Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

With the two universes merging the Justice League was scattered and busy trying to protect the Earth and maintaining, yet adjusting, to their lives now that the world just got a lot more crowded and chaotic. This meeting however was long overdue, Clark had just been putting it off because he wanted everyone to settle into the new craziness of life here since it seemed to be a permanent merging.
He had sent out individual calls to both Batman and Wonder Woman about this meeting long before he sent out a worldwide message to all active and reserve Justice League members to come to the Watchtower immediately. So Bruce and Diana would no doubt be arriving in their private meeting room any moment if they weren't already on Watchtower and making their way towards him now. He gathered that they would have at least five minutes to discuss things just the three of them before someone showed up.
He had already taken the liberty to pull up some popular faces from the other universe. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, Loki, Magneto, Dr. Doom, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, all major players in this other universe and all now major threats or possible allies for the Justice League. The whole team needed to be alert and on the same page about what to do when engaging or encountering any of these other worldly beings.

Plans were finally moving forward in the right direction; a matter which had to be addressed with the entire team and a solution created within the meeting. Batman had met up before with partner, Barry Allen (otherwise known as The Flash) to discuss the recent happenings, findings, and the like at Wayne Manor. Now, they had the chance to discuss everything with the entire group. After the universes merged and everything was essential in disarray, many of the heroes were moving solo and had not attatched together as a group yet. Finally, things were getting situated and organized; much so in fact that the boy scout Kryptonian, Superman, arranged a meeting in the watchtower. Something that Batman could not miss for the world; after all, he had much to say to the rest of the group. So leaving Gotham, Bruce Wayne arranged for special provisions to be made for Bruce Wayne's absence to Gotham's public. This trip would be a while and the Bat-rocket, Batman's method of getting to the Watchtower, was already in a remote location. The transition from Earth to the Watchtower was a shockwave of nostalgia for Batman, though after leaving the stratosphere, that wave of nostalgia quickly exited from Batman's mind and the top at hand replaced it. The Earth that Batman had once known and loved had been tampered with another alternate universe, bringing forth a plethora of villains, masked heroes and higher and deadlier death tolls and crimes. Oh, and a secret police force into the mix did not help with Batman's unease already. Especially since this police force knew far too much than the Batman hoped they (or anyone for that matter) should know. Would that have been brought into for discussion? Maybe, but then again, Batman kept affairs which threatened him or his allies directly, out of discussion for these meetings. Even with the senior JLA members.
Arriving onto the Watchtower was like a breath of fresh air for Batman. Looking at the expensive and well-crafted piece of equipment put Batman at ease. Albeit gaining new members and becoming a bit noisey, this place also served as a center for solitude. Batman truly felt like a watcher as he observed his planet below. He would even pick out where Gotham City was thought to be, fold his arms, and glared at his crime-ridden, deadly, beloved city. It was an imperfect home in which Batman was glad to stay. Batman continued pass the halls of the Watchtower, admiring its pristine walls and colors, ready to meet his old ally in the meeting halls. Carried with him was a flashdrive containing the many recorded files stored on the Batcomputer. Today, the Justice League would see who and what they were dealing with. The solution to act on their new potential foes and allies would be decided in this meeting -- it had too. Batman would not allow anything harmful or disasterous to come to his city. Not to Gotham...
In his findings, Batman found it hard to agree to meet up with these new 'neighbors'. They had their own share of problems -- most of which seemed gigantic in terms of Batman's own universe problems. A maniacal clown was bad, yes, but a Hulking monster who threw around armored tanks like a basketball were even worse. The worse thing about it was, Batman basically had little to no information about this... 'Hulk'. That provided a disadvantage. Batman always needed to be informed about everything that was a potential threat -- the same with his teammates. A disruptment had been within the Justice League when Batman revealed that he had knowledge of each and every member's weakness and was prepared to take them down, should they go rogue. If that matter of trust was a challenge for Batman, even with the people who fought with him, how would it be any easier for those that Batman fought against? Batman did not want to add more people to his small list of trusted individuals.
Batman entered in the meeting hall, taking the hand of his ally in the blue and red uniform before taking his seat in his comfortable chair, marked by his Bat insignia. Hands folded and his demeanor not changing from its gruff and angry expression, Batman began. "Thanks for calling this meeting, Clark. I started to worry about you all since no one answered my phone calls or letters." Batman said, light-heartedly. It was definately good to be back; to debate about the world's future.

The Flash was an interesting superhero in the eyes of the public in that he wasn't apparently invulnerable, unusual weaknesses notwithstanding. Unlike Superman and Wonder Woman, he couldn't fly across the sky at Mach 3, and unlike Batman he didn't have any vehicles that would allow him to go to outer space. For intergalactic threats, he had to rely on magic or his friends to help him out, so the idea of having a massive satellite as the Justice League headquarters seemed somewhat unusual.
However, Barry Allen was a smart man. He had forseen this, and with the help of his teammates planned an alternate form of transportation. This gave birth to the Justice League Space Elevator.
The science behind it was simple: get a really long rope, attach it (firmly!!!) to the ground, and run it up, through the atmosphere and connect it to something in space which was heavy enough to keep the rope right but light enough not to get sucked in by Earth's gravity, put a small room on it and use some sort of energy to cause it to ascend into space.
The problem was that with a definite location, it would surely be found, and the League didn't really want everyone to know how to get into it. So Barry's genius solution was to create a device on the Satellite which would deploy upon command and come to a position over specified GPS coordinates, and shoot down, with massive force, into the ground and send the chamber down for Barry and whomever else was allowed to go up.
This was why he found himself in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, vibrating gently to keep warm, rapidly pushing buttons on a small, cell phone-like device and staring into the sky. The nearest person was five miles off, and while he'd see the cable, chances were against him doing anything about it.
After several moments, a black speck appeared in the sky. Barry stood several dozen yards off for safety as the piton made of a strong steel alloy pierced the earth and went several yards down and engaged the spikes, which would prevent it from coming back up. The machine tested the tensile strength of the cable, and the transport chamber jettisoned down the cable, stopping at the bottom. The light beside the door turned green, so Barry stepped inside and activated it after inputting the code. The door closed, and up he went.
The trip was fast, so within twenty minutes he was on the Satellite and headed toward his allies. He entered the room shortly after Batman and regarded his friends.
"Clark, good to see you. It's been a while. Bruce, nice to see you again as well. Crazy time we're having, eh?" he said with a grin.
((OOC: So I totally BSed Barry's way into the Satellite, but this was the most reasonable thing I could think of without stepping on anyone's toes. I admit that I never read the comics, so if anyone has a real explanation please PM me and let me know. Thanks!!)

I put a spell on you, you hear me? because you are mine - - - - - - - - The Mistress of Magic[style=margin-top: -10px; margin-right: -10px; border: #fff 1px dashed; padding: 5px; overflow: auto; width: 360px; height: 200px; font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; line-height: 15px; background-color: #0F0F0F; color:#8E8A8E;filter: alpha(opacity=50); -moz-opacity: .50; opacity:.50;]
Zatanna wasn't a huge player in the JLA, and although she preferred being a reserve member, this meeting was not one she was about to ignore. There were new magical signatures appearing all across the globe, ones of immense power that made her little magic act seem like small-time in entertainment terms. The Trickster Loki, a mysterious Sorcerer Supreme, and countless others were registering on the radar. She came to provide what little insight she could into these magical characters, and the experiences she's had thus far with the new heroes such as the mutants. Zatanna was very certain whatever information she had was a drop in the bucket compared to whatever Superman and Bats had gathered, but she had never been one to sit around in the audience and just watch. Not her style, not by a long shot.
Getting anywhere was never really much of a problem to a woman who transversed dimensions. For the daughter of Zatara, it was a simple hat trick. Quite literally a hop, skip, and a jump into the space of her top hat and neatly onto one of the swivel chairs in the Watchtower satellite. Her legs were crossed neatly and she slowly turned her chair to announce her presence, settled smugly in Bruce's chair. "Greetings, boys." she turned the hat in her lap and placed it upon her head once more, that bright smile directed just at them.
"Ugh, it seems like I'm early. I must correct that next time." Zee joked lightly. When the meeting began she would be all notes and kinds of serious, but the stretch of time beforehand that she liked to call 'the class reunion' was a bit more informal.

The world had changed. Fate could feel it in the earth and water. He could sense it in the air and fire. Much of what was had changed, changed utterly. And, much like in that poem, a terrible beauty had been born. New individuals had sprung up as if out of nowhere, magic flowing through their veins, and they were using that power for both good and evil. Some were as powerful as he was, while some lacked the discipline necessary for becoming a fully-fledged sorcerer. If they were to use their power for good, Fate would be more than happy to mentor them, teach them how to use the great power they wielded, and fight the demonic evils that they had brought with them. After facing the likes of Trigon and Etrigan, surely they would be a walk in the metaphorical park for the Lord of Order.
He had created a magical link from Fate's Tower to the League's watchtower, in case he was ever required to travel to their solitary headquarters. And now was such a time. The golden ankh glowed in the watchtower as Fate stepped from the top of his tower in Metropolis into the shining space station. "My apologies to you all." he said, inclining his helmeted head. "The recent influx of magic has left it difficult to create a stable portal from one place to the next." Looking around the watchtower made him realise how sentimental he was. He actually preferred the Brownstone museum used by the old JSA as a headquarters.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Zatanna. At least someone he could relate to was there.

Oh the head quarters, all the way in outer space and Dinah had no flight abilities to get there. No matter, she found a way just as she always did. For too long she had been absent. The Black Canary had left Gotham, left her friends, and everything she knew to move to Seattle, Washington with Green Arrow, her love. That had failed, it hadn't gone how she had planned. Terrible things had happened to her but thanks to the Lazarus Pit she had been born again, her specific power that she had been born with, blessed perhaps. She had the ability to produce a sonic wave that stirred deep within her vocal cords. The other part of her that was destroyed was one she dare not explore as she had wanted children and to be robbed of that experience was damaging enough. Dinah was still healing emotionally after all.
The heels of her black boots clicked against the floor of the Satellite, the voices in the room before her sent her in good spirits. She recongized the growl of the Bat, the chuckles of Flash, and the light sarcasm of Zatanna. There were others inside but hadn't made a peep in order for the bird to hear. She dawned her usual attire of the black unitard and fishnets, the black domino mask and her blonde hair in wild waves. Her fingers pulled the black gloves up, tighter against her hands before her arms fell back to her sides. She approached the entrance and leaned her shoulder against the frame.
"Looks like the party hasn't exactly gotten started," She spoke with a smirk, her head nodded in Zatanna's direction before her eyes roamed across each and every single person within the room. Superman, Batman, The Flash, Dr. Fate, and Zatanna. So few their numbers were currently, the worlds had finally settled and she wondered who had been lost in the shuffle. Black Canary pushed herself from where she had been leaning and moved further in the room and took her seat. The seat she had before she left the group and moved across the country.
"So what's the newsflash?" She joked as she placed her hands behind her head in recline. "Why the long face, Supes, Bats?" She asked all in stride knowing full well what the meeting was about. To Dinah's knowledge there had yet to be a meeting since the world's merged. This was serious business and perhaps the Black Canary wasn't taking it as seriously as she should, but what could they do about it now? It seems like the worlds were stuck this way.

The world had been hurdled into distress. Pecking orders were changed, which made everyone quake in their boots with uncertainty. Wonder Woman distinctly remembered first reading about the rift on the internet. Her people were wildly upset and worried about what the future would bring. Her inbox blew up with people asking for help or advice. With the reception received after the turmoil, Princess Diana of Themyscira knew she had to catapult herself as the voice of reason and understanding for the people of the world. They had to know that they didn’t need to worry; that ultimately, she, and others, would still be able to protect the world’s population.
This led to a video that Lois Lane volunteered her time to help Wonder Woman make. She calmed the masses with her cool, matronly voice of reason. It was exactly what the worry warts of the world needed and her video became massively popular. The video warned new evil-doers to watch where they step, because there was still justice riding in the world. This video also documented the desire to reach out to new superheroes that she was unfamiliar with.
Some people got in touch with her, but Diana knew better. She knew the big players wouldn’t easily step forward with a viral video, no. They were carefully watching her and her compatriots—seeing if they actually were heroes of the people. Honestly, Wonder Woman could not blame their actions; if she was on the defense, she wouldn’t openly reveal her appearance either.
Throughout the next few weeks, Diana made various appearances around the globe, meeting new people and learning about new groups. She met a friendly mutant group for the first time and was shocked by how they acquire their powers. Diana was simply trying to show the world that she was serious about learning about the new universe.
During her goodwill ambassador missions, Wonder Woman learned that Superman was planning a meeting of the Justice League. It was warranted. With the tumult in the world, it was impossible for the Justice League not to respond together. They could all exchange information and formulate a positive operative plan. The days leading up to the extensive meeting were extremely busy for Di. She had many different meetings in foreign locations, and in fact, had a mission scheduled in China on the day of the Justice League summit.
Diana beautifully spoke the Chinese language and met with various dignitaries, guaranteeing aid in case of any villains popping out and assaulting the country. The mission concluded and much of the press and people gathered to watch Wonder Woman, in full famous red, white, blue and gold, shoot off into the sky.
Wonder Woman flew at half the speed of light. The atmosphere felt like a firm pressured weight compressed against her skin as she glided with ease towards the infamous Justice League satellite. The beautiful blue sky turned into pure darkness and the quietude of space. Diana enjoyed the flights into space; it gave her a sense of peace, as if all was well in the entire universe. But her flying was concluded as she ascended into the satellite via an outward door made for those superheroes that could withstand space. Wonder Woman entered, shaking off the difference in atmosphere from space and the satellite, her skin rippled with goose bumps and quickly they dispersed.
Wonder Woman moved towards the blast doors and strode into the meeting gallery. Her friends were already there and prepared for an important briefing. It wasn’t like Diana to be the last one in, but with such a busy life, sometimes it was impossible to be the first on the scene.
Diana smiled as she passed the Black Canary and Zatanna. They were infinitely beautiful and could easily pass for Amazons straight off the island of Themyscira.
“Hello girls, it is a pleasure to see you again,” Wonder Woman gently squeezed Black Canary’s shoulder while looking at Zatanna.
“Flash, you are in tip top shape, I see. I believe in this new world, you are going to be running around our globe twice over, everyday. But let us hope we have this in check so you can save yourself for more important issues,” Wonder Woman nodded at Barry.
Wonder Woman solemnly nodded at Doctor Fate, “I am glad you are here. Perhaps you and Zatanna can shed some light on new magic shifting through our new world.”
Finally, Wonder Woman forged to Batman and Superman. She patted Superman on the back and nodded at the Dark Knight. Diana looked at Superman and licked her lips before speaking.
“I am glad you formed this conference, Kal. We must get everyone together, those that have not got lost in the stray, to assure that we all understand where we need to stand and what information we need to learn and know,” Wonder Woman’s breathy, deep voice oozed her serious intentions.
She turned to Batman, “I assume you have valuable data to offer the League, I… I am truly grateful that you made the trip here, Batman. It means a lot to all of us that you came to offer your wisdom.”
And with her introductions complete, Diana took her spot at the table, sitting up straight with an air of practiced grace.

Because I am more than this idol endless recital For all my demons to applaud
Akin to every other building, Question had his own ways into managing to arrive at places he should not be. Rather in this case, he was not exactly wanted, but for whatever reason he had been invited to the little round table meeting by Superman himself. It wasn't exactly how he wished to spend his day but it seemed to be required of him. If Vic could have skipped out he could. However he was on the watchtower probably way later then he should have been, every move was however purposeful.
There was something about watching other heroes converse with heroes that showed a glimpse of who they really all were. Himself included, though he did not converse with others often. Most judged him, or calling him a lunatic.
His foot steps were light on the floor of the hallway towards the war room. Not knowing who was in there or what they were talking about, not that it probably mattered to him at least. Those of them that were reserve members were hardly used. As they patrolled on their own. Unless it was big, really really big.
Question only mused the possible outcomes for the meeting, most proceeded to look grim in outcome for him at least.
It was not long before he reached the war room, allowing the mechanical doors to easily side open. They alone announced his entrance to the meeting. He was the human Enigma, and remained so. Save to a very special few. They were all familiar faces in the room. Only a handful he got along with. Canary, Zatanna and the good Doctor Fate.
The faceless one did not tip a hat nor any other indication of a greeting to any of them. Only that he lingered for a moment before walking to lean his back against the wall near Zatanna. He would not take a seat, his little idiosyncrasies would not allow it. Something about the possibility of someone walking behind his back and what advantage that would cause was no something that sat well. Regardless that they were all on the same side.
Turn coats could happen at any time and any place. It was not uncommon for others to describe the Question as paranoid, or a nut job.

OOC: Sorry it's taken so long to post in here.
Superman watched as Batman was the first to arrive, surprising to say the least. Then one by one more members showed up until the bulk of the main team was among them. Bruce and Diana were the other big ones there along with himself so he considered enough members present to get things started. He took a good long look at the individuals on the monitor and started talking.
"We all know what happened, we all know whats out there, these are all some of the big players I've come across or heard about since the merging, the majority here I've never had a face to face with yet. But it's clear that that universe has it's fair share of heroes and villains. The big question I have for each of you is what are we gonna do about it?"
He looked back at them all but most specifically Batman, if there was anyone on this team that could give a closer look at any situation or individual it was him. Hell it was very likely that Bruce already had enountered many of these people and already had files on each of them. Of course Bruce was very biased when it came to strangers which is why Diana seemed to balance them out. Clark was always trust first, ask questions later, Bruce was always stay away, trust no one, Diana seemed to be the bridge that connected them together into mutual ground on many subjects.
"From what I understand this world has or had their own group of heroes like us, think they were called Revengers or something. I'm going to put it to a vote to see if you think we should make contact with them and form an alliance or keep to ourselves and do nothing. Personally I think allying ourselves with the heroes of that universe will give us an edge against the added threats that came from it as well. Either way I doub't we'll be able to avoid crossing paths for long."

Diana listened to Superman starting the meeting. With his poised, boyscout-like elegance he began speaking to his masses. After posing a rhetorical question, Superman started talking about the “Revengers”. Diana only knew about the Avengers that she had personally dealt with or those that were in the public eye. There were only a few she knew about, though Diana wanted to meet them all. After all, just like the Justice League members, each would be able to offer some sort of ability or skill set that would better humanity’s struggle for peace.
“I have already crossed paths with a hero in the Avengers by the name of Dr. Banner. As I understand, he is a brilliant scientist that is truly gifted with all matters of science. The strange thing about him is… he actually morphs into a giant, rage filled beast that they call The Incredible Hulk when push comes to shove. All intelligence wanes into that of a prehistoric caveman as this green creature is dead set on killing all in his way. If he learns to control his metamorphosis, I believe he would be a force like Superman—unstoppable and unwilling to back down. But right now, we must keep him in our sights or risk civilians getting hurt.
Joker already attacked Dr. Banner and injected him with something that caused him to go on a rage filled spree as the Hulk. As more of our villains understand the kind of pawn that Hulk can be used as, the more attempts at his being will be made,” Diana paused and leaned forward.
“The other Avenger I have learned about because he is a public figure is Tony Stark. He is an extremely rich, often pompous figure that dawns a metallic suit called Ironman to fight villains. Thus far, he seems like a sociopath that just happens to fight crime and is often times seen as the charismatic leader of the Avengers. I believe he is a character that must be approached carefully due to his sociopathic tendencies.
Other than that, those are the only two I have found out about. We definitely need to make contact with all members of the Avengers. I believe they could be allies in the future, or perhaps even absorbed into the Justice League if we can trust them.”

The Avengers. Ah, yes, that team. They were one of the first in a long long slew of new visions that the good doctor received when the universes first merged. It came as no surprise that he could see their futures too, and, because of that, knew their identities. Not many futures were secret from Doctor Fate. It was for that reason he did not intervene with their conversation. At the moment, they were telling each other of the Avengers. It seemed redundant to bring them up again. Although, there was one individual that intrigued Fate beyond a mere passing interest. One that could rival his power, and, from what he knew, had usurped a previously occupied position.
"We are in agreement on that front, Diana." he said, inclining his helmeted head respectfully to the Amazon princess. "Yet there is one who intrigues us. He is not part of the Avengers, but bears looking into." He opened the palm of his hand. As customary when Fate cast his spells, the image of an ankh glowed on his hand glowed brightly as the shape of a miniature human body rose out of his palm and hovered in the air for a second. "Doctor Stephen Strange. Like us, he is adept in the ways of magic. Yet in the early days of the universal melding, he has declared himself to be Earth's Sorcerer Supreme. A position that was already filled by us."

Question listened, what else did they expect him to do at this moment while the so called big guns talked. Everyone in the room had their weak points. As far as Q was concerned they were all on equal ground. He made mental notes on what he needed to touch on himself once they all seemed to quiet down. "this is all great news, fantastic in fact that we all assume to know what we know about their heroes of this other parallel word of ours but" of course he was going to be the one to put a hamper on their plans to integrate the two groups into one collective. "let's not get all trusting just yet" he paused for a moment taking in everyone's reaction for the time being, fate's included. Well, his posture, face hidden and all.
"They work hand in had with a military organization, these... Avengers. The group calls themselves S.H.I.E.L.D. Before we go off letting them in on what you have established as our ways. How about we get someone on the inside of this top secret group. I for one want to know why a secret government division sees fit to hire heroes to do their dirty work. What are they them selves hiding." Question turned his face less head towards Kal, "they could be like Cadmus, all just a front for more sinister motives."
Hopefully they would listen to him, his intel an his words. Granted the Vic trusted no one easily, or organizations for that matter, having grudges against simple things such as the girl scouts or coffee companies. Though eight out of ten times, he was right about things like this.
"However I agree with Fate, my intel shows that this Dr.Strange has no affiliation with shield. Why don't we start by approaching him with this peace offering of sorts before we go for the Avengers."

You Failed This City!

Post by Oliver "Arrow" Queen on May 5, 2013 22:21:53 GMT -5
Green Arrow was incredibly late to a Justice League meeting which Superman called for. Reason being was because Oliver was taking care business back in Star City. That was his problem with the Justice League in a way. This great group of metahumans are to busy dealing with the bigger problems that they forget about the little guys who also suffer the most and his main goal, was fighting for the small people. It was times like this he even wonder why he joined the League but then he remembers, he trying to make a difference. With him being a human whose in the League, he was the voice of reason. But Oliver was aware he wasn't completely alone, not while Batman was still a member. Still two people alone couldn't possibly be enough to change the mind of all the metahumans in the League. However this was something for him to think about later, he needed his mind to be clear and truly listen to what Superman wished to speak about.
Chances are, Superman had very important to discuss. After all, Superman was a boy scout type of person and many people knew boy scouts you could trust and were always down to business. He entered the room where the meeting was being held. Upon entering the room, he spotted Superman, no doubt. Next he spotted Doctor Fate and The Question. His eyes laid sight upon the lovely Zatanna and a smile found a way across Ollie's serious face. However he quickly corrected himself but then his eyes began to wonder, studying the legs of Zatanna. Though his staring came to a end when out of the corner of his right eye, he spotted his blonde ex-girlfriend. With that, Ollie took a sit next to Black Canary and began to listen, trying his best not to draw attention on the sole fact he was late. He could see they were talking about a different world which had their own group of heroes known as the Avengers.
Ollie leaned forward in his seat, taking in all the current information which was being available. It was quiet interesting to listen about the current member of the Avengers that was publicly known, Iron Man. Arrow began mind began to wonder and start thinking about meeting this man. Perhaps if this Iron Man figure would become business partner and close friend of Oliver Queen, that would be an easy way to become allies with the Avengers. He stroked his beard, going through a few ideas which find best for this mission. He turned to The Question, who began speaking about some Doctor Strange character who had no true affiliation with military organization, S.H.E.I.L.D. Oliver cleared his throat before speaking his mind. "Question, while I believe that's a good idea...I honestly don't believe that's the best approach. From what I gather so far, these heroes called the Avengers are no more then like us. A group of individuals heroes whom have come together in order to do more good. However the differences seems to be the sole fact they were with military while we have trouble with the military sometimes." He paused for a second to collect his thoughts and form a decent argument.
"I personality believe we should be honest with the group and have a decent conversion which we discuss our views. However I am not currently unaware of how intelligence the other heroes are and there willingness to avoid unneeded violence. Thus I purpose, I speak to this Tony Stark or should I say, Iron Man. With him being rich, he is most likely a business man like myself or Batman. And with that in mind, I can present our goal of allying ourselves with the Avengers as a business purpose." Oliver finished his running his mind, presenting his opinion on the subject. Hell, most likely, Oliver was going to speaking to the members of the Avengers with or without the Justice League. He wanted to figure out what was going on and perhaps, the other heroes had other skills which could help Green Arrow improve and better himself to complete his goal that continue to drive him.

Bruce didn't ever see the need to make his presence known when all he wanted to do was listen. It was a trick he had found useful both in and out of the cowl - this was more of a mixed situation. True, this wasn't about money, nor finances - it wasn't conventional business, but neither was it simple heroic talks. They weren't discussing an attack game plan, they weren't having a little quiz of the minds - the group of them, all of them, were trying to plan a future. This was about the League, not just individuals.
Finally, he had heard enough; opinions had passed, some with more extreme fronts than others, some with words of slight experience. But that wasn't quite enough - and various things had quickly began to daunt on him. Who were these people? Well, they probably knew that already, they knew the important details, but what remained was the question of how they, as heroes, would respond to the new world. For once, they could see something; while their enemies might have been greater in number than ever before, the League themselves were truly not alone - there was another, similar group.
"You talk about them like their idiots - mindless and fixed on themselves. Some of them might be more egomaniac than true to form hero, but that doesn't make them much different from ourselves. Who's to say they haven't gathered to have the same meeting we are now? Rather than talking about them as potential business partners or possible threats, maybe we need to talk about them like we would ourselves - human. Or, in some cases, humanoid. Capable of feelings, thoughts, mortal - why would they want unnecessary violence? That wouldn't benefit them as it doesn't us."
By now, he had stepped from his shadow - cowl dawned, the bat progressed deeper into the room, looking about the group. This was a powerful team they had - it wasn't just some rag-tag combo of witless beings, sharing the odd enemy here and there. They were an outfit; a team. They co-ordinated to defeat evil, to try and dismantle and destroy it, clear the streets of the unwanted influences in the youth. They were all people with nothing to lose, just themselves, hoping to make the future better for everyone. Opinions were what separated them.
"I understand your reserves, Question - perhaps better than many others on board today. Maybe the military influence is a problem, but how do we know that's what's going on? Look at the team they have; perhaps SHIELD aren't involved in trying to get their politics in. They could be there, to keep their politics out. It's not about weapons, arms or money - Iron Man is a noted millionaire. Thor isn't from this planet. Banner doesn't even seem remotely interested in politics. Captain America is more interested in freedom than fighting for an organisation.
One thing that never could be argued, nor tested, was the sheer level of homework Bruce did on anyone he didn't know. What kept him alive and in business was knowing what stood against and around him - every detail worth knowing - and then analysing any potential outcome. He wasn't just another rich boy, playing off the hard work that his subordinates put in; he knew what was happening in his world, and the real world.
