Clark Jerome Kent
"It's easy to hate, but it's stronger to love."
.....................................................................
Full Name: Clark Jerome Kent (adoptive name); Kal-El (birth name)
Code Name: Superman
Age: 29
Date of Birth: Unknown, but celebrates it on June 1st
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Species: Alien (Kryptonian)
Alliance: Justice League
Citizenship: DC
Canon or Original?: Canon
"Victory is MINE Baldy!
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
And if you had any hair I'd take that too!"
Hair: Dark brown, practically black; as Clark, it's often worn as shaggy and unkempt; as Superman, it's neat, slicked, and uninterrupted, with a single spitcurl over the right side of his forehead
Eyes: Naturally (and therefore as Superman), his irises are an unbelievably bright, almost glowing shade of blue - bright enough, in fact, to easily be noticed as unnatural for humans. As Clark, he wears a pair of eyeglasses with thick lenses, which dulls the bright baby blue down to a shade of gray
Height: 6'4"; 6'2" as Clark, due to slouching
Weight: 225 lbs. of muscle as Superman; appears to be overweight as Clark
Distinguishing Marks: Other than his eyes, none
Appearance: Dorky. Nerdy. Unaware. Clark Kent is the ultimate dweeb. From the eyeglasses to the World of Warcraft bobblehead on his desk, he just seemed to ooze nerdiness. His slouched-over, short frame is accompanied by a bit of pudge around his neck and stomach, only accentuating the social awkwardness of his being. His dull blue-gray eyes stare out listlessly behind his glasses, almost seemingly unaware of the laughter of others around him.
Clark Kent is an absolutely superb actor. He has an uncanny ability to instantaneously switch from being one person into another. Along with this personality shift also comes a physical shift. In less than a second, Clark moves from a slightly pudgy 6'1" nerd into a muscularly hardened 6'4" man. What appears to be fat is, in reality, accurately shifted skin and muscle. The removal of his glasses leads to his eyes almost glowing with a bright, shiny blue hue - a giveaway to his Kryptonian heritage, due to all Kryptonians have glowing blue eyes. In a half of a second, awkward Clark Kent has been replaced with the confidence that only the last Kryptonian can exude.

Personality: Before going further, it should be noted that Clark views his personalities as two different extremes of the person that he actually is. He splits his personality into these two extremes in order to hide his real persona, and to better help the world. The nerdy Clark Kent is his self-doubt and baser thoughts and desires; it is who he would probably be if he didn't have powers, and is his way of venting the frustrations or thoughts that he can't as Superman. While the glasses are on, he ignores the fact that he has powers, and only uses them in an emergency, therefore allowing him to be himself, a normal human being, more. When the glasses come off, however, a different side emerges. Superman is what he can do, and is the person he acts as to help others without fear of persecution. Basically, both of these personalities are a mask: they're fronts which he puts up to both please people and hide his true persona.
To those who meet him, Clark is emotionally stunted and slightly obnoxious. He laughs too loudly, he spends far too much time looking at inappropriate content on the Internet, and even the slightest bit of dairy makes him fart in every social situation. He can be a bit of a wiseass, and he most certainly has a sense of humor. He can be standoffish and push people away, in order to prevent them from seeing his secrets and his actual identity. When combined with his nerdy interests and intelligence, it can sometimes be hard to talk to Clark, and many simply don't take the time to do so. According to his logic, if he acts as an obnoxious and abrasive nerd, then he can keep people at arm's length, and thus prevent them from thinking twice about Clark Kent being something more behind those thick eyeglasses and greasy hair than just some weirdo.
Superman, on the other hand, is the sort of person that everybody else strives to be. He wants nothing more than to help the rest of mankind, selflessly dedicating himself to ensure the survival of others. The last thing that he wants is for Earth to suffer the same fate that befell Krypton. He can see the aura of every living thing, he can hear the beauty of stars singing, and he can see the way energy waves connect each and every person in the world - thus explaining how he can continue to defend mankind, despite all of the evil in the world. He's charismatic, enough so that when he enters a room, all eyes turn to him. Most definitely, he's the type of person that the rest of humanity looks up to and strives to be.
What many people fail to forget, however, is that Superman is ultimately a champion of the oppressed and helpless. He initially operated outside of the law, and continues to do so when it's necessary. If his morals are out of sync with a law, he's not afraid to break it, and has regularly done so in the past. He does what's best for the downtrodden, the "little guy" of society, and this has included destroying greedy corporations and threatening corrupt politicians. When his morals have been violated, the Man of Steel can be quick to anger. Against a person who has violated his moral code, he is less compassionate, given to violent threats against a foe and more than willing to use necessary force.
Finally, there's the real Clark Kent: a composite of both of these identities. He's smart, a bit nerdy, but still has that same charisma that Superman has. Past the false identities he puts up, he faces bouts of low self-esteem, depression, and anger due to the fact that he is, as far as he knows, the last Kryptonian in the universe, as well as his strained relationship he had with his parents growing up and his constant feeling of alienation. Despite how he acts as his Clark Kent identity, at the end of the day, he knows right from wrong, and he's not afraid to stand up for his morals. The very definition of "altruism" is one that fits him to a tee. Wherever he goes, whatever he does, he helps whoever is in trouble, no matter the cost or the problem. He's a caring sort of person. If he believes a person is being wronged, he'll stop at nothing until justice is served.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
Powers: Kryptonian cells absorb yellow solar energy and, through a form of photosynthesis, convert it into an advanced form of ATP. This ATP is then used throughout the body for a variety of abilities.
First and foremost, an invisibile bio-electric aura is produced around Clark's body, granting him the abilities of superhuman strength, speed, and durability. In unison with a form of tactile telekinesis, he is able to lift immense weights with no known limits without the objects crushing under their center of gravity. This same telekinesis allows him to fly unaided through the air at speeds great enough to reach the Moon in mere moments. He is durable enough to survive machine gun fire, explosions, and extreme temperatures. He ages much slower than the rest of humanity, and is immune to all known diseases.
The ATP also enhances and provides other abilities. Clark is able to see virtually all points of the electromagnetic field, granting him a variety of vision-based abilities, including the ability to see through walls. He can even focus his vision, allowing him to see over great distances or even down to the microscopic level. His eyes seem to be able to generate and channel infrared radiation in what is referred to as heat-vision, allowing him to sear through a variety of substances with ease. His hearing is even greater than that of a blue whale, allowing him to hear things that other people can't. By compressing air in his lungs, he is able to generate gale-force winds or even flash-freeze objects.
The Man of Steel possesses an eidetic memory, granting him an amazing intelligence. He is able to remember copious amounts of information, and his mind is able to analyze data and come to conclusions much faster than a normal human. This also allows him to process the sensory information that he takes in while moving at superhuman speeds, in addition to processing all of the sounds that his super-hearing catches.
Weapons Though Superman has used weapons when necessary, such as an energy rifle when he was rendered powerless in the middle of Engine City, he ordinarily has no need for them.
Strengths/Abilities: Clark is skilled in a variety of subjects, including journalism, agriculture, machinery, technology, and biology. He has studied a variety of acting techniques, including those developed by Lee Strasberg. He also has a deep knowledge of Kryptonian technology and culture.
Weaknesses: Despite his name, Clark is NOT a god. He is uniquely affected by kryptonite, which are chunks of the planet Krypton that have been altered by the radiation inside of the planet's stargate system. Kryptonite produces a special wavelength of radiation that uniquely affects Kryptonian cellular structure. Several different wavelengths, or "colors," of kryptonite exist. Known types of kryptonite are:
Red - Ah, now it's getting fun. Red kryptonite is effectively like a drug to Kryptonians. While exposed to red K radiation, Kryptonians lose their inhibitions, often acting on impulse and causing subconscious desires and thoughts to become dominant. In particular, red kryptonite causes Superman to become violent, selfish, and highly erotic, as well as refer to himself as "Kal." If red kryptonite enters a Kryptonian's system, it can be burned out either through intense physical activity or through green or blue kryptonite exposure. In humans, if red kryptonite enters the bloodstream, it causes the victim to suffer the same symptoms as Kryptonians until the red kryptonite is either burned out of their system or forced out with green kryptonite radiation.
Blue - Blue kryptonite causes intense physical pain and the loss of powers in Bizarro-Kryptonians. In regular Kryptonians, exposure to blue kryptonite increases their powers, quickly heals wounds, and generally improves their mental and physical health. In humans, experiments are underway that could make it possible for blue kryptonite to be used as a fast-acting healing agent.
Black - Black kryptonite causes a Kryptonian to split into two separate beings: one composed of all of their good, pure feelings; and one composed of all of their evil, hateful thoughts. Essentially, it splits a being's yin and yang. Only through an intense battle of willpower or another exposure to black K will the process be reversed. If black K is heated, it can cause the same thing to happen to regular humans. In humans that suffer from multiple personality disorder, the black kryptonite will create numerous beings, each one representative of each personality.
Silver - While green kryptonite attacks a Kryptonian's physical well-being, silver kryptonite attacks a Kryptonian's mental well-being. When exposed to silver kryptonite, especially if it enters the bloodstream, a Kryptonian will begin to suffer from psychosis, intense paranoia, and hallucinations, effectively becoming paranoid schizophrenic. Symptoms cease when the silver K is out of range or if it is burned out of the bloodstream with green or blue kryptonite.
White - White kryptonite kills all plant life, regardless of what planet it's from. Poison Ivy beware.
Gold - When exposed to gold kryptonite, Kryptonians lose all of their powers and essentially become a regular human being. In this state, however, they aren't vulnerable to any other form of kryptonite, save for blue. If the gold kryptonite is removed from range, it takes 15.2 seconds for the Kryptonian's powers to return. Only waiting for the 15.2 seconds or being exposed to blue kryptonite will return the Kryptonian's powers. If injected into a superhuman's bloodstream, it is also possible for gold kryptonite to temporarily remove their abilities.
Jewel - Jewel kryptonite actually has no effect on Kryptonians. While a human is in skin-to-skin contact with jewel kryptonite, however, they develop psychic powers, the exact abilities of which depends on their personality. A violent person, for example, may develop explosive telekinesis, while a compassionate person may gain empathy.
Pink - Pink causes a Kryptonian to essentially become a Casanova with a super-active sex drive. They begin to emit psychic pheromones that make them incredibly attractive to the opposite sex, and often will be willing to sleep with people (or even things) that they ordinarily wouldn't. It's not surprising for an ordinarily heterosexual Kryptonian to become bisexual when exposed. If it enters a human's bloodstream, they, too, will suffer the same effects. Only when the pink kryptonite is out of range or burned out of the victim's system do the effects fade.
Magic - A form of red kryptonite that was altered by the Homo Magi years ago. Incredibly rare, when exposed to this kryptonite, Kryptonians suffer nearly identical symptoms to when a human being is under the influence of marijuana. Only when the kryptonite is removed do the symptoms eventually fade.[/ul]
Superman is also vulnerable to magical forces, though he has more resistance to such than the average person.

History: Once, there was a civilization millennia ahead of our own. Located galaxies away, the planet Krypton was a utopia, having long ago achieved a pinnacle of technology and society. However, even the most advanced of civilizations had be felled by the simplest of chaotic events.
29 years ago, a civil war broke out across the planet - the first act of violence in centuries. An anarchist movement, referred to as the Doomsday Coalition, was spearheaded by the disgraced General Zod, the former head of Krypton's Military Guild. After a trip into the Phantom Zone, the general had come out a changed man, believing that the Council, the head of the Kryptonian government, was corrupt, that the Council itself needed to be dismembered and destroyed to start anew. One of the first moves of the war was the closure of Krypton's stargate system, effectively preventing anybody from leaving the planet.
For three years, the Great War, as the war came to be known, raged on, with both sides developing all sorts of advanced technology and weaponry. Jor-El, the head of the Science Guild, fought valiantly, winning many battles against the Coalition. However, it was soon revealed that Zod's ranks were bolstered by shape-shifting aliens, who also provided unique weaponry to the Coalition. The aliens even attempted to infiltrate the Science Council to defeat them from within. Eventually, the Doomsday Coalition was defeated, and after a unanimous decision by the Council, Zod was placed in the Phantom Zone personally by Jor-El.
With the war over, everyone rejoiced, with the Council enacting a few laws to prevent another such war from happening again. Krypton entered a brief period of prosperity, with the belief that the Council had their best intentions in mind, and so they were blindly followed. In reality, the War had caused the Council to become immensely isolated, and they had become incredibly paranoid due to the threats of the shape-shifters. As time passed, the laws they continued to create began to drain the freedoms of all Kryptonians. Even Jor-El, once Krypton's greatest hero, was now viewed with suspicion.
Matters only became worse when Jor-El discovered that the damage of each sides' weapons in the War was much deeper than what was originally believed. The energy-artillery used by both sides had a highly disruptive effect on the inner core of the planet, which was becoming more radioactive and deadly to the residents above as time went by. Jor-El hypothesized that as time went by, the core would eventually become too unstable to maintain itself, and Krypton would explode. The Council refused to take his claims seriously, despite people dropping dead from the "Green Glow" coming from the ground, and demanded that he take no action, for both himself or his wife Lara. The Council had ironically become quite like Zod's own Coalition after the years of darkness.
Jor-El stayed true to his word, having made peace that both himself and his beloved Lara would die with their world. But the Council had said nothing of his gestating son. The scientist swore that his child would survive past infancy, and so he began work to convert an experimental mobile stargate weapon into a ship large enough to fit his son. In this time, the Council was making dissidents "disappear", a far cry from the once-utopian society that Krypton had been a mere five years before.
Kal-El was born without complications, and Lara insisted that she and the baby remain with Jor-El in his lab as he worked to have the most time together as a family as they could. She was right: only a month after the birth of Kal-El, the core was finally unable to sustain its mass. While the poisonous green glow was killing thousands due to the exposed core, Jor-El and Lara kissed their only son goodbye, and sent the ship off. As the planet Krypton exploded in a bright corona behind him, baby Kal-El warped off through space toward a hopeful future.
Due to the ship's warp drive, a large portion of Krypton's remains were transported with it. They crashed down on Earth, especially in Smallville, Illinois, in what came to be known as the Smallville Meteor Shower. Thanks to the ship being hidden along with the meteors, it was able evade detection. The ship itself landed in the fields of the Kent farm outside of town. Jonathan and Martha Kent were an elderly couple who hadn't had any luck in conceiving a child of their own, and the two believed that the lone baby was a sign. They raised the child as if he were their own, christening him Clark.
And so, all was good in the Kent household - at least, it was at first. Like many farms, the Kent's own didn't exactly do well, and Clark grew up in relative poverty. As a child, Clark bonded well with his father, going to the movies and such. But while other boys played ball and video games with their parents, Clark's own were aging - a fact that initially made him bitter.
A notable fact was Clark's relationship with his parents. Due to their age, the Kents were relatively hands-off parents, letting Clark essentially raise himself. Jonathan became prone to drinking as the farm did worse, though he only raised his hand to Clark one time - and when he hit his son, he found his hand to be broken in multiple places. Never again did Jonathan punish Clark, out of fear for what his son could do. Martha was a very doting and overprotective mother, who always worried for her son. He wasn't allowed to play sports and wasn't actively encouraged to socialize with other children. In fact, he was home schooled until high school, both because of Martha's protectiveness and because the two were afraid that somebody would discover Clark's origins. When the boy actually did play with other children, bad things would inevitably end up happening - unknowingly due to Clark's growing powers. In one case, another child was injured when the two were wrestling. But both the Kents and Clark himself remained unaware of the true cause, and it was simply assumed that Clark had inherited the Kent bad luck.
This was a non-issue, however, as somehow, Clark began to learn morals and ethics on his own...through popular culture, such as comic books and films. He marveled as his favorite heroes, the Justice Society of America, beat the Nazis, and always wished that he could have met them. His favorite literary hero, however, was Atticus Finch, the protagonist of To Kill A Mockingbird. Atticus always did the right thing, and believed in justice for every man - something that would follow Clark for the rest of his life. It was because of Atticus that Clark began to wear eyeglasses as a youth, even though he had no need for them.
It was in his teen years that Clark was finally able to attend public school at Smallville High, and it was here that Clark first met three people that would make the most impact on his life. The first he met was Lana Lang, his first love. Though the two were friendly, Lana would always ignore Clark's feelings, and like many in high school, fell victim to a variety of drugs, alcohol, and sex. This was largely due to Lana's feelings of abandonment after her parents were killed in the meteor shower that brought Clark to Earth.
The other two were Chloe Sullivan and Pete Ross, an interracial couple who became not only his best friends, but his closest confidants. Finally, there was Lex Luthor. The privileged son of local tycoon Lionel Luthor, Lex grew up frail and sickly due to being struck by a fallen meteor during the initial meteor shower. Due to his chronic health problems, he spent much of his childhood in and out of the hospital, during which he read many comic books and watched literally hundreds of movies. However, he would become suave and charismatic despite his physical limitations, making him the perfect antithesis to his best friend. Like Clark, he loved comic books, and the two bonded over their mutual love of all things nerdy. It was Lex who convinced Clark to become a bit more outgoing, but it was also Lex who would become Clark's greatest enemy.
When Clark was 18, he was involved in one of the greatest tornadoes ever witnessed. An F-5 tornado tore through Smallville, killing 327 in downtown Smallville...though 328 were in the area. Clark was the sole survivor of the worst tragedy in Smallville history, but what amazed the doctors more was the fact that he was completely unharmed. The official story given to the paper was that Clark was able to survive by sheer luck.
Not everybody believed this, naturally. Clark was soon contacted by Dr. Virgil Swann, a paralyzed astrophysicist. The eccentric scientist asked him a variety of questions, including if he had ever been injured, and if he was adopted. Clark had no choice but to ask his parents, who finally revealed the truth to him and showed him the ship that he had arrived in.
When Clark presented these facts to Dr. Swann, the scientist revealed that he had intercepted some messages that had been sent from deep space, and which had followed the same trajectory of the Smallville meteor shower. These messages, when translated, explained that they were from Jor-El of Krypton, who was sending his only son Kal-El to Earth so that he could survive the planet's disaster. The messages further related that on Earth, Kal-El would have extraordinary powers, which he could use to fight injustice and ensure that the events that tore Krypton apart would never befall Earth.
Clark initially ran, insisting that he was an ordinary man. The Kents insisted that they loved him as their own, and acknowledging their own parental aloofness, revealed that they were proud of the moralistic man that he was becoming despite how they raised him. With this in mind, Clark began to train with his powers, both with his parents and with Dr. Swann in Metropolis on weekends.
It was in college that Clark lost his mother, who died of lung cancer. Despite the loss, Jonathan instead became more focused on his son, insisting that Clark would make something of himself and that he would save the world. Not long after, Jonathan Kent died of a heart attack in Clark's arms. Jonathan explained that despite their differences throughout his life, he had always loved his son, and that he knew that Clark was going to become a great hero. Heartbroken, Clark found solace in Dr. Swann, who finally revealed the truth: he was Jor-El. He had survived Krypton's destruction by warping himself through the Phantom Zone, though the planet's chaotic end and the subsequent trip left him paralyzed and unable to possess powers like Clark's. Jor-El hadn't wanted to reveal himself out of fear of disrupting the Kent family, and because he wanted Clark to succeed in his training. Jor-El presented Clark with a costume that featured the House of El on the chest, and it was in this costume that he introduced himself to the world, who gave him the name of Superman. The Man of Steel was openly critical of government policies, and he strove to make himself a champion of the socially oppressed. The Daily Planet was overwhelmingly positive of Superman, believing that he didn't have a secret identity. This was due to the fact that he didn't wear a mask, and because he publicly revealed himself as Kal-El of Krypton, an alien visitor. However, many people continued to fear the Man of Steel, simply due to the fact that he was a powerful alien.
One of Superman's first enemies was the corporate tycoon Lionel Luthor, who Superman exposed as a corrupt businessman guilty of horrible experiments upon his own employees, as well as numerous other crimes, including billions of dollars of tax evasion. Rather than face prosecution, Lionel killed himself - leaving behind a grieving son.
Just as Clark was finding his place in life, an old friend appeared. Lex Luthor killed Jor-El by pummeling him to death with a kryptonite ring. Having ascertained that Jor-El had the same DNA as Superman, based on a blood sample obtained early on in the Man of Steel's career, Lex decided to get revenge on the Kryptonians, whom he blamed for the suicide of his father.
Due to exposure to the kryptonite ring, Clark was dying, just as Lex had predicted. But through sheer force of will, he overcame the poisonous ring and beat Lex to a pulp. He was close to killing Lex with his bare hands, but the villain revealed that he had bombs planted across Metropolis to explode in the event of his death. Superman set off to stop the bombs, displaying a level of speed that he never had before, and even discovered the power of flight through his sudden willpower. The bombs were disabled, with the last one thrown into the ocean.
Upon returning to Swann's residence, Clark finally intended to kill Lex, but he was stopped upon hearing the voice of Jor-El. The elder Kryptonian's intelligence had been saved onto a computer of Kryptonian technology. Jor-El reminded him to never forget why he was sent to Earth. Showing himself the better man, Superman instead delivered Lex into custody, where he remained in an institution for the criminally insane.
With Jor-El now an A.I., both father and son set about to construct a Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic, using sunstone crystals left in Kal-El's ship. With a proper Kryptonian uniform created for him, and with all of his powers at his disposal, Clark finally became a true Superman, protecting Metropolis and the Earth from devastation.
And so it went for the next ten years. Superman defended mankind, ushering in a new age of heroes with his example.

Writing Sample:
"Didja' hear the Bat killed Moochie?"
It amazed Clark just how much of a shit hole the world had become. A year and a half ago, everything in his life was perfect. He had the girl (well, at least Superman had the girl), he had a good job, and the respect of pretty much every person in the world.
"Da' Bat didn't kill Moochie. I heard da' S-Man threw him through a third-story winda'. Broke two of his ribs."
And now? Now he was stuck in Gotham, living off of the wealth of a friend.
To be quite fair, both Bruce and he were in similar positions. Of course, Clark's own predication wasn't as compromising. First Bruce had multiple cop killings stuck to him (though that was of his own choosing), but then...then he had been mind controlled into killing. That had been a bit harder for the Man of Steel to swallow. But after seeing how many times he himself had fallen prey to mental manipulation, he couldn't blame Bruce.
"Yeah, right. Probably jus' some yahoo wearin' a Superman t-shirt. Everybody knows Supes' been runnin' since the Act was passed. Maybe even dead."
As for Clark, his situation was of a similar bad-rap scenario. Lex Luthor somehow gained financial and then political influence, effectively turned the public against him, and then came the Keene Act.
On June 21st, 2008, Superman held his final press conference, which was watched by over one billion people in hundreds of countries worldwide. He had expressed his disgust with the passing of the Keene Act and the way that heroes, as well as the public's blind trust of figures such as Lex Luthor. He declared that, despite claiming to not have a secret identity as per the general public's belief, he had no intention of endorsing, supporting, or in any way following the Act. He chastised the entirety of the United States government, sharing his disgust about what it had become.
The end of the conference, taking place in front of the Daily Planet, came when the Metropolis Police's Special Crimes Unit rushed the stage in an attempt to apprehend Superman, at the personal direction of Mayor Luthor. Superman successfully escaped, marking the last time the red cape took off into the sky for all to see.
"Supa'man can't die. That's why he's Supa'man. He's prob'ly jus' hidin'. He got a bad rap, afta' all."
Just like that, the red-and-yellow symbol that had been a representation of hope for the planet Krypton had become a representation of all banned heroes. Whereas the Batman was nationally seen as a murderer, Superman never killed anybody. At the time of the bill's passing, he had been the world's foremost hero. And after his press conference, he had become a martyr. Those against the Act took to wearing the S-Shield as a symbol against oppression. Crowds of hundreds, all dressed in Superman t-shirts, would be taken down by riot squads across the country. Now, Superman was no longer just a respected hero; he had become a figure on the level of Che Guevara and Malcolm X, a logo for the counter-culture. Ironic, really, considering that just before that, he was considered "uncool" by the kids, in favor of Batman.
"But what about kryptonite and...and..."
"And nothing else, really." The voice finally spoke behind the two thieves, who had been idly chit-chatting amongst themselves on the fire escape of a slum apartment building. They had been hitting up folks in the neighborhood for weeks. But now, as the two looked at the hovering figure wrapped in a black trench coat, they had a feeling that their high times were over. It wasn't the fact that he was levitating that gave them that indication; it was the familiar dazzling blue eyes and, most importantly, the silver "S" that resided on his chest.
The two didn't even attempt to run. Instead, they stood there, slumping their shoulders in a silent sign of defeat. Superman took the opportunity to bind both their wrists and their ankles, even as he heard the sound of sirens in the distance. Calling the police had been a preemptive maneuver.
Before he could leave, though, there was one last order of business. His head was turned to the brick wall of the building, with his irises taking on an orange hue as he did so. It was something that Bruce had suggested in his teaching of theatrics to Clark.
When the police arrived, they found the two wanted muggers - and the familiar symbol that had become representative of the anti-Keene Act movement burned into the surface of the wall directly above them, with small fires still sparking at various points on it.
Superman was indeed very much alive, and he was through running.
