Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

Leaving Oa had been the easy part. The lanterns had been too confused to follow him, most of them not even aware that he had been anything other than a reformed Green Lantern. Since that was the case, he didn't have much trouble sneaking off the planet without everyone hunting his head. How long things would stay that way, he didn't know. The guardians were fickle beings, and they really hated his guts. If they told the whole corps he had gone evil it would be just like them. Little snots.
He sighed and moved away from the homeworld of the green lanterns, looking himself over as he flew. Back in green. Somehow, it felt like he had come back to what he was supposed to be. A funny thought, considering he had always told himself he had been forced back into the corps thanks to a ring that wouldn't come off his finger. He had always thought he would jump at the chance to be a yellow lantern again. How had that changed?
Feeling relieved to be green again- it was beyond him.
As he flew past the various planets, Sinestro found himself returning to earth's sector without even thinking about it. He was getting so used to going there- it was starting to feel like home. A home that he had betrayed, just like Korugar. Thankfully, he hadn't had the chance to try and take the whole planet over, but he had managed to do a great deal of damage in his time as a yellow lantern. It didn't take long for him. Destruction was something that came to him naturally.
He stopped as he neared the planet, his ring telling him that there was someone else nearby. It was towards the sun- a kryptonite, if he had his readings right. At first, he thought it might have been Kara, but the readings seemed too strong to be from the young woman who was still training to gain control of her abilities.
Well, wasn't like he had a lot of things to brood about or anything- he might as well go and check things out. A distraction sounded like just what the doctor ordered.
"Anyone there?" He called out, just to make sure. If there wasn't anyone, and he had forgotten how to read his ring, then at least no one would be around to see him slowly losing his mind.
That was a plus.
His ring was also picking up some trouble on a nearby planet, but he was feeling so tired at that moment he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to go and try to save the day. He had only just gotten back in green, did he really need to go zooming off the help another world?
Of course he did. Once a green lantern, always a green lantern.

Lor had been a hero for a bit over a month now, and he was getting the hang of his powers easily. He could now hear far more, and see far more than he ever had. He floated in front of the sun bathing in it's energy, it felt amazing, his body received the power and he could feel it going and revitalizing him. His suit was specially designed for this, thanks to the good folks at Wayne Enterprises. He could hear someone nearing him, and immediately he knew who it was, his surrogate father figure Thaal. He met Thaal through his kin Kara, and he was up until this point, a pretty good help in Lor adjusting to the planet earth and the hero life. Lor turned to Thaal and shot over to him with a grin on his face. ''Hello Thaal, glad to see you out here, but you must be feeling uncomfortable being this close to the star'', Lor said as he wondered why his dad was looking this down laden, no doubt the Oans had been giving him the run around, and now he was making his way back to their home planet, or what was their home planet now. Lor was of course an orphan, and he didn't know Thaal's connection to his home world, though he assumed it was okay, not knowing the obvious. Lor had been given the name Chris and he was now officially a citizen of the planet earth, no matter his origin, it was his home to protect now.
Suddenly Lor's sense of hearing, being even more sensitive due to his proximity with the sun, began to pick up disturbances on a nearby world, no doubt the same as the situation Thaal's ring had picked up. He looked over in the direction of the planet, he had not gotten to do much intergalactic actions of heroism, but he had no idea what he was going to do. His dad didn't exactly look like he wanted to go, but then again being a Lantern did mean he was meant to protect, so this was the best chance Lor had to become an intergalactic protector. it was secretly a dream of Lor's to be a Green Lantern like Thaal, but he knew how much Thaal wouldn't like that, so he never said anything.

Seeing Lor, Sinestro was able to relax- he should have known it was him. After all, he knew Lor loved being in front of the sun, moreso than any of the other Kryptonians he had met. Perhaps he was just feeling too tired to think things over logically- normally it wouldn't have been hard to comprehend such a simple situation. If only the sun could make him feel more energized- even the power recharge from his battery couldn't do that for his body.
He was a little envious.
"Hello Lor," he breathed, "being near this sort of thing isn't a bother to me- my ring makes sure of that," he assured the other easily. "Though I guess it doesn't make me feel better being around, either, you lucky dog." But he could tell Lor wasn't even listening to him anymore- he was looking off in some random direction. Okay, not random. The Green Lantern was aware that he was looking in the very same direction his ring was indicating trouble was stemming from. Clearly his hearing was getting more and more keen. To hear something from so far away- the power the sun gave him was impressive indeed. Though, it also put him in an awkward situation. He hadn't wanted to go and deal with the issue, and while he probably would have anyway, no he felt like he didn't have a choice in the matter. He was going to have to go, lest he look like an uncaring bastard.
"Guess you picked up on the trouble," Sinestro commented, looking down at his ring to gather some more information about things, "it looks like the planet is sending out a flurry of distress signals. My guess is there's some kind of thug making their lives a living hell." He sighed. First day back on the job, and he already had to deal with some kind of small invasion on a planet. Slowly, he started to move in the direction of the planet, peering over his shoulder to look back at his pseudo son.
"Come along," he said lightly, "let's deal with these trouble makers and revel in some happy aliens for a little while." Having some appreciation sounded nice right at that moment- it had been a long time since people had looked at him with adoration, especially with his recent stint as a bad guy again.
He wanted to get the looks of fear he so vividly remembered out of his head if he could.

Lor was pulled back to his current conversation with Thaal as he let Lor know that his sense of hearing was correct, there was a planet in the distance that could use some assistance, and Thaal agreed that they should go. Taking a look at the sun once more, he shot off into space toward the planet. He knew Thaal would follow him shortly after, but he wanted to get there and check it out first hand, it took him about 10 minutes to get near the planet, and he sped up to break through it's atmosphere. As he landed, he looked around checking the scene out, it did not look to hostile, there were indeed people here crying out for help though, but he could not tell why. Lor refrained from doing anything rash until Sinestro got there though, no doubt he would have a plan of action, he after all was the veteran between them.
The planet sounded wild, untamed, a bit like earth, but a lot louder, the people, the actions, the forest, the animals, even the ocean had it's own distinct sounds. None of which Lor had ever heard before. Explosions, hectic voices, all led him to believe one thing about the situation. It was war, and someone was losing, whether the right side, or the wrong side, Lor had no idea, but they would surely find out as soon as Sinestro got there. Lor looked up into the sky, he could still see the sun, but without a doubt the rays weren't as strong as when he was up close to it, or even than they were on earth. His body however, felt like he was brand new and nothing could hurt him, hopefully he would not be proven wrong on this trip. It was fun to test his limits, but finding them was the painful part. He hadn't been beaten yet, and he did not want to find his match today, though he was sure one day he would. He turned his ears to the skies to listen for the arrival of his partner on this trip.

Sinestro did not rush to get to the planet, even after Lor shot by him. No doubt he wanted to see what they were going to be encountering. For him, however, it wasn't going to be a mystery. He had seen such missions a million times in the past. Still, he probably should have been faster, just because he needed to get there to help. So he hurried himself up, arriving not too long after the kryptonian. As he had suspected, nothing was surprising to him. He took a moment to assess the weapons and ships of the attacking forces, using the database of his ring to make short work of the research.
"This thugs are called Torians," he told Lor, "they're escaped convicts and criminals from several planets, along with thugs and mercenaries who wanted to earn a quick buck through them. They specialize in seeking out small, under developed worlds and over whelming them with superior technology. They like to spend time on their enslaved worlds, causing chaos and destruction until they get bored and decide to move onto the next planet." He frowned, sneering at his ring with contempt. His eyes moved to the attackers around him, his irritation only growing.
It never please him to see people taking advantage of the defenseless.
"Destroy their ships and incapacitate them. No killing, okay?" He said, giving Lor a bit of a look. He did trust his pseudo son, and with his life, but there were days he worried he might take things too far. Killing was something he did on a regular basis, but he knew he was not a role model. He was what people should NOT endeavor to become. He just hoped he could keep those who looked up to him from wanting to become like him. "They'll be dirty fighters, and are likely to take hostages. They're also from all over the place, so there's no saying who might have what kind of ability. Some might even be a match for you, who knows?" He flew in at that, eager to get to work in helping the masses. The small, horse-like aliens were frightened out of their minds, Sinestro could sense it. They needed help, and quickly.
Lucky for them they suddenly had two of the more capable heroes in the universe to lend them a hand. Sure, the other side had a much greater number of forces, but such things had never been a bother to him before.
In fact, it still seemed unfair.
