Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

When most teenage girls sneaked out, they went out with their friends, or a boy or to some kind of party. Cassie Sandsmark was far from ordinary, when she sneaked out, she flew all around the country to try and be the best superhero she could be. It was a simple fact that crime didn't stop at night time, if anything it increased, so Cassie couldn't let a simple thing like a curfew get in the way of helping people. The only problem was that she had to make sure not to be caught, otherwise her mother could remove the powers that she had acquired. Still, she had her cell phone, so if her mother discovered that she wasn't in bed, at least she could get in contact with her. If Cassie wasn't busy trying to save someone, then she would probably return home right away.
She had flown to Metropolis, eagerly hoping to meet other heroes. It seemed that Metropolis, New York and Gotham City were the places to go if you wanted to see heroes in action. Of course, she still knew there were plenty of other city's with incredible heroes. As much as Cassie adored flying, she wanted to explore on the ground for a while. Metropolis was a large and elaborate city and it couldn't be properly experienced from the air. It was the same as every city, flying high above the city skyline was fun, but to really get a vibe from the city, a close up look was required. She could have always flown at a low level as she navigated the city streets, but that was a little bit too attention seeking for her taste. Although she'd be lying if the thought wasn't slightly tempting. However, since she was still relatively new, nobody knew who she was. For all she knew, they could run in fear, thinking a new super villain had arrived. Although her costume wasn't that bad.
After getting changed into her civilian gear on a rooftop, putting her costume and wig into her backpack, Cassie made her way down back onto street level. A quick glimpse on her phone revealed that it was just reaching 10:30pm. It had taken her sooner than she thought to make it to Metropolis, which was a good thing if she had to rush back home. As she made her way through the still busy streets of Metropolis, she slightly gawked, looking up at the large buildings and thinking about everything that had taken place in the skies above the city. When her imagination stopped running wild, a warm smile returned to her face as she met eyes with the people she walked past.
As fun as it was to explore a city uninterrupted, Cassie was dying for some proper action. Not some boring petty criminals that she could take of blindfolded with one hand tied behind her back. She wanted a real challenge. It was early days in her "career" so that day would no doubt come soon. Cassie's gaze one again shot towards the tall buildings, not paying attention to where she was going. She felt herself bump into someone.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention." she said, chuckling before smacking herself in the head with the palm of her hand. "I'm a complete bonehead. Are you okay?" she asked with a sudden look of concern on her face.

Out and about for a day, Lor found himself wandering down a sidewalk going nowhere in particular. The city was quiet for the day, perhaps criminals realized the city was under the watch of not just one, but several Kryptonian heroes who would thwart anything they attempted that could harm innocent people. A day off as far as he was concerned, nothing to do but relax and enjoy the nice weather. His powers were developing, now he could do things such as block out certain sounds and focus on others, which unfortunately he was doing when he would bump into someone. He was listening to a group of birds in the park adjacent, all of them chirped as they toddled about on the ground in search of food. The flapping of their wings all created a symphony as they were dispersed when a small child ran through them playfully.
He hadn't even noticed that he was on a collision course with a young woman, normally if he wasn't careful, it could hurt her, but as the two met, Lor noticed she was actually quite sturdy which was weird for a young human girl. His vision shot to her as she began apologizing and inquiring about his well being. He rubbed the back of his head and smiled as he reassured her that no harm had been done. ''Heh, I'm fine don't worry about me, I was the one being a clumsy oaf'', he said chuckling as he took the blame upon himself for not watching where he was going.
He stood there and looked her over for a moment, she seemed to be more than human. Her bones and overall make up was more dense, however he did not mean to inquire on why. ''Hi, I'm Chris'', he said extending his hand to shake hers. Before he could, his ears picked up the sound of a large explosion that shook the city a bit, luckily he had his uniform on under his casual clothing. He immediately sped off into the sky, pulling his clothing off to reveal the uniform. He came to a halt and looked around noticing the source of the explosion, apparently there was a large robotic figure running a muck a few blocks over. He scanned it in a second and noticed it had several vital spots on it's torso and neck.
He moved toward it but the figure immediately sent a concussive beam of energy which struck him and caused him to fly smack back into the ground near where the young lady he had just bumped into would have been. Chris pushed himself from the ground which was dented by the impact. He rubbed his head a bit before taking off once more and slamming into the robot head first and beginning to thrash it from the inside.

Cassie was relieved to find out that the person she had bumped into was okay after their collision. It wouldn't have been the first time that her incredible strength had inadvertently almost gotten her into trouble. However, she found it curious that walking into the man felt like walking into a brick wall, especially considering how strong she was. Putting it down to just her lack of attention, she smiled at him as he introduced himself, a smile that was a mix of relief, politeness, and happiness at the fact that she was meeting a new person. At half ten at night in the city, meeting someone didn't exactly seem like the best idea for a fifteen year old girl to do, but Cassie could more than handle herself, plus, he seemed nice.
"Hi. Nice to meet you, I'm-" her words were cut off by the sound of an explosion, followed by the shriek of a few people further down the street. After looking up to the sky for a moment, she turned her attention back to Chris. She knew she had to help with whatever, and she could feel the excitement inside her growing. Before she needed to think of an excuse to leave, she watched in shock as the man took off, up into the sky. "Woah…" she said, her mouth hanging open for a second before she came to her senses, quickly finding the nearest alley before fluidly flying up onto the rooftop in a motion that appeared as if she had jumped the height.
At her speed, it only took a few seconds to get changed into her costume. The longest part was adjusting the wig to make it look natural. Luckily, the goggles she wore kept it in place for her. She couldn't see the source of the explosion due to the height of the building she was on obscured her view. Before she could go investigate, she saw the man that had just introduced himself to her get sent flying back to the street where they just were. Cassie watched the spot where he had landed to make sure he was okay. When he recovered, she grinned, that explained why it felt so hard when she bumped into him, she quickly flew into the air behind him to see what was causing all the trouble.
Moments after spotting the robotic troublemaker, Cassie watched as the man flew head first at the robot, breaching its armour and making an attack from the inside. "Awesome." she said quietly to herself before making her move to help out. With an attack already happening inside, Cassie decided to engage in an outside attack. She had no ranged attacks, apart from throwing whatever heavy objects she could find, but she had a feeling the robot would easily be able to protect itself from that kind of attack. As she speedily flew closer, she noticed it turned its attention to her. While she didn't like the idea of just being a distraction, downright hated the idea was closer, it was the only thing she could do right now.
In preparation for its attack, Cassie crossed the two bracelets on her wrists in front of her chest and readied herself for the attack. A beam of energy quickly shot out which she immediately met with her bracelets, deflecting the beam towards the sky. It only took a few moments for the machine to realise that the attack was useless and the beam shut off. Instantly, Cassie darted towards the robot ready to strike. Just as she was about to use all her strength in a punch to its head, she remembered about Chris being inside. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt him so she limited herself as her fist made contact with the robot's head. The impact was nowhere near her full capacity, only knocking it off balance, but she hoped it had done some damage, especially combined with the attack that was happening inside.

Lor thrashed about in the machine for a few moments before he felt help from outside, and when he peeked to see who it was, he was shocked to see it as the same young lady whom he had bumped into on he street, given she had changed, but apparently she was pretty powerful. Now that he knew he had some help, he knew what he had to do, his eyes began to glow red as he unleashed his heat vision which ripped a hole through the hull and caused the already off balance machine to tip over and crash to the ground. Lor smashed his way out and picked the machine up as explosion was eminent, he flew it into the air above the city about 10,000 feet off the ground and help it as the explosion went off.
The sky above Metropolis was set ablaze as Lor himself was sent slamming into the ground where this time there as a larger crater surrounding him. He was hurt for a moment, but soon began to heal as he pulled himself up from the hole. He looked around for the young woman as she had been in part a reason for his success. He rubbed his head, the explosion was very forceful, but luckily it wasn't in the city streets where it could possibly kill or hurt someone. He surveyed the area and spotted the young lady before flying over to her.
He smiled as he approached her, now it all made sense as to why she was able to be so sturdy when they collided, she was by no stretch normal. ''Um, hey, let's try that over again, I'm Chris... Nightwing'', he said smiling and extending his hand once more. This time he introduced himself as the young hero as opposed to a regular person, because obviously she had seen him. Luckily his uniform was intact, so the name went well along with it. The punishment he had just absorbed was not enough to do more than scratch his uniform up a bit, but nothing too serious.
''I'm so sorry, I didn't get your name before we were rudely interrupted'', he chuckled.
