Joshua Helms
It was as if every step pulsated an energy of what was about to happen. It was much in the way the sounds of a drum starting at a live show that made the crowd's blood begin to pump. Today there was reason, there was purpose to rise from his sleep and venture to work. Though upon arrival he was taken by lower ranking HYDRA employees to a building he had seen but never noticed. It was on the outskirts of New York City, a good drive West. Joshua understood the cautionary procedures, this wasn't just any type of meeting.
It all started with a plan, an idea. Clyde Angeles stepped forward with an offer of tremendous monetary gain. That was all he needed really. It was all anyone needed. Assassins killed for money, Helms was just a scientist. But then again that's what they were also called, the ones who created the vaccinations parents injected their children with yearly. Now didn't some of those have some fatal reactions? Joshua won't tell if no one else does. That's how he operated. He performed for himself. Whatever way he can make his life better he would do it. Oh boy, he was a keeper if anyone ever saw one.
He grabbed the black briefcase and exited the vehicle, the sun blaring down into his eyes. He glanced at the building before he tucked his free hand in his pant pocket and kept his gaze to the ground to avoid the sun. His palms weren't sweating but his heartbeat was racing. He had been working for the terrorist organization, HYDRA, for a while now though he hadn't met any higher ups. He stayed in his office and did his work while he daydreamed of all the things he'd like to do with heroes such as Black Widow or Catwoman. Such naughty women needed firm discipline. That was another thing. Joshua's views on women were just terrible. His father was abusive which resulted in his mother's death. Shit happens. He hadn't processed that event nor did he plan to. She had what was coming to her so said his father.
The doors opened from the inside as he was lead into a warehouse, as black as the night. His lips twitched as he looked around, having stopped walking about five feet inside. He wasn't afraid for his life, he knew what this was. It was about the exchange. The exchange of a product that had been carefully crafted before those villains tore through the SHIELD arsenal. This had been a plan in the works for quite some time. He was ready to present his product to two people he hadn't met before. One he had heard of due to the same field worked and the other was from the other universe. The lights cut on and blank white walls were all his eyes could see. Instantly he turned his head to the side as he caught sight of the first person, or rather thing. Joshua turned fully and looked at the large red man in his suit with a rather odd emblem on his chest. Joshua knew instantly he didn't want to be on that thing's bad side. Then his eyes looked over at the woman and recognized her instantly. He had heard rumors of what she looked like but he'd never gotten the privilege to lay eyes upon her. Beautiful but only good for just a very few things.
Without any words Joshua bowed his head, a small smirk on his face as he strolled forward and set the briefcase down on the table. "I'm Joshua Helms, scientist. Angeles said the company would be unique but this is quite a surprise." He spoke calmly before he gave a tight lipped smile and slapped his hands together in front of him. "So, let's get this little show on the road." And with that he clicked the lock off the briefcase.
