His facial features are fairly common, a handsome broad chin, a slight squint to his eyes, and thin lips. His nose is slightly crooked from an old bar fight back in the day but it is not easily seen at first glance.
Face Claim: Daniel Craig
"I’m not interested in making new friends,
I don’t even like the ones I have”
I don’t even like the ones I have”
Likes:
Ancient treasure- Despite his many years as a tomb raider and treasure hunter and despite some of the incidents that have come because of it,David is an avid treasure hunter and archaeologist.
Alcohol- He likes strong drinks like scotch or whisky with a passion. When he isn't out and about, you'll usually find him with a glass in his hand.
Jazz- An older music for an older man, he likes everything from smooth to swing.
Reading old adventure stories- From comics, to pulp fiction, he likes to read the old stories that he grew up with as a child.
Dislikes:
Tight spaces, power hungry egomaniacs, getting gypped with his discoveries, every other artifact he seems to find seems to be cursed.
Personality:
Though being a fairly decent human being, he is not a saint by any stretch. He robs tombs, double crosses partners on payments, and always has a sense of snark to his voice. He is as much a scoundrel and a thief as he is a hero. That being said, he does have his standards. He doesn't screw over his true friends no matter what. He also does not take or exploit from those less fortunate than he is. Though often hesitant to jump into the fray, when the stakes are high, he will get his act together to save people.
That being said, he is not a proponent of non-lethal force. He carries a gun at all times. He's the type who thinks that tough times calls for tougher methods. However he does not kill without discrimination. He believes in an equal response to the level of a threat. He tries to save his bullets as well as the lives he fights.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers:
David has the mystical ability to turn into a puff of smoke, making him intangible and allowing him to fly. He can form the smoke clouds into any form he pleases, they cannot harm anyone but they can provoke. He can surround a room full of smoke, making people choke and he can split into four either varying at the size of an ant to normal size. He is still a man of normal strength so the split effect is not to powerful, just average. If you have a good eye, disorienting the original body can dispel the others. The mystical source which gave him the power also made him immortal, however he is not invulnerable. In smoke form he can enter places others could not by seeping through cracks, keyholes, etc.
Weapons
Handgun- 9mm. The weapon does not divide among the smoke clones.
Strengths/Abilities:
Expert marksman
Boxer
Athletic
Weaknesses:
While he does not age, he can still be hurt like any other man, a well placed strike while he is solid is still lethal. Though he can retain smoke form indefinitely, he cannot hit someone that way and if you contain him in an airtight container that would not shatter from expanding, then he is captured for good. Also, if the gem in his heart is removed from his body, the gem's power can be taken by the new owner.

History:
Born in 1930s Gotham City, David grew up reading stories about great pulp heroes in a time where superheroes and villain were almost unheard of, not knowing that he would someday become one. A bright boy in the lower east of the city, he grew up fairly poor and managed to expand his education through scholarships. He proved to be very skilled in terms of history, deductive reasoning, and archaeology. However, David was restless. He could not be satisfied turning in papers and sitting at a desk while the grand mysterious world he read about was out there. All these lost treasures were his for the taking.
After a brief stint in WW2, he abandoned his comfortable life to continue one of adventure and action. His talents for discovery had him finding several artifacts which to this day, continue to be shown in museums throughout the world. He managed to acquire a decent fortune for himself through his endeavors. His big prize was found in an ancient and buried temple in South America. His prize was a gem, but not just any gem, it was one that when Dave touched it, it faded into a puff of smoke. The smoke dived into Dave, surrounding his heart and crystallized around it. The mystical properties of the gem enabled Dave to transform his body into smoke, separate into multiple forms at will, and he later found that he no longer aged.
The gem turned out to be a sacred stone from a long lost civilization. This sacred stone was used to protect their civilization. However, as far as Dave could tell, the civilization was destroyed or absorbed by another most likely the Incas. The gem was dislodged from the heart of the previous bearer but was salvaged by one of the priests and hidden in this chamber.
His pursuit in discovering more of this hidden civilization led him to more expeditions, coming face to face with pirate, fellow treasure hunters, cults, the reds, and even ancient arcane horrors. However, the trail has gone cold and he now spends his endless life in looking for other treasures for himself or clients who hire him for his expertise. This has led him to dedicate most of this treasure hunting to also locate powerful artifacts and keeping them away from those who would use them to bring ruin to the world.
Though eternal youth definitely has benefits, it also has it disadvantages. David has outlived his friends and his wife, watching them wither away from age or suffering from his own actions. Living a life of constant life-risking adventure, had taken its toll on many of his companions. He has to live with the knowledge that he is responsible for the sicknesses and curses inflicted upon his friends and at times having to watch his loved ones turn against him.
He is one of the oldest super-powered individuals on record as well as one of the first to go public with his identity. Despite this however, since he travels a lot and is not a vigilante, he has not been highly exposed. The information on him is readily available but no one seems to look it up.

His research finally led David Hais in the middle of the desert in the Middle East. He had finally found it, the lost Tomb of King Solomon. His partner, Linda was definitely a talented tracker, despite David's own talent's he was not sure if he would have been able to locate this on his own. It was important that he'd find it, he had caught wind of a potential expedition coming to take a sacred artifact. It was an artifact of immense power. Solomon's Seal was able to capture and control the actions of demons. It was how the great king built the great temple of the Jewish people. At least that was a legend. David could verify through his supernatural sources that the seal did have this power, but as to what it was actually used for was not certain.
The tomb was buried in towers of sand, only recently did David's hired team managed to dig it out. David only let himself and Linda enter though. An object of this power must not end up in the hands of those who would not understand it.
The two looked down into a deep cavern, it was a long way down, but it was the only way down as well. As Linda took out a rope she handed it over to David.
"Find a place to fasten this for me will ya?" she asked.
"You got it babe." David replied, taking the rope in his hand, then wrapping it around his waist.
His body faded into smoke, the smoke traveled downward to the bottom of the temple. It slowly dissolved back into a human. David nudged a nearby statue. It seemed solid enough, he then tied the rope to it for support. This was definitely the place, the statue was just as old and conveniently enough, it had the King's name on it. Becoming smoke once more he flew back up,re-materialized and handed the other end of the rope to Linda who began to climb down.
That's when the first of the traps went off. Classic pressure pads, classic spikes firing from the walls. Quickly, David jumped on top of Linda and pushed her to the floor, the spikes barely going over their heads. David's eyes widened as he heard the sound of their bodies hitting the tile they were on.
"Hollow." David uttered.
"What's that?" Linda asked.
"Hollow!" David yelled as he grabbed Linda and the two rolled over as the tile they were on fell downwards for miles down a pit they could not see the bottom of.
David had been in enough tombs to figure out where to go. Places like these often had a dead end, they could be maze-like at times. But David managed to figure it out. Finally, they reached the resting place of the great King.
The two made sure to walk over the trip wire by the entry way. They looked up to what it was attached to, boulders, giant boulders.
"Aren't you glad I told you to wait?" asked Linda.
"Another step and I'd be squashed like an accordion." he replied jokingly.
The lid of the coffin was incredibly heavy, they could not lift them by themselves. Luckily, David was never alone. Three smoky forms flew out of him and began to solidify. The four David's along with Linda, managed tor pry open the lid and they stared into the cavernous sockets where the eyes of the King used to be. The body was remarkably well preserved, either from the dry atmosphere mummifying the corpse or maybe, just maybe Solomon's God kept him in good shape. The ring was on his left pointer finger, the Seal was clear as day save from some slight dust and flakes of skin.
All the David's merged into one as he reached towards the hand. "A ring of this power could not be entrusted to anyone save for you, surely, no one short of wisdom given by the divine could wield this responsibly."
As David's finger made contact with the ring, there was a loud boom. David's back felt warm, and wet. The smell of iron almost immediately filled the air, and David collapsed on the floor, first seeing his blood trickle downwards, then looking up at Linda.
"Sorry old man. But this thing is going to make me rich. No hard feelings." she said as she put away her gun, walked over David, and took the ring.
She ran and hid behind another statue as the rest of David's crew came to investigate, she then ran as they were no longer in sight, climbed up the rope, took one of the trucks and drove off.
Though the wound was not lethal, it would take time to heal. As his crew carefully hoisted him up to safety, David swore to recover the Seal of Solomon before he blacked out.
