Hair: Arya has shoulder length hair that is an average shade of brown. Her hair has natural loose curls, but she often straightens it. She uses the best products to keep her hair soft, silky, and healthy.
Eyes: Arya's eyes are a dark brown shade. They have a slight almond shape to them, though not an Asian shape. When she is feeding, her eyes glow a bright ice blue.
Height: 5' 2"
Weight: 110 lbs.
Distinguishing Marks: Her obvious height difference from everyone is a big give away. The only tattoo Arya has is on her left arm (where most number tattoos went) that reads 'Teufel', or Devil. She usually wears long sleeves to hide it though, because people think it's 'cool' and ask her about it, which irritates her.


Appearance: Standing at five feet and two inches, Arya is quite a bit shorter than average. Her small stature and thin figure helps her maneuvered better in tight spaces and helps her hide. She has a slightly curvy figure, and only really accentuates this fact when she needs to get energy. When she does go out to get energy, she shows a lot of skin and/or wears skin tight dresses. She usually wears dark colored dresses when she is okay with energy, mostly black, grey, or navy blue. Arya was branded while she was in the 'protection' of Nazi soldiers. While she wasn't numbered during The Holocaust, she was given a 'Teufel' tattoo that she let stay on her skin as a reminder to humanity's cruelty and ability to be cruel.

Personality: For about a century, Arya remained her kind and trusting self. Though trusting, she was not blind and naive when it came to the evil in the world and the pure greed of others. Arya had never been religious, but every act of evil she saw made her desperately wish for Hell to exist. As she grew as a person, and witnessed more of humanity's evil as well as goodness, Arya became less trusting and more... analyzing. She would always look at a situation or offer and weigh each and every option in her mind before she would act upon a decision. She still does that to this day.

After surviving experimentation and basically torture at the hands of Nazi scientists, Arya lost nearly all of her love of any part of Earth and the people who inhabited the planet. She wanted to burn the world and everyone on it. After many years past, the humanity hating part of her still lives in the darkest areas of her heart. She is able to trust others now, but not as easily. She hasn't been in love since Erik, her Norse lover, and actually has no idea if she actually could find anyone she could love as much as him.

In this day and age, Arya can be quite patient with people, even obnoxious ones. She has a deep love for children and is excellent with them, no matter the age or gender. She is as honorable as she can be, and always tries desperately to not kill her 'targets', though sometimes it happens. Guilt weighs heavily on Arya's heart and she carries the deaths of those targets in her heart constantly.

Powers:

• Suspended Aging - Due to her mutation, Arya does not age at all... unless she is in dire need of energy. Once she becomes starved for the essence of a living thing, she starts to age. Not quickly at first, but it becomes a rapid decrease after 24 hours. In theory, after two days of being in a starved state, she will wither and die.
• Energy Absorption - Arya is required to absorb energy in order to live. She also needs the basic human necessities; the energy is not a substitute for food and water. When she is getting close to starving for energy, she can absorb it from other living things (plants and animals), but that will not keep her satiated for long. In order to function for long periods of time, she needs it from a human like being (humans, aliens, mutants, etc).
• Enhanced Strength - Because of her ability to absorb energy from living beings, Arya is able to become stronger with the larger quantity (and the younger) energy she acquires.
• Rapid Cellular Regeneration - When Arya is not in need of energy, she is able to heal herself at an accelerated rate that depends on the wounds severity. Small cuts can heal in a matter of seconds while a large wound can take up to 3 hours depending on her energy levels and the size of said wound.

Weapons

• Arya's Bow - Arya is someone who prefers stealth to an all out attack on the occasions she actually has to battle someone. She goes for long distance battle before she resorts to close combat. She uses this bow mainly because it was a weapon that her lover taught her how to use.
  
  
• Arya's Gun - Arya has a permit for and sometimes carries around a Beretta 92. She usually only carries it on her person when she is going somewhere with less than safe conditions. She only uses this weapon when she is either cornered by multiple enemies or too weak to handle one.
  
  

Strengths/Abilities:

• Intelligence - Arya is a very intelligent woman. She has lived for four centuries, so she has had a long time to gather such intelligence. From reading books to attending college several times, she has pursued knowledge in may areas.
• Caution - Arya is a very cautious person, for obvious reasons from her past. She tiptoes into situations, especially in battle. She likes to think things through and make sure she will be successful before attempting something.
• Acting - Arya is an excellent actor because of her time as one in 17th Century France. She is able to do a variety of accents perfectly. South African, English, Welsh, Scottish, and Russian are her most used.
• Linguistic Abilities - Over 400 years of life have allowed Arya to move from country to country. Over those 4 centuries, she learned various languages, though she doesn't use all of them. She can speak and understand English, French, German, Swedish, Italian, and Russian though she only really uses English and Russian.

Weaknesses:

• Her abilities - Because of Arya's dependency on energy, she can easily become weak and very vulnerable. If someone were to even take energy from her, she'd be left defenseless and rapidly aging.
  
  
• Fear of Heights –Arya is absolutely frightened of high places. She can't stand anywhere near a ledge higher than two stories. This fear and actually paralyze her if she's high enough up.
  
• Her past - Arya's past is a major weakness to her. A lot of her time in the hands of SS is blocked in her mind, and for good reason. Those parts of her memories can and have come out at any time and more often than not leave her paralyzed with fear. These memories do not come out often, but when they do they do, they're devastating to Arya's sanity.

History: Arya was born on October 30th in the early 1602. She was originally born in Moscow, Russia, but through a series of events, she was raised in Berlin, Germany from the age of three on. At such a young age, she did not know enough of the Russian language to speak it everyday, so her mother taught her Russian the same time her father taught her German. She was an intelligent child, but even then, learning two languages at the exact same time was not easy for her at all, and one of the most difficult things she had to ever do. She got over her difficult lessons and was able to fluently speak German and Russian. She grew up in a normal home life, and nothing was really different from any other poor family in the 1600s in Germany. In 1618, Arya's older brother, Lucas, was recruited to become a solder fighting against Catholics, at first. As the war grew out of control, her father was swept up into it as well. They both never came back, not even their remains. Arya and her mother lived alone until Arya started to show the first signs of her abilities. She would be more energetic and upbeat around others because she was sapping their life force, and they would be unmotivated and practically lifeless around her. She never really noticed for quite some time until two years after her 17th birthday, Arya was arranged a marriage with a more wealthy commoner. On their wedding night, Arya absorbed every last bit of energy from her husband unknowingly, and he was dead when she woke up. Arya, at this point, knew there was something terribly wrong with her, but in fear of what would happen to her mother should anyone find out, she played the part of a grieving wife. The only fortunate thing about her husband's tragic death was that he was thrice her age, and about to die anyway.

Arya stayed in Berlin for a couple years after that before moving on to another country. During this time, Arya learned how to control her hunger and ability enough that she did not kill when she fed. She lived two years without a kill. She lost control accidentally one time when she fed in 1623. Unfortunately she was caught during this feed and she had to flee the scene. Berlin became too dangerous for her, so she decided to move to just travel Europe. She went from Poland to Belgium and even Spain, seeking adventure as well as knowledge. She finally came to France in 1626, and loved it so much that she stayed until 1643. During her stay, she met a man like her who wasn't quite human, but he had been alive longer than her. Erik, a native of Sweden, settled down with her and they actually started a family. Because they both had near immortality, they feared their children would have the same curse. Tragically, their only son, Alexander, died of dysentery. After the death of her son, neither of them were the same. Erik left about a year later and left her alone. She later learned of his death which shocked her beyond belief. In 1643, the same war that had taken her brother and father threatened her life once again. Looking to put her past horrors behind her, Arya left France.

She went from country to country; sometimes staying only a few days, and other times she stayed for a number of years before finally moving on. She became somewhat famous across Europe by word of mouth. They would speak of a beauty that struck at midnight, taking unsuspecting men to her bed and stealing their souls before she killed them. Obviously, that was almost all myth; She would stalk around dark alleys in the streets at night for her prey, but would hardly ever kill. In 1692, Arya settled down in a small village in Turkey where she laid low for a few years. She wanted to stay as far from France and her bad memories as possible, so she kept her mind off of children, France, and Sweden for those few years. In 1700, Arya traveled with a group of traders to Rome, Italy where she lived until the 20th Century. Arya actually lived happily and had a normal life for a woman in those centuries aside from changing identities every once in a while. She kept her nose out of history and just focused on an average life in Italy.

By 1927, Arya knew knew four languages and was quite tired of always being on the run. Taking an assumed name, she returned to Berlin where she lived until August of 1935. on the fifth of that month, Arya was taken by the Nazis. She had been in hiding, not because she was Jewish, but because a member of Schutzstaffel (SS) was aware of her and her abilities. After she was followed and observed for a certain amount of time, she was taken into a large, compound devoted to testing mutants and the like. Run by the Institute for Military Scientific Research, tests and experiments were run on Arya day and night. She was starved to the point that she would almost die and then they would feed her energy from inmates (Jewish and otherwise) from the concentration camps. In her nearly dying state, she could 'devour' almost five humans before she was even close to being as strong as one of said prisoners.

Arya was kept in the same facility until the end of World War Two. In her second month where she escaped while she was being transferred to a different facility. She was able to absorb the energy from all three guards in the truck that was transporting her, which made her just strong enough break her bonds and flee into the woods. She traversed a thick forest until she got to a small town where the local doctor there cared for her. She was able to recuperate by absorbing small amounts of energy from each of the town's adults. When she was able, Arya left the town and Germany all together. She was able to get into America with concentration camp survivors and get to New York City where she immediately started a new life. Arya went through many different lives in the United States and lived in twice as many places. She currently resides in Washington, D.C. as Arya Martell. She is a college student majoring in Forensic Psychology.

Writing Sample:

Athena sighed. The mortal was dying, she could obviously see that. She looked back at Sportsmaster, saying she should just kill the man in front of her. She looked back at the mortal who was now limping towards her. He had fallen on one knee and was coughing up blood now. She closed her eyes and decided on something, foolish as it was. She opened her eyes to see him lunge at her, knife in hand.

Just then, something whizzed past the two and it sent the knife flying onto the concrete. The man fell to the ground, unconscious, and Athena looked in the direction from where the object came. Finally, the smoke had cleared, for the most part, and she could plainly see the Sportsmaster and a man behind him standing. Once she looked closer, Athena recognized him; the man out of time. 'Great. That's all I need, another mortal who thinks they're a big shot.' She thought with a mental sigh.

She turned back to the unconscious man and knew she had some time to save him. She walked over to him and got on her knees, something she rarely did. She placed her hands on the man's bare chest and closed her eyes. Using magic once more, she healed what parts of him she could in his abdomen. She saw a bright green light flickering, and knew it was working. Once the light died, she opened her eyes enough to locate his head and she placed her hands on his ears. Once more closing her eyes, she healed his eardrums as well.

Finally done with fixing him, all she had to do was wait until he awoke. She knew he'd probably attack once he woke, so she stayed beside him and waited. Without turning her head, she spoke to the Sportsmaster.

"I'm not a senseless killer, mortal. I will find out why he attacked. If this has anything to do with you..." She did not finish, knowing he'd probably know what she would do. She was a goddess after all.

She also directed a statement towards the man behind Sportsmaster, 'Captain America', as mortals liked to call him, though she knew him as Steve Rogers. "You're not planning on attacking me as well, are you? I don't suggest it. My patience has run thin today, and I will not tolerate any more violence. Also, strong as you are, Mr. Rogers, I doubt you could face me and come out without a single injury." Athena said.

To show that she wasn't fighting anymore, Athena changed her armor to the dress she had been wearing when she was watching Sportsmaster dispose of the crime lord's thugs.
