Welcome
It all started when a crystal dropped into existence, punched a hole in time and space and landed into the lap of one the most insane men to ever walk the Earth.
At first, the clown didn't know what he had been gifted with, stuck in his cell in Arkham, staring at the reddish purple crystal laying innocently on the dirty stone floor.
And then the voices started, telling him of another universe, talking of power and chaos beyond what he could have ever dreamed.

This was the symbiote and it's human's realm, and even if they weren't together, it was very possible that Cletus would be here anyway: as a pettier criminal. However, that was not the case, fate had gone it's course, and he was here, leaping among the rooftops. A red blur in the moonlit night. "Hmm, no living soul in sight." Cletus searched all around for someone- anyone- to prey on. He had a hankering for blood on his hands tonight, preferably a man's. Sometimes that was an odd urge of his. Within sight, yes. Within sense, no. The symbiote replied and pointed Cletus's attention to a crowded city block about five hundred meters from where they were. The psychopath licked his lips. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" "Yes!" Cletus hissed back to himself, spun and headed toward there. He knew that there he couldn't be ignored, and it was the perfect place for a bloodbath... To paint the street red.
Suddenly a scream came from nearby, and made Carnage look down. There! A man to pick on! He was threatening a young woman at knifepoint. At this point in time Carnage's hunger was ravenous. He didn't care who he killed, or wether he was a criminal or hero or civilian. He needed blood. Launching himself down from the four story roof, Cletus bared his teeth and slammed head-long into the perp. As the helpless woman watched, Carnage's long claws did the deed of ripping open the guy's throat and therefore starting the process killing him slowly. The red, warm liquid washed over his hands and he grinned maniacally in pleasure. Oh, this was too good. All too good.
Meanwhile, Slowly, carefully, the girl tried to sneak away. However, the symbiote's ears picked up the crunch of her heels on the asphalt and he spun. Her eyes grew wide in terror, she trembled in fear for her life as the red thing came up and stretched itself up to full height. "Hm." With one long claw, he traced the line of her short brown hair, leaving a red streak from the blood already on his hands. "You're a pretty thing. No wonder he had... His Eye on you like he did." Now the tongue came out to lick his lips as he transferred his attention to her eyes. Green. Like Miranda's. Cletus thought, and pulled away from his tormented. He would let her live simply because of that. Not to mention, he wasn't in the mood to kill women. And this one meant him no harm. "Now go, before I change my mind." She ran back down the alley and disappeared into the shadows.
Now Cletus turned his attention back to the corpse, and let the symbiote have it's rein again. He could bathe in all that blood... He crouched over it, like a predator.[/style] |

It was another night in the dark city of Gotham. It was scary for some, exciting for others but for the Black Canary, Gotham was home. Her mother had been the original Black Canary, her father an officer with Gotham City Police Department. They were six feet under now in a useless death. A sensitive subject for Dinah still to this day and kept away from those memories as best she could.
Dinah rode the streets on her baby, her motorcycle. You touch it, you die. She had been back in Gotham for just a few days now after getting in from Metropolis. She had been visiting her friend Clark Kent, a normal journalist by day but he was the man of Steel by night. She shook her head slightly, a smirk on her face, all of her friends seem to have an alter ego. They were all dedicated to one thing and that one thing was fighting crime. They made sure the streets of their respective cities were safe, or as safe as they could be however it just seemed that Gotham was darker than others. It seemed to be a breeding ground for scum, for the nastiest of criminals.
She had managed to find a few men who were looking for trouble. They carried crowbars and bats. Dinah didn't so much as blink an eye in their direction. She was a world class fighter, trained in take down. She was more than able to handle herself and often times wondered what it would be like to take on Batman or Bane, the one who broke the man just a few years ago. Black Canary went up against the most dangerous of people but managed to walk away, not without her own wounds of course if they were more deadly than the common thug. Her black gloved hand collided with the third man's cheek for a knock out. She had hauled them together and secured them with rope so that the police may stumble upon them at some part of the night. She required no thanks for her work as she was seen as a vigilante, they all were even if they saved the lives of thousands. They feared the people in the masks, it did seem a little much to put faith in them. They had no idea who they were and if they actually stood for what they appeared.
The scream caught her attention quicker than boiling water splashing on flesh. Waves of her blonde hair whipped around her as her hands were clutched in fists, her brows were furrowed behind her infamous black domino mask. It came from just around the corner. Black Canary grabbed one of the fallen crowbars and clenched it in her hands as she approached cautiously at a quick speed only to see a girl practically fly out of the alley and down the street. She was so fast that Dinah didn't get the chance to call after her. She looked to the entrance of the alley slightly confused until she saw what the woman had been running away from. The source of her scream, of her terror.
A man, a thing, red with black detail stood over what appeared to be dead bodies, blood pooled out around them. She was disgusted, her lips pulled in a sneer to be evident enough. The lights from the streetlamps shown enough for her to see the man-thing and for him to see her.
"Ya know, you must be new to town, I haven't seen you around here before," She said as she stopped at the entrance of the alley, her weight pushed out on her left hip as her left hand came to rest on her hip. Dinah's right arm was against her body, the crowbar rested on her fishnet things. She was the blonde bombshell of Gotham, dangerous curves to match her dangerous abilities. "If I had, you wouldn't be anywhere in the city limits. Got a name to go with that quite unique mug of yours, hmm?" Her head cocked to the left. She wouldn't her nerves, not this scrapper. She was prepared to fight. She looked like beautiful blonde but oh boy did she have a trick up her sleeve. She had been born with a particular type of metagene that would be her saving grace.

Obviously, from the way no one moved and the way they breathed, seconds ago, perhaps just before the girl had run away screaming, another scuffle had gone down nearby. The thug's other lackey friends must have been waiting right outside the alley, and the unseen force that Cletus knew was rapidly approaching now had bashed their faces in. He was surprised when the light step of a woman came into earshot. Still he sat there, by the corpse, watching the red blood disperse in the dirt, wiping what remained on the carcass and licking it from his fingers. "Ya know, you must be new to town, I haven't seen you around here before. If I had, you wouldn't be anywhere in the city limits. Got a name to go with that quite unique mug of yours, hmm?" Her voice was confident, firm, full of bravado and daring. Cletus didn't have to turn around to know now that she was a hero, probably one from around these parts.
Carnage laughed, a maniacal chuckle that almost mocked the world and everything that was good in it. Raising his hand to his mouth one more time, he let a red drop of blood fall on his tongue. Only then did he stretch himself to full height and turn to face the blonde. "It's Carnage, Honey, Here at your service. " With a smooth motion, he reached down and hefted the dead body on the ground to his shoulder. More blood splashed down, covering his entire right side. As he threw it against the wall of the alleyway, one could hear the skull smash into the brick and half the bones break in the cadaver. His long tongue came out, and he brought his hand up to his temple. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Black Canary." Of course he knew who she was; he wasn't dumb. Absolutely wrong was the assumption most held that all supervillains were like the Rhino or Juggernaut, all muscle and no brains. From the start all Cletus had to rely on was his slight stature, quick wit, and street smarts. That combimation had kept him on his feet and away from the fuzz for years. Even now, when he had more power than he could have even imagined, Cletus still was heavily dependent on his miscreant wisdom to get himself out of most messes. One of the duties, he felt, that came with being a villain was learning all you could about your enemies. He read the Daily Planet on a consistent basis. The heroes were almost always on the front page: the likes of Batman, Superman, Powergirl, Robin, and of course Black Canary. "I would have liked our first meeting to be in a bit of a different place. That can't be helped now I suppose though." A grin appeared on Carnage's lips, widening into his famous, jagged smile. The symbiote kicked into full swing now, Cletus giving himself over to the corruption that was the Carnage. [/style] |

DINAH LANCE BLACK CANARY She observed the way he remained sitting, next to the dead body. His hands seemingly leaked as the blood fell from those gnarled fingertips and onto the ground, onto his snake tongue. Black Canary had seen things that were disturbing but this thing quite honestly just about took the cake. Her tiers parted, her upper lip was twisted in a sneer, in disgust. His voice was monstrous, almost the sound of nails on a chalkboard to her ears. Carnage, his name. Her eyes narrowed behind her mask. His name was unfamiliar to the woman but after tonight she would be sure to investigate whatever history that could be brought to light. Her fists remained clenched at her side, her weight shifted so that she was in a defensive stance as he stood, his laughter bounced off the walls and hit her which caused her hair to stand on end. This guy was a creep...
Her muscles tensed as Carnage moved the body from the ground and then to the wall. The sound of popping came from the body, it's bones broken to pieces. It was an obvious sign of his strength, Dinah couldn't throw a person into brick and have such things happen. At that moment she had wondered why she had been the one to discover him alone with no back up. But she was a world class fighter, she had taken the best down and he would be no different. She was human but there was the metagene that was always there, for back up. If worst came to worst she would let loose her Canary Cry and hopefully that would stop him. But for now she would use her talents in martial arts, her knowledge was extensive and it normally did just fine on the streets.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Black Canary." She wasn't all too surprised Carnage knew her persona, Black Canary was one of the many masked vigilantes in Gotham and she had taken trips out of town to help with other things. Her jaw clenched as she breathed through her nostrils for a moment. Her eyes watched his demon tongue as it moved out, the blood red coated it darkly.
"Oh, you know, pleasure is all mine, Carnage."
"I would have liked our first meeting to be in a bit of a different place. That can't be helped now I suppose though." Her hands came together as she pressed her knuckles into her palm and cracked them as she was gearing up for the inevitable show down.
"Aww, it means a lot that you've thought about our first date. Sorry to disappoint you babe," She spoke in stride, sarcasm laced in her tongue. "I'm going to ask you nicely to step away from the body and surrender. You don't do that and I'll give you a nice tour of Arkham once I'm done beating you down," She said as her right leg moved forward, planted firmly against the ground in case he took the initiative to attack first. She had just threatened him after all.

He could sense her blood starting to boil. It was a pleasure he liked almost as much as killing for blood. Exerting this power over others, manipulating them, being as much of a villain as he could. Back when he was first with Miranda, and he had repented of his diabolical ways, he had often wondered for long nights where he had gotten this love. Perhaps it had come from Anthony. He couldn't really tell. Some would say that he couldn't do this on his own, and that he should have made some friends when he could, for protection. He laughed at them in his head. Backup? He didn't need or want any backup. He was a die-hard loner, and even when he was offered a place with the hordes of Villains trying to take down SHIELD, he had refused. He had predicted a few years back that the semi-secret government organization was going to fall apart on its own anyway, so he didn't think that an offensive was really that necessary. He preferred to stay back in the shadows, watchung and then swooping in to steal a piece of the pie when the time was right.
"Oh, you know, pleasure is all mine, Carnage." He bowed in response, always keeping the toothy smile and his stark white eyes up, trained towards her. The sound of her knuckles cracking brought his sick excitement to a climax. So she was going to go the overly-violent route. Fine by him. The claws on his fingers grew longer and sharper. He started forming them into shards, too, to throw. She wanted action, as sure as Hell she was going to get it. Clenching his other fist, Cletus grew symbiote over it to form a solid, hammer-like mass. She was playing jokingly with him now. She obviously thought that she could take him. Well, that illusion was going to be shattered utterly soon. "I'm going to ask you nicely to step away from the body and surrender. You don't do that and I'll give you a nice tour of Arkham once I'm done beating you down." "I may step away from the body, but don't you dare think I'll surrender. And don't get too cocky yet, sweetums, we haven't even danced yet. I'll be more than willing to ask, though." Gathering his strength, he launched himself at her. His first attempt seemed to take him directly at her, but then swung up over her head, on purpose.[/style] |

DINAH LANCE BLACK CANARY
There was a lot that Dinah had seen in her time in Gotham, Metropolis, Star City, and even Seattle but Carnage took the cake. His smile was more sickening than The Joker, it caused chills to the core. She hadn't a clue where the being came from but she was already considering him a high threat. The villains always boasted a big game but the way he spoke, his words sounded insane. She had been around the mentally disturbed but Carnage, his distorted voice was one of thirst. Hungry for the droplets that fell from his tongue and onto the dirty ground of Gotham City. His sense of humor obviously twisted and sarcasm wasn't lost on it either with his curt bow.
Her fell into a sneer as she watched those fingers elongate and sharpen into deadly quills. She imagined he could easily slice her outfit and flesh with ease, without much force at all. While Flash had a point that parts of her outfit weren't suited for battle, she didn't feel quite suited for the battle at all. Though she'd figure it out, Dinah always did. She had that strategic mind, she was the leader of the Justice League for an amount of time before she left. She would come out of the battle victorious, the good guys always won. Right? If she didn't have her mask on then Carnage would have seen the surprise in her brows as her blue eyes watched his other hand form into a large mallet type shape. So he had the ability to change his form and he ate people. Okay, so... what does that tell her?
"I may step away from the body, but don't you dare think I'll surrender. And don't get too cocky yet, sweetums, we haven't even danced yet. I'll be more than willing to ask, though."
Without much more warning she watched him leap from his spot and in her direction. Her legs tensed as she barrel rolled to the side, missing the two trash cans that sat idly by. Her gloved right hand grabbed ahold of the handle as she planned to use it as a shield. She wasn't afraid of touching him but she didn't want him touching her. Black Canary's eyes were still on that hand in which his fingers were dangerously sharp. But Carnage easily surprised Dinah in swinging up, over the blonde. She'd take that opening. Using the lid she threw it much like one would a discus, a test blow to watch his flesh, or what she thought could be his skin, react to a touch. If there was no damage then she'd send out of fury of punches and kicks if Dinah was in the clear.

He had thought that she would go right but she had ended up diving left. It was a less than optimal decision on her part, he thought. Better for him than her, because though he had guessed wrong, It was an easy resolve. Using his mallet hand as a weight, he flipped and spun on his x and y axes, eventually coming up to face her. Well... Maybe he shouldn't praise himself too much. Because he bobbed up at just the right time, and at just the right height, to get a trash can lid to the head. "Agh!" It was thrown with enough spin and force that it pelted him like a football and ripped the thin, red "skin" of the symbiote off his the right side of his face. This time he felt warmth of blood that was his own. For a couple seconds one side of his face was Cletus, a red eye glaring at Dinah, and then the next Carnage recovered the exposed area. "That hurt." Carnage laughed. Maybe this woman had more to her than he had originally thought. A Straight on leap, going low this time, should see if she had the mettle to keep fighting. He hoped she did. This was starting to get fun. On an unsuspecting person, this move would have been like what kids learn in high school football- a tackle below the waist, but at high velocity it felt like one's guts were ripping out. The tongue came out, like a dog's. Heaven help him.[/style] |
