Appearance: Orion, as befits one of his reputation, is a giant of a man. He has a great broad frame, with healthy amounts of muscle. His face has the fire of youth about it. When it comes to clothing, Orion tends to forgo traditional armour plating in favour of more contemporary leather armour, notably a red jacket and gloves with black pants and boots. As such, he comes off as more of a human biker than a warrior. The whole affair is topped off by a silver helmet with a flippable visor and his sun motif as decoration.

Personality: They don't call Orion "the dog of war" for nothing. He's a very powerful presence both on and off the battlefield, constantly scowling. He keeps his stoic character up at all times, sometimes being virtually unreadable. He has a fondness for humans, believing that they possess qualities he could never have. Of course, in an after-battle celebration, he'll party like it's 1999 BC, turning raucous and loud.
Under his calmer demeanour, he hides the one gift he wishes he doesn't have: a powerful rage and temper, matching that of his birth father. He keeps it under control as much as he can, but when he lets it fly, he can become very scary. It can be enough to make grown mortal men cry.

Powers:
Super Duper Strength-Orion's strength is something to marvel at, even compared to the other New Gods. He can lift up to 150 tons, and even go toe-to-toe with Superman.
Super Endurance-Not only is Orion able to withstand blows that make human warriors cry to their mothers, he is able to withstand very harsh environments.
Super Speed-Again, being a New God, he can move faster than ordinary vanilla humans.
Super Agility-New God gifts at play again. Orion can leap higher than regular humans.
Longevity-The New God-ness keeps him from dying of natural means. He can still be killed, however.
Weapons
-Mother Box: A sentient, hand-sized computer connected to the Source. It aids Orion in calming his temper and can do lots of other things. Think of it as THE IPHONE OF THE GODS!
-Astro Harness: Orion's flying machine. It can open boom tubes upon command. His Mother Box can attach itself to it. It is able to repair itself.
Strengths/Abilities:
Orion is a master of both armed and unarmed combat, though he prefers unarmed.
He knows how to navigate the boom tube network exceptionally well.
Under Highfather's tutelage, he has learned how to remain calm for most of the time.
Weaknesses:
Orion's legendary temper has been known to get the better of him.
Orion finds it difficult to understand Earth customs, or any customs that don't involve ritual killing.

History:
"There came a time when the old gods died! The brave died with the cunning! The noble perished, locked in battle with unleashed evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!"
Now that, dear friends, is an epic for our time.
Thus begins the story of Orion. The old pantheons of the Third World died in a great inferno and were embedded in the Source Wall to make way for the Fourth World, and the New Gods that arose on the planets of New Genesis and
As Orion settled into life on the more idyllic New Genesis, it was discovered that he had a very powerful temper, which often burst out of him in stressful situations. It took help from his friends to keep it under control, as well as the teachings of trusting in The Source, and a Mother Box; a gift from Highfather. At one point, he felt attraction to Barda, the daughter of Breeda, though she did not return his affections. When Orion came "of age" he was brought before The Source, which told him of a prophecy it made before Orion was born. It was foretold that Orion would one day defeat his true father in the fire-pits of Apokolips, and it would decide the fate of the worlds.
Orion began to take an interest in Earth when Darkseid invaded for the first time. Post Darkseid's first defeat at the hands of the JLA, he ventured to the planet for the first time, making contact with the League and being mistaken for a minion of Darkseid. Though he initially clashed against them in true comic book fashion, they joined forces eventually, with Orion even joining the League for some time, though he was forced to return to the side of Highfather, serving the New Gods of New Genesis.
