to follow her dreams then she would deal with the messes she often found herself in as a result. It was all going to be worth it in the end, right? It was something to believe in, and that was something the city needed more than anything. So of course she always wanted to make the bad guys pay and bring light to heroes. It brought something that everyone could use to get through their days- it brought hope.
Hope was pretty damn good.
Sighing, content with another day's good work, Lois packed her bag and slipped out onto the darkened streets of the city. One day, she would actually learn from her mistakes and park a little bit closer to the building, but not that night. That night, it felt like she was miles away from the place. There was something off about the air around her, something... sinister. Even though the air that played with her hair was warm, she shivered in the face of it.
Suddenly, she felt like she should pick up the pace to the car, and get herself home before anything could happen. Of course, that thought occurred mere seconds before the heel of her shoe suddenly snapped, sending her crashing to the pavement.
"Oh, wonderful, Lois," she scolded herself bitterly, "just what you needed."
Slowly, she began to gather the contents of the bag she had spilled over in her fall, pushing the collection of strange knick knacks back into her purse. Her expression had turned from worried to annoyed, her thoughts completely straying from the very idea that something bad might happen to her. After all- it already had.
Right?

Sportsmaster had taken on an unusual contract. He had to kill some woman who had caused trouble for the local mafia. A reporter, whose research had gotten one of their best men in jail. He was watching her, and a satisfied smile crossed his face as she fell. He was standing in an alleyway, concealed by the dark shadows of the night. Through his own acumen and intimidation, he had achieved a higher reward fir killing this target. He would not fail. He revealed himself, a silver knife in his hand.
"Well, lady... you have just found yourself in a very dangerous position." The villain twirled the knife in his fingers, eyes narrowed. "What we have here is a rare opportunity for me to have some fun with my target. As you can probably tell, I don't get to do that often." He then grabbed Lois by the hand and roughly shoved her against the car. "So, beautiful... give me a spot to stab. Your neck, or your face? Your stomach, or your thighs?" Sportsmaster's aberrant methods were disturbing and even frightening for the victim, but he didn't care. He relished the moment, his knife grazing Lois's neck.
He would enjoy this. Carving her heart out like a pig seemed so appealing. As he raised his knife, a shadow that crossed over the car made him hesitate.

Post by Oliver "Arrow" Queen on Apr 23, 2013 22:23:45 GMT -5
A shadow figure leaped over a simple gate with easy. The figure processed to climb a decent building thus allowing him a strong view of the city of Meteroplis. The male now scouting the city, was dressed in a dark green, leather jacket with a matching hoodie which allowed some protection over his identity. His eyes were covered by green paint. On his back was his quiver, containing his arrows. His hands were covered by black gloves. His leather pants were dark green as well, matching his jacket and his combat boots were black like his gloves. In his left hand, the man held his signature weapon, a customized recurve bow with a wakizashi. This man was Green Arrow, a famous hero and a member of the Justice League. To the everyday people, he was Oliver Queen whom a billionaire. However, this wasn't where Oliver was known to be at. Reason for him being here because the league had sent him a few weeks back on a mission which ended. Yet, he didn't leave thus he was under his guise, scouting the city to keeping himself from getting rusty.
While on the building, Arrow turned to his left to see he was across the street from Meteroplis' newspaper company, The Daily Planet. The young male stroked chin and recalled someone from the Daily Planet, interviewing him about his company but that was before the island. So, there was no telling how bad that went. Didn't matter though, it was all in the pass. Oliver's eyes spotted someone coming out of the business and walked into darken streets. Being unaware of how safe this city was, Arrow figured he would tail the person till they made it to their car or wherever safely. He quickly dashed to the far left of the building and leaped over and grabbed a long pipe. He began to slide down the pipe till he was in a decent range where he could leap without breaking any bones. He quickly made his way to the citizen whom was now under his protection. Oliver made sure to remain some distance away and in the shadows. Upon being closer, he noticed that this person was a woman and had seemed familiar. First thing which popped into his mind, was he knew her because he might have slept with her.
She began to speak to herself and spilled her stuff all on the ground. Perhaps, she getting scared to him following her. Arrow did a good job of just remaining hidden and not doing a damn thing. However a problem appeared. A familiar voice which immediately knew whom it belong to, the Sportsmaster. He saw Sportsmaster with a knife and realized that he planned to kill her but for whatever reason was unknown at the given moment. Quickly without second thought, Oliver made his presence known. "This is sad, Sportsmaster. Force to kill women now? Leave her alone now." Arrow spoke fierce then dash towards the assassin, placing both hands on the bow and ready to attacked with it. Arrow wasn't going to allow the Sportsmaster to slip away this time and he wasn't going to allowed this innocent woman to fall like that man a few weeks ago did. He couldn't have two people fall by the same person.

Any other woman might have screamed in blind terror and shit themselves after a man leapt out and attacked them with a knife. Any other woman would have been sobbing and begging for their lives. But Lois was not like any other woman- she was someone who was surprisingly used to having people attack. Granted, that didn't stop her heart from leaping into her throat, but it at least allowed her to keep from completely breaking down at the sudden attack from the masked stranger. She was pushed against the car, the woman letting out a heavy grunt as she looked up at the unknown man. Some kind of assassin? Oh great- just who had she pissed off this time? The drug dealers from Gotham? The prostitutes in Star City? The corrupt politicians in Washington? There were so many people who might have wanted her dead that it was seriously hard to keep track. Granted, her mind jumping around like a ball due to her fear probably wasn't helping.
"Ugh, gross!" She hissed, watching the knife carefully as he moved it around, trying to scare her with picking a place to stab. And it was working, too. She was totally frightened. Moreso knowing that her pepper spray and stun gun were both still on the floor with the other contents of her bag. Really would have been useful right at that moment. "How about I opt out of the whole stabbing thing altogether, creep!" She shoved her knee into the man's groin at that moment, though she suspected it wouldn't do her a lot of good. The trained ones were always harder to deal with than random thugs- and they seemed more immune to kicks in the balls. Still, she just needed a little wiggle room, then maybe she could run away....
Then, someone else decided to join them.
"How many masked men are on this street?!" She yelped, though she soon realized that the man was not there to hurt her. Actually, it seemed like he was there to save her. Peaking over her large attacker, she spotted the bow and outfit, instantly recognizing the hero as Green Arrow. She had written a couple articles about him, and how he was a very different kind of hero. Hopefully he wasn't going to hold that against her right at that moment- she kind of needed to be saved, even if she did think his methods were sometimes extreme.
"you better listen to him, tough guy," she snapped, looking back at the one who was apparently called Sportsmaster, "unless you want an arrow right between the eyes!" She was a ballsy one, even when she was cornered and completely helpless. Probably a leading cause to her getting into trouble in the first place.
Maybe people would leave her alone if she just learned when the best moment to shut her mouth was.
